So extremely helpful. Called on Wednesday to replace battery that I thought was pushing screen out. Scheduled visit for Friday, upon arrival, I was told it was not the battery but rather the after market screen hurting my phones performance and why screen was not setting flush. I had reservations about replacing screen as it was more expensive but instead of just pushing screen replacement on me.......he changed out screen to a new one, stress tested with YouTube and hotspot and showed me it truly wasn't my battery but my after market screen. I am not happy having to write this review, I went to Phone Techs and James at the store and indicated i needed to have my data transferred from and old T-moble to the new one I had purchased. The screen was dark on the old one and he told me it needed to be replaced @ 20. The labor for the data transfer would be 55. (I did it at T-mobile in 10 minutes for nothing) He didn't get the transfer done and the screen magically re-appeared after my wife pulled the battery out and put it back in. He accomplished nothing and would not refund the 75. he charged me. So I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. read more

Update: it's been a month since I went to fix my iphone. In the four years that I've had that phone, I never once had a problem with it. No "bugs" and no problems except for prior to getting my phone fixed, I dropped my phone and it finally broke the actual screen (not too much but I am a very precise person, I can't have a broken screen). I thought Phone Techs did an amazing job in fixing the screen. I just didn't think it came with an annoying "bug" and blue screen replacement. I think even though the prices were affordable, next time I rather just pay something a bit more expensive or just get a new phone if I'm going to run into a new "bug" on my phone. I don't recommend. Unless you want that "bug" that freezes your phone for 5 minutes every single day. read more

He is a super awesome dude that gives you whatever you need straight up and he isn't trying to sell you on anything, he's just trying to help. I came in with my Iphone 13 that wasnt charging all the time and he was so cool about my mom and I figure out the problem. Within 3-4 minutes he was backout and fixed the problem, which was just some packed lint in my charging port. We were so thanful for him helping us and because he originally quoted me over a hundred dollars in a new charging port, but did the cleaning anyways to save us money. He totally could have charged us and made us pay his quote, but his simple cleaning was the trick and it was on the house! It was awesome news for my mom and I because nobody wants to pay that money. WOW!!! 5 stars is not enough. These guys are AWESOME!!! I've had my share of fly by night places and I'm sad to say that the experience has tainted me. I stopped by last week to finally get my iPhone screen repaired due to a crack that's been there for 6 months. I showed them the crack and they said they can have a screen by Friday. I get a call Thursday saying that my screen is in so I drive down to finally get it repaired. I hand the guys my phone and went next door to get coffee and that's when I got the news about my screen. It seems that the crack was from my screen protector and NOT the phone itself. Anyone else would have charged me the $100+ for the screen and I would have never known. brought in an iphone 11 that stopped working for no reason. they took it in to run diagnostics (for free). they found water damage and ordered parts to finish the diagnostics (still for free). i got a call that they didnt really know why but they got it working again. i readied myself to buy a new phone for 800 on the event that it became a lost cause, but they salvaged it and i didnt have to spend a single dollar. it only took 5 days! i called for updates every few days in the process and elsa was always kind and answered all my questions. hopefully never have to go through a broken phone again, but if i do this'll be where i go! read more

I've successfully repaired my own phones and laptops for years. I had a particularly difficult repair on my MacBook Pro and this was a situation that needed more help. AppleCare ran out on this laptop a long time ago, so I thought I could attempt my own repair. I was getting coffee one morning a couple doors down from Phone Techs and noticed someone coming out with an Apple laptop. I had no idea they worked on laptops, let alone Apple laptops. A few days later I decided to bring in the laptop and explain my situation and see what happens. I was greeted by James, who was incredibly patient and friendly. He seemed to genuinely appreciate the details I was providing and after I basically admitted defeat on this repair, he was very gracious in his response. James was clearly listening to understand, not to respond. James did an excellent job in setting expectations with the repair. He explained the various scenarios and his own experience with this model of laptop. He did a full teardown and was able to diagnose the problem. He followed up exactly when promised. Turns out the problem is with the logic board and while it could be repaired, James was kind enough to point out that economically, it wouldn't make sense to pour any more money into this device. James had every opportunity to upsell and manipulate the situation to make a fast buck. Instead, James clearly demonstrated his high integrity and had my best interests in mind throughout this entire experience. I came away with what I was looking for: a clear diagnosis. But I also came away with a new ally in my repair efforts. James and Phone Techs have earned my trust and I'll definitely be back when I have other repairs. This place is ridiculous. This place is a mess. They are true criminals. Extremely rude. I got a quote to repair the back glass of my iPhone X. They tricked me over the phone with such low price. Drove all the way there when Elsa, the tech with glasses to argue with me that it's more than double my quote. I showed her my quote and she said nope. She said well we aren't doing it. It cost more then that for the part. I expected her to handle the situation in a more professional way, I specifically got quotes for a reason. I stated 3 times it was the back glass of my iPhone X. How can you give a quote and not stick to it? I warn you of getting quotes from this place. Same problem happened with another customer. I took my phone to WE FIIX on Winchester rd who were so professional and took care of my phone at an excellent price and treated me with respect.
