    Salmon Benedict
    Amber G.

This is an order at the counter and go sit style establishment. They will bring the food out to you. It is a bit pricey, but the food was delicious. I tried the birria Benedict and it was a large portion, great flavor, and a hint of spice. My husband tried the salmon Benedict and really enjoyed it. My favorite was the seasonal waffle. It was amazing. Perfectly sweet, and had a great texture balance. I would go back to that alone. Service here was also great. Food did not take long, and we were checked on a couple of times.

Black beans, chilaquiles with sunny side up eggs. Matcha latte iced!

Food here is always made fresh. The ingredients to my breakfast chilaquiles (green) are all cooked to perfection and more than enough for a perfect serving! Black beans that come with my meal are just the right side to this meal and you can get your eggs made to your choice. Service is frequently offered at table and the ambiance to my choice outside dining is so beautiful and welcoming. I give this breakfast location a HUGE must try! Thank you for always making my breakfast special and inviting. Definitely coming back!

Poached has such a cute and refreshing brunch vibe -- clean, new, and bright. We arrived right around opening, and I loved the casual ordering style: order at the register like a café, grab a number, and choose your own table. We tried the classic breakfast plate with bacon, potatoes, and scrambled eggs, along with their seasonal Pumpkin & Pear Cream French Toast. The breakfast plate was large, filling, and nicely presented. The French toast was delicious and the pear was perfectly juicy, but there was a slight aftertaste from a sprinkle of seasoning (maybe nutmeg or cloves) that I personally wasn't a fan of. Service was also fast and friendly. Even though it's a more casual setup, they checked in on us regularly to make sure we were doing okay, which I appreciated. I also ordered a green tea matcha latte -- 10/10. So good. It is on the pricier side for brunch, but honestly that seems to be the norm these days. I'd definitely come back, just maybe not super often. Overall, a great spot for a cute brunch outing!

    10/10 great brunch

Me and my best friend grabbed brunch here at the Whittier location and the food was delicious. The food is bright and colorful, everything looks and tastes very fresh. And the staff politely checks on you from time to time. 10/10 Do recommend.

I am a returning customer because the food and service are excellent. Everyone that reads this review needs to stop here and try anything on their menu. So delicious!!! It's a nice relaxing place to hang/eat with friends or family. Ambiance is friendly. Outdoor seating available for those of us who like open air.

    Chile verde omelette

I really wanted to like this spot, but the experience was well below expectations. I ordered the Chile Verde Omelette, and while the pork was tender, the dish was incredibly dry. There was barely any sauce inside or on top, which is the whole point of a chile verde dish. To make matters worse, the chicken sausage was served completely cold. The service was equally disappointing. After the food was dropped off, I was essentially ignored. No one ever came back to check on the meal or offer an iced tea refill. It's hard to justify a tip when the only "service" provided is the initial delivery of the plates. Unfortunately, I won't be rushing back.

Great service and delicious foods. They let dog sit outside in the porch and give water for the dog! Pork chop tastes good, strawberries jelly is delicious for sour dough! We will come back again!

Amazing morning family date. We enjoyed our visit but there were a long wait. When we finally got in we order at the cashier first and then they give us a table number to sit on. We found ours and enjoyed a fresh cup of cool water. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking space as long as there's movement happening otherwise, there's no parking haha. We did go in a Sunday Morning so that would explain a lot. We liked our visit and we enjoyed the time. Overall was good.

This is a new breakfast spot located in what used to be a bank. Plenty of parking in the back. We got lucky, we arrived just as they had a table open up. You order your food at the counter, get a number, then find a table. It's was pretty busy. Everything we ate was delicious. Even the breakfast potatoes were cooked just right, with just the right amount of seasoning and the right amount of roasting do they were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside side. I had the vegetable omelette with cheese. It had just the right amount of cheese inside so you could taste and appreciate the vegetables. Many times the cheese overwhelms the vegetables. We all remarked how good our meals tasted. The only downside is since you pay ahead the tip is added ahead before you are served. So you can't tip extra for great service.

First time trying Poached. Order at the front counter, take your # & find a seat /table. Some tables had a RESERVED sign ‍ Ordered Salmon Benedict w/hash browns 7/10 towards the benedict because the wilted /wet taste to bite from the greens was pretty gross! The hash browns 9/10 Fresh Orange juice 8/10 Scrambled eggs were delicious! Lemon ricotta pancake was 5/10 taste was similar to reg pancake (no hint of ) Ambiance was inviting & cute! They are going to need black out shades for when the sun is out because where we sat, it was way too hot by the window.

Hibiscus $5. Overpriced and tiny. Needs to be removed off the menu.
    Monique Z.

Overpriced & mid. The steak wrap was $20 and disappointing. Tasted like a cold fajita, wrapped into a tortilla. Would not recommend. The $5 Hibiscus was tiny and looked like water. For the same price you can get an authentic Jamaica agua fresca from Northgate that's double the size. The chicken sandwich is good and the fries are nice and crispy, but for $18? Cmon now... I'd rather go to Chick-fil-A across the street. The Chilaquiles were the best item at our table, but damn, $12 add on for steak? Sheesh. This place is overpriced for mid food. I would expect these prices near the ocean, not Whittier. Will not be returning.

This one should be your favorite spot, or at least one of them! Best hash browns, and crazy good breakfast. They also have a mimosa flight, which is fun to share with friends.. or solo Be sure to tip a little, staff will come serve you after ordering and accommodate if you need anything! Nice warm ambiance, check it out

The Flavor combination is top tier. I live how it contains its bitter/strong coffee notes throughout the drinking experience. This latte also has a sweet flavor to it which is amazing when combined with the bitter coffee notes. Overall Bark coffee is a gem that everyone needs to try.

A week before the announcement was made, I came here to try their famous blue tortilla breakfast burrito. [Parking]: There's a free public parking structure located one block away from the coffee shop (6738 Comstock Ave, Whittier, CA 90601). [Atmosphere]: Super crowded on Sunday & I was not able to find a place to sit. I ultimately ordered my breakfast burrito to-go. They also have a section of cafe that sell vintage clothing. [Menu]: For the signature breakfast burrito, they actually have 6 options - classic breakfast burritos (bacon - $16.50), Prime Steak (grass-fed prime steak $20.50), the Ultimate Burrito (grass-fed prime steak + avocado + bacon), Chilaquiles ($15.50), Chorizo ($16.00), and Vegan ($16.00). They also sell their cold brew cafe de olla in giant plastic bags that look like IV drip bags at the refrigerated section. [Ordering]: Customers can order at the cashier counter or order via kiosk (they use Toast). I reviewed their breakfast burrito options at 12 PM and they ran out of classic breakfast burrito. I ended up with prime steak breakfast burrito instead. Unfortunately I waited 45 minutes before they had my order ready and I could tell other customers were not too patient with their orders as they kept walking up to the pick-up counter & checked the ordering status. *** Prime Steak Breakfast Burrito (grass fed prime steak, scrambled egg, Monterey Jack cheese, crema, pico de gallo, tri-colored peppers, hash browns - $20.50): Unlike other breakfast burrito I have had at other places, this breakfast burrito had blue tortilla. The portion was a bit smaller than I expected, but chewy steak + crispy hash browns + roasted peppers + red salsa = one delicious and s-tier tasting breakfast burrito. *** While LFTD serves one of the best 5-star worthy breakfast burritos I have ever had in LA + Orange County, I have to take off a star due to extremely long wait time on food order. Please do yourself a favor and place an online order at least 30 minutes ahead of time if you want to try their breakfast burritos ( https://www.toasttab.com/local/order/lift-6701-greenleaf-ave ).
