I went here to take a quick meeting and work for an hour because online said WiFi. When I got there, the space is very cute - people on my meeting thought I was in a greenhouse! And I confirmed there was WiFi. Unfortunately, the WiFi wasn't working for me, and I had to frantically try to hotspot for my meeting. I also didn't love my drink. I was in the area and decided to grab an afternoon pick-me-up at Plantate Cafe. What drew me to this place was the all-vegan menu; I'm not vegan, but I do like to try vegan food alternatives every once in a while. I parked on the street and walked over to the cute pop-up truck. It was around 2pm on a rainy Saturday; there was no line, so I ordered and received my items quickly. The cafe and seating area are near Tansy, the home goods store, so the whole place is like a magical jungle! If it wasn't rainy, then I would've snagged a seat to enjoy my treats and the vibes. I got the Cold Brew with Mayan syrup and the Mayan Cinnamon Roll. The Mayan syrup added a nice drizzle of spicy chocolate to the cold brew, which really elevated the drink! Also, the drink was $6 ($5 for cold brew + $1 for syrup), which I expected for coffee in this area these days. The staff member that helped me was friendly and accommodated to my request to have the chocolate drizzle on the side for the Mayan Cinnamon Roll. The cinnamon roll had a nice flavor profile, but it was bit dry. Also, I wish it was warmer; perhaps it's better in the morning when it's fresh. It was also more pricey than I expected - about $10 - so I'm unsure if I'd get it again. But I'd definitely get the cold brew and try it with another syrup next time! read more

This is the cutest outdoor cafe in town with yummy vegan treats, wonderful service surrounded by the perfect beautiful eclectic colorful garden of Tansy. Nadia, the owner, is incredibly personable and creates everything she sells with love. I tried her vegan horchata which was delicious. We wanted to try her vegan cinnamon rolls but they are so popular that they were sold out by the time we arrived. Next time! Nadia is so lovely and she told me that she started her café because she wanted to leave something for her children and she also loves connecting with people over delicious drinks. All of her specialty beverages are vegan, including the horchata, and her beans are from Demitasse - a local roaster. In addition to coffee she also sells homemade aquas frescas and vegan baked treats from Mija's Bakeshop. Since it was a warm day, I decided to try a signature drink - Chi Chi Rodriguez, which is a combination of Hibiscus tea and organic lemonade. It was very refreshing and light on the sweetness. A hidden gem located at Tansy in Burbank. I found out about it while attending an Yelp Event at Tansy. A very cute trailer surrounded by beautiful plants and picnic tables. Nadia was so friendly and sweet to recommend a drink for me. I chose the Jamaica and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It was the perfect sweetness for me, normally when I get it from other places it's super sweet and has an artificial aftertaste. Not here, not the one Nadia makes. I really enjoyed my cold drink while participating at an community activity. Since I'm always in this area from now on I will stop by and try other drinks off the menu. This is such a cute spot! We stopped by before heading into Tansy. I was a little bummed because I wanted to try the coquito cold brew and they were all out! I got the minty mocha instead and my sister got the horchata latte. I was also really looking forward to trying the vegan pan dulce but they only offer it on the weekends. The coffee was decent but a little too pricey ($7) for the quality, imo. However, the coffees were ready quickly and this place is so adorable, if I were back on the weekends I would definitely stop by again for a pastry but probably wouldn't get the coffee again. read more

I found this cute little coffee oasis by chance by looking up coffee shops in Google Maps, and I'm so glad I decided to try it! The coffee stand is located in a cute lot shared with a plant store, so it's literally like a garden oasis in the neighborhood. Made with oat milk based horchata and good quality matcha this drink gives you the best of both worlds. Neither overpowered the other and it was the perfect balance of sweetness. Adorable tiny little cart inside of Tansy lot. Everything is plant-based so that is freaking awesome! Non vegans with love it too I assure you. The cart itself is so cute and yellow which is my favorite. We got the pumpkin spice latte which was subtly sweet and delicious. I opted for the cinnamon roll which I liked but it was much too sweet in my opinion. It would have been better with less frosting and heated up. Also I recommend asking for a fork to eat it. It was a costly pastry at $9 so I won't be getting that again. My partner got the jalapeño croissant. The party was delicious. Both flaky and doughy. A wonderful mix. But the jalapeños aren't chopped up small and mixed in with the dough which is how we assumed it would be. There are just large sliced jalapeño stuffed in the middle. He still enjoyed it but would rather they be part of the croissant instead of loaded in the middle. Quite spicy for me. I'm excited there is a place to get good vegan pastries. The person who made our coffee was very sweet. There are tables to sit at in the Tansy lot that makes for a beautiful flora getaway. We'll definitely go back. read more

The hojicha has a sweet and cinnamon like flavor and reminds me a little of chai tea. It's a refreshing drink and none of the flavors are too overbearing, perfectly balanced. The chocolate concha was not too sweet, but had the right hints of chocolate and brown sugar.
