This is the cutest outdoor cafe in town with yummy vegan treats, wonderful service surrounded by the perfect beautiful eclectic colorful garden of Tansy. Nadia, the owner, is incredibly personable and creates everything she sells with love. I tried her vegan horchata which was delicious. We wanted to try her vegan cinnamon rolls but they are so popular that they were sold out by the time we arrived. Next time! I highly recommend hitting this spot up on all the sunny days... and the chilly and rainy ones too!
Hola y Bienvenidos! To Plántate Café, serving up hot, cold and incredible beverages seven days a week (8AM - to 2PM, the early half of the week or until 4PM, the later) in la cuidad de Burbank on the main entrance patio of the wonderful Tansy plant & home goods shop. I've had the pleasure of enjoying cold brews, horchata aka what I call horchatyaas, agua frescas and those rich perfectly made round cookies that just belong in your mouth as well as in tu vida/your life!! Pan Dulce & Mayan Cinnamon Role are next on my list! Along with some aromatic teas, beautiful lattes and the incredible expanding menu at the "Plant Yourself Cafe"... Which you can do + enjoy more of your day at this two amazing places in one location gem on the corner of Magnolia Blvd & Meyers St... Just before the light at Keystone St/Magnolia Blvd. Parking is primarily street (residential as well as off the Blvd) As of 2023 all of their one of kind menu is vegan w/ a lot of gluten free options as well :D + Nadia, the owner/ your caferista, is nothing but/pero deleitosa (delightful), mágica y amabilidad (kindness)! I stumbled upon this cute little pop-up while shopping at Tansy. Located in the beautiful courtyard, Plántate Café was founded by Nadia Marina. Nadia is so lovely and she told me that she started her café because she wanted to leave something for her children and she also loves connecting with people over delicious drinks. All of her specialty beverages are vegan, including the horchata, and her beans are from Demitasse - a local roaster. In addition to coffee she also sells homemade aquas frescas and vegan baked treats from Mija's Bakeshop. Since it was a warm day, I decided to try a signature drink - Chi Chi Rodriguez, which is a combination of Hibiscus tea and organic lemonade. It was very refreshing and light on the sweetness. I loved it and would order this on a regular basis. I also got a vegan concha, which was pillowy soft and perfect! Plántate Café is open Saturday and Sundays from 11 am - 4 pm. If you bring your own reusable cup, you get your 10th drink free.
A hidden gem located at Tansy in Burbank. I found out about it while attending an Yelp Event at Tansy. A very cute trailer surrounded by beautiful plants and picnic tables. Nadia was so friendly and sweet to recommend a drink for me. I chose the Jamaica and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It was the perfect sweetness for me, normally when I get it from other places it's super sweet and has an artificial aftertaste. Not here, not the one Nadia makes. I really enjoyed my cold drink while participating at an community activity. Since I'm always in this area from now on I will stop by and try other drinks off the menu. Specially the cold brew coffee , can't wait. Oh let's not forget Plantate is only open from 11-4 on Saturdays and Sundays.
This is such a cute spot! We stopped by before heading into Tansy. I was a little bummed because I wanted to try the coquito cold brew and they were all out! I got the minty mocha instead and my sister got the horchata latte. I was also really looking forward to trying the vegan pan dulce but they only offer it on the weekends. The coffee was decent but a little too pricey ($7) for the quality, imo. However, the coffees were ready quickly and this place is so adorable, if I were back on the weekends I would definitely stop by again for a pastry but probably wouldn't get the coffee again.

The coffee stand is located in a cute lot shared with a plant store, so it's literally like a garden oasis in the neighborhood. I had an oat milk latte with "The Mayan" syrup added, which tasted absolutely amazing! I also bought a cinnamon roll type pastry that went well with my coffee. Nadia, who created the stand, was super friendly and had great energy! Besides the great coffee and ambiance, I would go back for her!

It's open every weekend, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am - 4 pm. La Jefa, aka Nadia, serves up delicious coffee drinks and agua frescas. I highly recommend their Mayan (spiced) cold brew and their Chi Chi Rodriguez, a lemonade and Jamaica (hibiscus) blend. Delicious! Their pastries, pan dulces, are all so tasty! I've had the gluten free cookies, the "elote" - a pastry shaped like an ear of corn and the pig-shaped Latin gingerbread. Yum. Stop by if you're cruising through Burbank on Magnolia Blvd. on a sunny weekend day for a tasty treat and beverage from La Jefa. Tell her I said "Hola!"

Was able to try the Chi Chi Rodriguez and Strawberry Concha while at an event at Tansy. I loved how refreshing the drink was and the concha was super good to munch on while waiting for the event to start. I love the different options that were provided for both drinks and snacks as well as how Nadia had vegan options available as well. Nadia mentioned that she's planning to get a trailer in the future, so I'm super excited to see her expand her stand!

I went here to take a quick meeting and work for an hour because online said WiFi. When I got there, the space is very cute - people on my meeting thought I was in a greenhouse! And I confirmed there was WiFi. Unfortunately, the WiFi wasn't working for me, and I had to frantically try to hotspot for my meeting. I also didn't love my drink. I hate to diss on small businesses, but for my purposes, this wasn't a good option. Ambiance was sweet though. read more

I was in the area and decided to grab an afternoon pick-me-up at Plantate Cafe. What drew me to this place was the all-vegan menu; I'm not vegan, but I do like to try vegan food alternatives every once in a while. I parked on the street and walked over to the cute pop-up truck. It was around 2pm on a rainy Saturday; there was no line, so I ordered and received my items quickly. The cafe and seating area are near Tansy, the home goods store, so the whole place is like a magical jungle! If it wasn't rainy, then I would've snagged a seat to enjoy my treats and the vibes. I got the Cold Brew with Mayan syrup and the Mayan Cinnamon Roll. The Mayan syrup added a nice drizzle of spicy chocolate to the cold brew, which really elevated the drink! Also, the drink was $6 ($5 for cold brew + $1 for syrup), which I expected for coffee in this area these days. The staff member that helped me was friendly and accommodated to my request to have the chocolate drizzle on the side for the Mayan Cinnamon Roll. The cinnamon roll had a nice flavor profile, but it was bit dry. Also, I wish it was warmer; perhaps it's better in the morning when it's fresh. It was also more pricey than I expected - about $10 - so I'm unsure if I'd get it again. But I'd definitely get the cold brew and try it with another syrup next time! read more

Can't stop by Tansy and not get a refreshment from here! Today I tried the iced matcha horchata and it was delicious! Made with oat milk based horchata and good quality matcha this drink gives you the best of both worlds. Neither overpowered the other and it was the perfect balance of sweetness. My mom got the Mayan iced coffee and she was very pleasantly surprised with how authentic the flavors were to that of Mexican dark chocolate. read more

Living in Burbank, and always driving down Magnolia I've never noticed the cute little yellow cart that sits inside the front lot of Tansy. I came across Plántate on yelp while searching for a new coffee spot to try in the area and decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did because it's now become my latest favorite. I was immediately drawn to all of the interesting menu options. I opted for the Mayan latte that has espresso, oat milk, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and cayenne. The strength of the coffee was perfect, not too weak or watered down and the flavor was so rich and yummy without being overly sweet. It definitely felt like a treat. I love that the menu features all vegan items and offers a variety of pastries and drinks to choose from. I can't wait to come back and try more! read more

Came to an event at Tansy & was excited to see this coffee stand out front. I told the lady I'd like something more than just a Lemonade but not quite an Arnold Palmer .. to surprise me. She made me a "Chi Chi Rodriguez" & it was delicious & exactly the taste I was hoping for. Thank you Plántate Cafe for hearing out my drink of desire and delivering with something even better. The best Jamaica around! Tangy and fresh. You can't go wrong with any of Nadia's yummy creations. My second favorite drink is the Vegan Match Horchata. besides the delicious drinks, the owner Nadia is a so sweet! You can sit for the day in a beautiful outside area while enjoying your coffee. First and foremost, I am a sucker for cold brew, plants, and colorful things- so when you combine the adorableness of Tansy as a location and Nadia's expertise in sippable delicacies and delicious treat offerings- you get Plantate Cafe! When I learned she was growing from a weekend pop up shop, to a daily staple, I knew this would be a regular stop for me. Despite my trying to cut back on caffeine, my heart just can't say no to her cold brew, because if I am being entirely honest- I think, NO, I know deep in my soul that this is the best cold brew in Burbank, perhaps even in all of Los Angeles. I'm a cold brew purist but recently started dabbling in the Aguas Frescas and my caffeine shakes have subsided! I also want to note that the vegan options make my heart sing! Arrive early to snag a vegan cinnamon roll which will make your sweet grandma betty jealous! Great place to meet a friend, shop for some gifts, and wet your whistle! See ya there! read more

The coffee station is operated right outside the gardening shop, opens weekends only, simple menu and sweets, tried their signature hot drink Cafe De Olla, the Mexican coffee beverage is used a traditional earthen clay pot, which gives a special flavor to the coffee, recommended for its bold taste, and the Strawberry Pan Dulce and GF Vegan Cookies were okay. read more

Street parking only but parking is easy to find on Myers St. Nadia is the owner and I met her at an event at Tansy. She was super nice and friendly. I love that she offers a vegan horchata as well as vegan cookies! The vegan horchata was delicious and refreshing and the vegan cookies reminded me of the dulce de leche besito cookies at Porto's, very yummy! read more

Came here on a Yelp Elite event to Tansy and has a wonderful experience at the cafe. I ordered the hojicha latte without coffee and a chocolate concha. The hojicha has a sweet and cinnamon like flavor and reminds me a little of chai tea. It's a refreshing drink and none of the flavors are too overbearing, perfectly balanced. The chocolate concha was not too sweet, but had the right hints of chocolate and brown sugar. They have great customer service and Nadia was super kind and even gave me a recommendation for the chocolate concha, which I enjoyed. Overall, definitely recommend this cafe. read more

Adorable tiny little cart inside of Tansy lot. Everything is plant-based so that is freaking awesome! Non vegans with love it too I assure you. The cart itself is so cute and yellow which is my favorite. We got the pumpkin spice latte which was subtly sweet and delicious. I opted for the cinnamon roll which I liked but it was much too sweet in my opinion. It would have been better with less frosting and heated up. Also I recommend asking for a fork to eat it. It was a costly pastry at $9 so I won't be getting that again. My partner got the jalapeño croissant. The party was delicious. Both flaky and doughy. A wonderful mix. But the jalapeños aren't chopped up small and mixed in with the dough which is how we assumed it would be. There are just large sliced jalapeño stuffed in the middle. He still enjoyed it but would rather they be part of the croissant instead of loaded in the middle. Quite spicy for me. I'm excited there is a place to get good vegan pastries. The person who made our coffee was very sweet. There are tables to sit at in the Tansy lot that makes for a beautiful flora getaway. We'll definitely go back. read more

One thing I appreciate just as much as great coffee is even greater customer service . The variety of Mexican inspired drinks and ingredients used really make me feel like home. The drinks are excellent. The customer service is perfect and the location is spot on. I've been going here for many years now and to see this small business grow is amazing. Her offerings are plenty and the coffee flavors are spot on. If you need a warm drink, she's got you if you need a cooler refreshing Aguas she's gotchuuu did I say the owner is totally cool too?? What a jewel of a place this is!!!! I am a coffee lover and I'm glad I found this pop up cafe. Super cute plus the owner she is just INCREDIBLE with a great vision for her business. The chi chi Rodriguez drink was my go to during the summer but I really LOVE to go get my coffee there and enjoy looking at plants since it's right in front of the store Tansy. Being Mexican American I was sooooo excited to see the conchas!! took me back to the days where my grandma and me would eat conchas while she had her coffee and it's my mom's favorite sweet bread. They also have horchata y Jamaica. I have tried the Jamaica and sometimes in other places in the Jamaica there's always either to much sugar for me or not enough concentration of flavor or to much and this one felt perfect for my tastebuds!!! Highly recommend!!! Always makes me feel good to support and find local businesses like this one!! And can't wait to try their new recipe the coquito cold brew!!! read more

My husband and I got to experience this business locally owned by a Mom ! Nadia serves assorted beverages like agua Fresca , Arnold Palmer, cold brew coffee , horchata and treats on the weekends in the beautiful and mesmerizing patio of @Tansy. There is free wifi and an ambience you will not find elsewhere. There are plants, umbrellas, low relaxing music and more. You have to go to understand how wonderful it is to sit , sip, indulge and relax while reading emails, distressing etc from your week. read more
