Playtime Pet Care has definitely become our "go-to" pet sitters for whenever we have to leave town, which has made life a LOT easier for our pets as well as us. Prior to finding such a trusted service, we would haul our pup (and sometimes cat) around with us on road trips and board them in strange/unfamiliar places; needless to say, both of our furry friends LOVE staying home and getting walks/visits from Playtime instead of the former approach. It just keeps them more comfortable, and it's a million times less jarring then taking them on the road. You can also really tell they are animal lovers, which shows in how animated and happy our pets seem in the pics they take and then email to us when we're away. (great touch - btw) We have a cat as well as dog with wildly different personalities, and playtime does a terrific job with both. The daily report cards playtime leaves with us when we return are another great, reassuring touch. Every time we come home from a trip, we see Mixa (our cat) and Gracie (our pup) just hanging out, happy as ever, as though nothing even happened. I've had a few cat-sitters since I've lived in Chicago, and Playtime Pet Care is definately the best I've had. I found them through a posting in my complex, and to be honest, I've had previous nightmares with other companies not holding up to their promises (i.e. coming home with tupperware bowls full of food and water and no sign of anyone actually being there past the first day, promised blog updates that don't get posted until you're home from vacation and no responses when I've voiced my concerns), so I was a little skeptical at first. But after using them the past few trips I can tell you that Playtime Pet Care holds true to what they tell you and are always professional and courteous. I love the daily notes that they leave with what they have done with your pets that day and the pix messages of my kitties, proving that they have actually been there. Mike is fantastic - he's very personable and you can tell that he truly loves all pets. Trish is always timely in responding to any inquiries that you have. I've been with Playtime Pet Care for several years now and they are great! The company did switch ownership, and when this occurred, the new owner, Jennifer, took time to visit all the company's clients and she spent a decent amount of time with me and my dog - learning all my quirky requests. Initially my original walker, who I loved, stayed with the company and continued to walk my dog, but he moved to California so I was assigned a new walker. My new walker is also fantastic (his name is Chase). Upon the switch, the owner set up a time for me to meet with my new walker. I always have my same walker each time, unless he is on vacation, then the owner, Jennifer comes by. My walker is very reliable, always on time, very pleasant, he leaves funny detailed notes that make me laugh when I get home, he's very accommodating with changes and my property manager mentioned to me that he's one of the only walkers she sees come by who actually spends the proper amount of time outside. Playtime Pet Care is fantastic! We have been using them for 7 months now and they are great. I called them becuase of their competitive rates, and got the most wonderful, kind, caring, dog-loving help in return! We use them for daily walks for our two bullies. Mike, one of the owners, was our original walker, and he was so good with our dogs. He took pictures of them on their walks and sent them to me so I'd know they were doing well. They recently hired another walker, Mason, who lives in the neighborhood, and the fantastic care has continued. She is so, so good with the dogs. I love the notes they leave every day, letting me know how the walk went and what business was done. I have already recommended them to a co-worker, and will continue to do so. I recently packed my bags and moved to Chicago with my 75lb pup, Cooper. We lived in Colorado where I could bring Cooper everywhere--to work, in stores, on hikes, etc. Having moved to the city for a new job, I was worried Cooper wouldn't get the same amount of exercise. Since I have found Mike and Playtime Pet Care I honestly believe Cooper couldn't be in better hands. When Mike came over for our "meet and greet," I could instantly tell him and Cooper would get along. We LOVE Playtime Pet Care! It has always been a challenge trying to find someone or some place that cares about your pet as you do, but not only do they say they care, they show it. From the moment I met Mike, I knew I could trust him with my puppy and they way he played with him and treated him made it even more comforting. We use Playtime Petcare 8 months for our 1.5 year old Golden Retriever. Since both my husband and I work fulltime jobs, we have them come over daily to walk and play with Maya (our pup). They even take her to the dog park at times to play fetch which she loves! We have found Mike and his team to be very reliable, very flexible and available whenever needed. Its wonderful to be able to get a service last minute if something pops up, or to be able cancel last minute as well. We look forward to our daily picture text messages of Maya playing as well as our daily report card on how she was for that day. They are so friendly, dependable, caring and easy to work with! My dog walker goes above and beyond her responsibilities. She always leaves a personal note about their walks, will let me know if my dog is not feeling well and occasionally she send pictures of my dog on their walks. I recently got a puppy and was worried about starting to leave him at home during work hours. Their puppy pampering service makes it easy and more affordable than other companies and I feel completely confident that Mason, our walker, takes the best care of him during the day. We went on a walk the other night and neighbors I had never met knew my puppy's name from his walks with Mason. They leave great little "report cards" at every visit too. This is an EXCELLENT pet care service. I use them daily for walks and even sign up for weekly off-leash adventures at the park or beach. I hired them to do overnight pet sitting for my dog. It's hard to find a pet sitter who will actually stay overnight with your pet but I don't like leaving her alone and I certainly wouldn't board her. They updated me every day with pictures and texts to let me know how she was doing. Prices are competitive a little bit more than boarding but considering it includes 4 walk a day I thought it was actually very reasonable. Highly recommended! read more
