Having spent the last decade enjoying coffee from over 350 shops across the US, over 150 up and down Northern and Southern Cali from San Fran to San Diego alone--I can say all of this with my full chest. THIS SHOP IS WORTHY OF PRAISE. Here's half of why I love this spot: 1). They serve one of my favorite LA coffee roasters as their house drip and have a great refill policy. 2). Their pastry program is deliciously curated for lovers of sweet and savory goodness. 3). Tapas style bites with substance. But the other half, the ultimate brag on this downtown Burbank gem is the staff and its owners. Ariel, her husband, and the crew are exceptional. And the music almost always hits -- so much so that I find myself joining their Spotify jam sessions more than I'd like to admit. I wanna gatekeep so badly, but townies and guests alike deserve to experience this spot. I'm glad I have another reason not to run to DTLA, Eagle Rock, WeHo, Silver Lake, or the Westside when I want the mix of vibe, ambiance, and all the trappings of what makes the third-wave coffee movement in LA what it is. This place is a joke. Do not trust this business with your reservations or special events. No one seems to pick up the phone and response time on Yelp was slow as well. You won't be able to get a response on a timely manner. I contacted Flow Wine & Coffee in advance about bringing a group of approximately 10 people. They confirmed in writing that they could accommodate us on September 5 at 1:00 or 2:00 PM. When I couldn't reach them by phone, I followed up through Yelp and text as they instructed. I then contacted them again on August 30 to confirm our final count of 12 people at 1:30 PM. The next day, the owner told me they could no longer accommodate us because they had "lost a couple tables" and their accessible seating could only accommodate 4 people. This is incredibly disappointing and completely unreliable. We made plans based on their confirmation, only to have them cancel days before our gathering. Between not answering their phone, slow responses, and ultimately backing out of an arrangement they had previously confirmed, I have very little confidence in this business. If you're planning a group or special event, I strongly recommend having a backup plan--or choosing another business entirely. Don't count on Flow Wine & Coffee to honor your reservation. read more

We were very excited to try out the coffee and matcha from here. We realized there was parking garage that leads to one of the store entrances while here but we had parked elsewhere and walked over here. I was hoping that the drinks here would be worth all of the hassle and I am glad to say that they are! There wasn't much customer service by the staff but the drinks were made well. Manila Vanilla Latte - strong coffee with a nice flavor of vanilla. Was definitely needed for a pick-me-up!!! Dark Knight Mocha - had a great aftertaste of mocha and it was good and definitely did its job in keeping me awake!!! Stopped by for spme pastries to go. There's a parking garage behind it but it closes the gate at 9:00 so I had a minor heart attack thinking it wasn't going to be able to get out of the parking garage. Didn't have time to sample any wine or coffee. It was pretty busy for a 9:00 on a Sunday night. It's below some housing so that makes it really nice for some residents there to have a nice coffee and Wine Bar downstairs. The staff was very nice and friendly. Very lovely indoor decor. The wine didn't look cheap but I did see some $15 wine tasting. Recommend if you're in the area it's right across the street from AMC theaters in Burbank. read more

Went here one evening to give it a try and it wasn't busy at all! The inside is pretty spacious and the decor and mood lighting is immaculate! The staff was very welcoming to us and gave us her recommendations. She was really sweet! They also have alternative milk options! Our drinks came out pretty quick and they were delicious. The ube taste really meshed well with the matcha and might be one of the better ube drinks I've had recently! The Dark Knight mocha was really good too! I ordered the berry best matcha and it was easily the best strawberry matcha I've had so far. The strawberry flavor actually tasted like fresh strawberries and paired so well with the matcha without being overly sweet. Parking is in the rear back which is nice. when walking in, i was immediately greeted by the gentleman and the lady behind the counter. Flow Wine & Coffee has been on my list for some time since they opened and I finally got to try it! I tried their Strawberry Matcha Latte and their Manila Vanilla Latte. I don't usually get strawberry matcha lattes but this one was so good. The Strawberry tasted so fresh and added a natural sweetness to the matcha. It turns out they serve wine and coffee. I ordered an iced coffee with easy milk, no sweetener. It was delicious. They have variety of coffee drinks and good selection of wine. Flow is such an awesome spot in East Burbank. It's nice to see how increased density downtown supports the rise of great small businesses who make great coffee and have awesome vibes! There is a real community forming downtown and it is especially nice that flow invites artists and makers into their spaces to make the ambiance even more welcoming. Saw this new cafe on Yelp and definitely wanted to try out the matcha here. There was no line when we walked in, but the inside was very cool with AC blasting and everything looked so nice and inviting. I ordered the ube-licious matcha, which is made with ceremonial matcha and had a very nice mix of ube cream on top! I really loved how the drink tasted when I mixed the ube in with the matcha drink. It's definitely one of the best matchas I've ever had with ube in it. I've had other ube matcha drinks before but they never seem to blend the flavors well together. This one was so good and I enjoyed the creaminess and the overall finish that the two flavors of ube and matcha gave! My boyfriend tried out the Dark knight mocha, which is a very strong and rich mocha latte with a nice vanilla cream top ontop! For each drink, it was about 8$, which is not bad considering the added cream tops to them. I really loved both of the drinks and the overall ambiance inside was really nice too. First-time customer. Walked in on Tuesday at 9:20pm to get a drink before the movie theaters. Right away she informed me the coffee & kitchen was closed. I said "that's okay I don't need either." She then said I could order 1 drink (which is fine that's all I was there for). And I asked "i thought you closed at 10p." She said yes but they do last call and I can have 1. I clarified "but I can drink it [1 drink] until 10, right?" And she said "no you'd have to do it now". Which sounded like I could order 1 but I had to gtfo. So I told her I'd go somewhere else. I walked to Finneys, not realizing they closed at 9pm. I sat at the bar and the bartender asked if I'd like to see a menu. I said "no. 1 Sauvignon Blanc please". The vibes are a 10/10 for me! I came here on a Friday evening with my friend to just finish working and this place is definitely a vibe! The food and drinks are amazing, we had the refreshing prosciutto and arugula flatbread and mango matcha. The service was also amazing; everyone was so nice and welcoming, and my friend got the opportunity to chat with the owner for a bit. They also have fun activities in the evening. Stumbled across this place when my wife and I were looking for a work cafe. I tried the matcha latte and my wife had the vanilla latte. We're usually pretty picky with our drinks but these were great. Not too milky not too sweet just balanced good tea and coffee. We worked here for a few hours and had no issues with the WiFi. The Ube-Licious Matcha is so so good. The matcha itself is so well balanced and has a great taste alone; the addition of the ube cream top works so well with the matcha and it adds the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering the matcha flavor. Would highly recommend this drink! The cinnamon ensaymada was also delightful! I had it warm and it's definitely shareable. They also had different flavors of ensaymadas that all looked great.
