When I moved to a new neighborhood and outside of my last pet care's service area, I was nervous I wasn't going to find another company that could take good care of my boy, Jonah. Thankfully, I was wrong. Purr is so accommodating, caring and genuinely thoughtful about all aspects of cat care. From communicating for key drop offs, to the email recaps they send after every visit, the two times they have watched over Jonah have been worth every penny. Each sitter clearly loves cats and pay attention to detail (and the numerous photos don't hurt). While Jonah will always be a vocal boy upon my returns, it truly feels like he was watched over in a loving way and that's all a fur baby parent can ever ask for - for them to be cared for as if they were others' own. I was so happy and surprised to find a pet care place that focused on cats primarily, and that joy has proven to be consistent with all my interactions with the Purr team. Check 'em out for your needy cats - you won't regret it! read more

They have taken great care of my cat and I feel so comfortable leaving her in their hands when I go out of town. I love getting daily pictures of her from them where they're cuddling and playing! read more

Purr Inc - A daily email while you're away with updates and photos - Pet Sitting Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

We love this service! We have used them a few times! Adamari, Taylor and Lucy watched our kitties during our last trip and did a great job! We loved getting the daily updates with the summary of the visits! Everything was clean once we returned and we could tell the kitties were well taken care of. My older cat suffers from anxiety and is prone to getting UTI's. Purr inc provided her with her anxiety medication and kept a close eye on the litter box to make sure there were no warning signs of anything being wrong. If you are looking for a cat sitter to take care of your cats as if they were their own reach out to Purr inc! read more

Although Purr Inc doesn't have pet sitters in my area, I have to leave a review for the service they provided. They let me know they didn't service my area and said if I needed any assistance finding pet sitting services to let them know. I did. And they were so very helpful! They sent me a few websites of different options based on my location, and even though they admitted never using these services, they told me the ones they were familiar with and recommended I give them a call. 3 different vendors they provided! If a company gives this much customer support to someone they can't even get money from, imagine how they would be if you're a client. read more

We are 2 cat dads in the Loop and Purr, Inc is our best friend. We used to have to scramble to get friends and even neighbors to check on them while we were gone, but there is more liability with those arrangement. Purr is geared mainly to cats, they are completely reliable, professional, and do a great job of keeping you updated with daily emails on the status of the cats and their environment. They will include checking mail and watering plants as well which is a bonus. All things considered this is an affordable option and great for cats, who are better off being home than in some shelter on extended trips. They have a great online booking service and always come through. read more

We have been using Purr for five years. Every trip we go on and they watch the cats is perfect! There have only been 2-3 services over the years through our many moves that I was so impressed with the consistency and professionalism. This is one of the best! The sitters are thorough making sure food and water are good, and litter box is cleaned. They are great with our cats and even swept up a broken glass when a cat knocked it off a counter, and left a warning that they did the best they could, but make sure to take time ensuring the area is clear of glass particles. We are moving and will hopefully find another service like this where the fees are great and the service is outstanding. read more

I needed someone to watch my cat on short notice after moving to the city and traveling shortly after my move! I was very worried and found Purr Inc. They were absolutely fantastic! They were very prompt in their replies, set up a thorough phone call to learn about my cat and her needs prior to the visit and then coordinate to have two really great sitters come by. My cat was very well taken care of, she appeared quite happy and relaxed and definitely appreciated all of the attention that she got during the visit. I appreciated the care that they provided for her and will 100% use this service again when I travel! Really fantastic team! read more

Time and again we've received great care of our cat, Gus by the team at Purr, Inc. That's even more important during this time of limited travel, as Gus has grown incredibly accustomed to have us in the house each and every day. A recent car trip to Florida was easier receiving daily updates and photos. It was arranged on just a few days' notice, which speaks volumes to their accessibility and commitment to customer service. Big fans! read more

I am a new-ish cat owner and used Purr Inc the first time I left my Cooper alone. As a shelter cat (whose a bit needy) I felt terrible leaving him but didn't want to upset him even more by taking him to an animal hospital or hotel. Purr Inc exceeded my expectations. They were timely and professional in sending updates about him, and it gave me SUCH peace of mind while away that he was doing okay. I could tell they played with him and they did a great job keeping everything neat and tidy around his areas of the house. The staff were very reachable, and made sure that every request I had specified was taken care of. I have used them multiple times now and am happy to know they are there for any future trips I may go on. read more

I've used Purr Inc. multiple times for years now, and they've always done a great job. They're 100% reliable, they follow my instructions well, and respond promptly when I ask for changes. It's nice that you can book online as well. And last but not least, I love that they send photos every time so I can see how the cats are doing. read more

Purr has been a lifesaver since adopting two kittens earlier this year. The sitters provide thoughtful updates and picture each day, go above and beyond with any instructions we leave, and give us peace of mind that our cats are happy and safe while we are traveling or away for the holidays. This year we were nervous leaving ahead of a winter storm, but Purr kept us informed of their plans to ensure all visits would be made and we knew that someone would be there to check that there weren't any unexpected heating/safety issues from the storm. I'd highly recommend Purr! read more

I couldn't recommend this more. I typically only leave positive reviews to support local businesses but this one is truly special. There is no better feeling then having my beloved pets being thought of and safe. This service is very thorough and kind, they truly want you to not have any stress while you're away but also will reach out to ensure their making sure your babies are safe. I have used for about 7 days and do not see myself using any other service. Highly highly recommend would be happy to discuss my experience. read more

We had never had a cat service before. We loved the service and it was so nice to come home to a clean house. The people who come are great. They kept the litter clean and fed our two cats. Do not hesitate to use this service. Louis and Maria were terrific. read more

My husband and I have relied on Purr inc for the last three years. Rob and Jeff are reliable, truly love animals, and go above and beyond for their customers. Each time we have gone out of town, it gives us peace of mind knowing that our two cats will be in good hands. When you schedule a time for them to check in, you can choose from a few time options, and it is all for a very reasonable price. Either Rob, Jeff, or one of their sitters comes in, feeds your pets, cleans any litter box, and stays and plays with the pets. They then send an email with updates, pictures, and any questions or concerns. If you email or text them back, they are quick to respond. The most impressive part of purr inc is their devotion to their customers and the pets. For instance, I made a mistake when I scheduled for purr inc this week. I meant to click on the 30th, the 31st, and the 1st, but forgot to click on the middle date. When we did not receive an email from purr inc on the 31st, we were concerned and texted Rob. He replied back right away and we quickly realized there had been a miscommunication. Even though it was 10:30 on New Years Eve, Rob immediately offered to swing by our apartment and check in on our two cats. They were understanding, and insisted on helping without any additional pay, but simply to make sure our cats were doing well and that our minds were at ease. I would recommend Purr Inc to anyone looking for pet care, and my husband and I will continue to be loyal customers as well. read more

I have been using Purr Inc. ever since I moved to Chicago almost 2 years ago and I am beyond happy and satisfied with the service they've provided. Their website makes it easy for one to schedule appointments and make payments. Before the first scheduled visit, a Purr Inc team member will visit your home in order to meet your pet and document any significant information. After that, you are free to schedule as many visits as you like and you will also have the chance to update them if anything has changed since their last visit. For every visit, you will receive an "update" email with pictures, which I found extremely helpful. I have a security camera installed in my apartment, and I've seen how delicate the team members are when they enter your property and how careful and experienced they are with your pets. They walk around with the utmost care and respect for your stuff. I can never trust a pet sitting service as much as I trust Purr Inc! They will always be my number one choice when it comes to pet sitting. read more

I tried using this service based on the yelp reviews and never heard back from them. I emailed them to check in and while I received a very apologetic response from an employee for the delay I was told they are no longer accepting new clients and to try Yelp along with Meowtel. Therefore I'm writing a one star review due to the ridiculous cyclical nature of this logic. I'm sure they are fine at watching pets. read more

I've been using Purr Inc since 2018 so it's about time I write a review. I love their service and my cats do as well. It's very easy to book the sitting service online. The sitters always show up when they are supposed to. They are respectful of my home and are courteous and take in packages of things get delivered when I'm away. They make sure to send pics and updates every time they come, which I find very reassuring when I'm not there. I have two very shy cats who don't come out for anyone - friends, family, etc. To my surprise one of my cats has started to recognize the Purr Inc team and has been coming out when they stop by and that says a lot about how great these people are. My cats and I all recommend Purr Inc. read more

Purr Inc., really is an amazing group! I am a nervous person leaving my baby behind when I travel, especially since its winter and my heater was acting up! But Robert was extremely helpful and responsive, which made me calm down quick! The sitters who checked on Figaro were quick with updates and pictures, it was great seeing my cat and getting the updates. And the best part was Robert being quick to respond and put Figaro on the schedule when my flight had been cancelled and didn't know if I would make it home before the next day. For this reason alone I feel 5 stars is not enough! In an already stressful situation, worrying about my cat's care was not an added stress thanks to Purr Inc. My husband and I will DEFINITELY without a doubt book future care visits with Purr Inc. To anyone who is skeptical and a nervous cat mom, I am about the worst it can get leaving my cat behind when I go anywhere (even to work I worry), so I encourage you to book with Purr Inc., those nerves actually will calm down. Thank you again Robert and team! I am beyond happy! :) :) :) read more

Purr Inc is simply outstanding. We feel so fortunate to have found them a year ago when we relocated to Chicago. Since then, Purr has been the ideal solution to our frequent cat-sitting needs. We love the ability to book visits online, as well as the photos and updates they send each day to report on our cats. The follow up notes to confirm our satisfaction is very impressive. Purr Inc is an extremely well run operation. Thank you! UPDATE 8/20/20 - We have been using Purr now for some time. We cannot say enough about how outstanding they are in every way -- time after time -- without fail. If they were ever to rename their service, I would recommend "Peace of Mind" as a good name -- they are truly outstanding. read more

Purr Inc is the BEST cat-sitting service in town. They're professional, responsive, thoughtful, and communicative. I trust them wholeheartedly with our two cats! Our cats, Cricket and Smudge, hate when we leave town but love when they receive visits from their friends at Purr Inc! We've used this company for years (20-30 visits?) and we completely trust them with our cats, plants, and mail. We receive detailed updates and 5-10 images with each daily visit. They seek out our cats when they hide and we can tell that the Purr Inc team finds their favorite toys to play with them. The level of service they provide goes well beyond caring for our pets, though. They've even taken special care to reach out to us when they've noticed concerns at our house when we've been out of town. I consider them an outstanding business and we're lucky we found them. read more

Hi Friends! I have utilized Purr this summer and I will continue to utilize their service until I am no longer in their network area. Working with the Purr team is wonderful and very easy. I have had two last minutes changes with the scheduled visits and they've been nothing but accommodating. The daily visit photos and updates from the team made me feel still connected to my cat while away. I feel very comfortable leaving my fatassed cat in the hands of Purr Inc. and hope you do too. read more

I used Purr, Inc for a recent birthday trip surrounding Memorial Day weekend. These folks are amazing. I am absolutely insane when it comes to my fur babies--this was the first time I've had someone other than a close friend look after them! Purr, Inc gave me peace of mind while celebrating my birthday. It was so nice to check my email each day and see not only a written report of what my cats had been up to, but numerous pictures of the little buggers. If Robert or any of the other sitters had an issue, I received a phone call or email immediately (no huge issues, but clarification as to which cat gets which food, for example). A huge thank you to Robert and the two frequent sitters, Jeff and Dani! I would recommend Purr, Inc to anyone in need of a sitter. read more

We used Chicago Cat Sitters over Christmas for our adult male cat, Bruce. We felt very comfortable with Robert when he came to out place to do the intake and meet the cat. His prices were more reasonable than many places offering the same services and his schedule was very flexible. I would have given 5 stars, except that he never mailed out keys back. (It is an option for them to retain the copy for future use). Luckily our building's locks got changed shortly after anyway and we were given new keys my management. Other than that, we will definitely be using Chicago Cat Sitters again! read more

I love Purr Inc! Robert is so nice, and he really ensures that his customers will feel comfortable leaving their pet in his care, taking detailed notes and asking lots of questions. I was using a different cat sitter before, but when I moved to Lincoln Park, I was told I was out of their radius, so I had to try someone new. What a great choice. I love the pics that the team sends me of my friendly guy interacting and the updates they give. I trust Purr Inc to give my cat the best care. read more

I've used Chicago Cat Sitters for almost a year now. Sometimes I leave town for a few days, sometimes two weeks - and they do a spectacular job! I always find the Cats happy and healthy when I return. I choose to use as many visits as possible - so at least twice a day - cats may seem like loners but they love to be cared for! Wet food and clean water has always been administered, litter boxes cleaned, and this time was the best service I could have imagined - my cats were recovering from an awful surgery and also had e-collars, medications, and bathroom issues - and they were handled all with such grace it was though I had never left! Even when they had accidents, cleanup was carried out and communication was prompt and just absolutely the best possible scenario. I'd trust Rob and CCS with my cats for weeks if I ever had to leave them for so long, they simply are the best. The customer service is impeccable, it's so easy to book them (phone, email, online) and once you've setup for your first time, subsequent bookings are even easier. And the photos in the daily updates just warm you heart so much it makes you miss them - just not enough to leave your trip early. If you love your cats like family, they deserve cat sitting! Friends and family won't treat your catbabbies as well as Rob will. The cost is so low and the peace of mind is through the roof, there's really NO EXCUSE not to use them. I highly recommend!!!!! read more

I have used this service to watch my cat for several years. I love them! I feel so secured and have absolute peace of mind when I am out of town. I usually go away for long weekends and trips up to 6 days and Ron and his team absolutely delivers the best service. You can schedule everything online and they correspond with you by email, gives you email updates(with cute kitty photos!) and will call you with any unexpected situations. I will continue to use them and highly recommend them! read more

I've relied on Robert and his team for a number of trips. They're fast, responsive, flexible, and reasonably priced. I have requested their services on short notice far too many times, but they've always been able to accommodate me (I don't suggest doing this, but stuff happens). Billing is quick and painless, thanks to checkfront. I get daily updates on my two cats. And if the team is ever unavailable (a week's vacation, for example), customers get a heads-up notice months in advance. Realize, I am not awarding five stars because everything is always perfect all of the time; that's insane to expect. I'm awarding Purr, Inc. five stars because they always try to do their best and always make it right if they ever fall short (which is not often). Didn't receive a daily update? Ask. Was there a cause for concern in a recent picture they sent? Ask. They always respond within 24 hours (but usually much sooner). As it stands, I never look elsewhere for my cat-sitting needs. read more

Dependable, caring and consistent daily cat care. I feel so much better about leaving our two cats, both of which have daily medication needs. Their areas are kept neat and tidy. The Purr team is the best!! Last year there was a bit of a nasty polar vortex while my boyfriend and I were both traveling for work. Our heater broke without us knowing since we were out of town and it got so cold that the water in our toilet bowl froze. Luckily the Purr staff realized something was wrong when they came into our apartment to visit the kitties - they not only did everything they could to get a hold of us, but they also called our management company to get a repairman and got a space heater for the kitties. I used the services of Purr Inc. for the first time in late March 2021. I would just like to echo all of the other fine reviews in that the team at Purr Inc. are outstanding. All of the staff are professional and easy to communicate with. I would not hesitate to use them again and I wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

Dude I love Purr Inc., best cat sitting service in the city by far. Robert is such a nice guy to deal with, deals with issues professionally and responds quickly to emails. If I could give this company 6 stars, I would. We went on a 8-day vacation to Puerto Rico and all was fantastic! They sent pictures of the cat (2) every day, plus photos of their clean litter boxes and food/water. TL;DR - Purr Inc, provides top-notch customer service and animal care. I have been a loyal customer for over two years and frequently travel for work. I have 100% peace of mind that my cats are being cared for properly and the customer service Rob provides is simply the best I have ever received from any business. --- I have been using Purr Inc. (formally Chicago Cat Sitters) for a little over two years now and realized that I have never written a Yelp review. It's a grievous oversight and writing it now is only the slightest recompense for the invaluable service they provide for me. I travel for work on a semi-regular basis at times and need daily checks, play time, and litter box cleaning for my two cats. Considering that I can be gone for an entire business week, week-after-week, I have never been comfortable asking friends/family to look after my cats while I'm gone. Also, to be quite frank, my friends and family are not cat people. I opted to find a reliable cat-sitting service to meet my needs. I feel so fortunate to have found Purr. As a new client, Rob and Jeff came by to pick-up keys and have an orientation visit. I could tell immediately that they were cat people and understood cat psychology and interaction. Rob spoke about his own cats and we traded stories in between discussions about their services and my needs. I felt very much at ease after the orientation visit and believed I had made the right choice. The past two yeas have confirmed that belief. Bookings are very simple for existing clients. Their new website is a clean and appealing design and the interface for selecting the dates and the type of service I need is fast & easy. I've booked from both my computer and my phone and I am in and out within minutes. Daily updates are provided via email which generally consist of a well-being update and photo verification. I've actually started archiving the photos as Rob has a good eye and can get my cats to sit still far better than I can for pictures. Pricing is done by type of service and morning vs. afternoon visits. While I have never checked his prices against competitors, I've found Rob's prices to be a bargain for the level of service I receive. I typically leave a cash tip to show my appreciation for the outstanding service. Customer service is simply the best I've ever received. Rob responds to phone calls, emails, and texts immediately and is always wiling to go the extra mile. Mail pick-up is included and helps me out when I'm gone for extended periods. I recently moved and Rob assured me that he would do his best to accommodate me if I ended up slightly outside their service area. As it turns out, I chose to stay in Lakeview partly because I was unwilling to sacrifice Purr for my cat-sitting needs. A consummate professional, Rob has always been patient, attentive, and understanding despite the fact that I sometimes over-explain how to care for my cats (something I suspect many cat people tend to do). Finally, my cats tell the whole story. When I return home from a trip, they are very happy and never show the slightest signs of stress. This peace of mind is the truly priceless service Purr provides. After my recent move, Rob came by to pick up new keys and have a re-orientation visit in my new apartment. My skittish black cat, who always makes himself scarce when I have company, was hanging out and chilling on the couch the whole time "Uncle Rob" was visiting. I can think of no greater testament to Purr's excellence. Simply put, I cannot imagine any way Purr could improve their service. Rob & company provide the best customer service for me and the best care for my cats that I could ever hope for. read more

I've been using Purr for eight years. There are reasons I've used them for eight years. They are professional, attentive, punctual and caring. I have used Purr Inc. about a dozen times now. No issues. The price is reasonable, they allow you to schedule every other day (for cats, anyway). They communicate with me quickly after each visit. The payment process is easy. All but once they've sent the same person. This last visit, I was out of the country and Rob discovered an active water leak in my ceiling. He called me, which was the right decision. He took the necessary steps to protect my house, and then agreed to return the next day to look into the issue, even though he wasn't scheduled and it was a holiday week. read more

Purr inc has changed the way we feel about going on trips. They are extremely responsible, responsive, and respectful. I love getting the pictures to show everything is set up/refilled as well as pics of the kitties. Little hiccups (on my part) can come up and they navigate it very professionally. I forgot to leave something out once so he couldn't complete the a task, and they called right away to let me know. He even went back to my house to finish it when I let him know where it was. Way above and beyond. Highly recommend. read more

I haven't had anything but excellent experiences with Purr Inc. I moved to Chicago and got my cat about two years ago. I travel back and forth to the east coast a lot to visit family, and have always used Purr Inc. Robert is extremely thorough and accommodating. On several occassions, the various sitters who have looked in on our cat have gone above and beyond - in getting copies of our keys made, helping a friend get in our apartment when we were gone after she locked her purse inside, and even going as far as helping clean up when we had a water issue at our apartment when my husband and I were on our honeymoon. Additionally, the sitters always seem to really engage with our cat and seem to genuinely care about him.
