My desktop computer was very very sick and was about to crash after I had installed some security software on it. It was pretty apparent that I really needed some help! So, I contacted Tri Valley and spoke to Brian about my problems. He was at my house an hour later picking up the sick computer. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to analyze what the problems were. Brian called me about two hours later and explained what he had done so far and what other processes he was going to perform. He then advised me the computer would be fixed and he would return it by 11:00am the next day, and sure enough, he did. When Brian showed up with the computer and invoice in hand, he hooked it back up and explained a few things to me and charged me a total of $170. Do NoT drop Off anything for data recovery. The guy had no idea what he was talking about. He then proceeded to try and argue that he knew what he was doing through messages. And attempt to embarrass me. I found more info googling than he seemed to know after 20years. He then preceded to inform me that he will be contacting his attorney and filing a lawsuit against me because I was unhappy with his service and posted this review. Basically if he can't fix it using his program it's $1000 or more to recover data. And concerning his response, I didn't "Send" a lady in to do anything for me. My WIFE wanted to go in and pick up the hard drive herself and I sat in the car with my daughter because she is young and there was no reason for both of us to come in. So CAUTION!!!!!! If you have an issue with this service Bryan Flynn the owner will threaten you with a lawsuit and try to embarrass you with his response. The price he said the second "step" would be if we needed it would be 100- 350 originally and then it magically jumped to 500-1500 during this post and his voicemails. And also a new PCB with the EXACT identification information and compatibility is extremely easy to find. Even the correct revision. They cost around $43.00 which will allow the hard drive to spin. The next step in data recovery in this particular case is to swap the BIOS. Once I do it myself instead of wasting my money at a business that wasn't able to provide me with that info and just gave up I will post a photo with directions. read more

I hired Brian to look at my vintage Gateway laptop computer with a black screen. Brian ordered a replacement screen but while working on my computer he cracked the screen bezel. He explained that the plastic loses strength with age which I fully understood. Replacement of the screen didn't fix the problem. He then indicated that the screen inverter was probably defective but he couldn't locate one for my machine. He then returned my computer. I went on line and located several inverters and ordered one. I called Brian and he picked up my computer and the inverter package. He called me and indicated that the machine would on stay on for a few seconds and he was unable to fix and didn't want to spend anymore time on it. He returned it to me. After he left I noticed that the back of the display panel had two large cracks on the back. He did not inform me of this damage when he returned it. I called him to inform him that I noticed the damage and he again went into the old machine explanation. The back of the machine is built with sturdy plastic so it was difficult to understand why this damage happened. Bottom line.. Machine was not fixed and returned damaged _______ This is in response to Brian's comments on 4-22 about my one star rating of his business. Some of the comments he made in defense of his work and discussions with me are incorrect but I do not choose to go into a back and forth about this.
