I have never used a computer repair service before. I have also never written a Yelp review before. But I had to after my great experience with Pocket Pro Tech. I had been experiencing a lot of issues for several months and kept putting off doing a repair in fear of it being too costly. Some of the problems were that my laptop was slow, some of the keys were slanted and the mousepad didn't work anymore. Patrick responded almost immediately to my weirdly enough, 3AM Yelp message and was very professional. I didn't expect an answer until the following day but I'm glad I got a quick reply. Patrick also immediately gave me a very reasonable price estimate range based on what I described were the issues. One tech service business I messaged (not Pocket Pro Tech) set a maximum price that was double what Patrick's maximum was. Other businesses were more expensive in their initial price ranges. In the end, I am very satisifed with how much I paid. I doubt I could've gotten a better deal anywhere else. Also, just as other reviews mentioned, Patrick was very communicative about whether I wanted to proceed with certain changes. Some of the reviews discussed being a bit wary of using a home business but his great communication made me feel comfortable. Patrick explained how much each change costed. One of the changes I needed was to replace my battery which was pushing against my keys and mousepad, slowing down my laptop, and making it last one and a half hours unplugged. Even in a scenario where it made sense to change the battery, Patrick always recommended changes but never pressured me. I've been present at other people's computer repair consultations and I've seen that especially in this scenario, other businesses would probably pressure me into paying for more than what was necessary and what I could afford since they're the experts. Per COVID guidelines, Patrick was wearing a mask the whole time we met and kept a respectful distance. Additionally, after the repairs, my laptop was returned to me after being sanitized and sealed in a plastic sleeve. This business has great sanitary standards. Overall, I'm very pleased with the service and highly recommend these services to anyone who needs a hand! Edit: I forgot to include that I had some possible liquid damage to my computer which is what ultimately prompted me to seek a repair.
