Today my family was turned away from the corn maze , I called to check times and looked on their website which clearly states 10-6 , they told me they were closing early bc it wasn't busy and it was bad weather ( currently 66 degrees/clear) . Somehow never knew that this place existed even though I only live about 10-15 minutes away. Came here for the first time a couple nights ago and I will definitely be back! It's such a cute little place that almost made us forget that we were in Trumbull. Felt more like we were sitting on a farm somewhere down south. I got the mini apple cider donut sundae and my boyfriend got a Bordeaux Cherry shake. Both were very good! The apple cider donut was one of the best I've ever had. The corn maze is not the biggest but it was fun! I'll tell you why. They gave out these scratch card for each person, each check point has a post with question/picture, scratching it on your card will give you a set of points. Whoever has the most points in your party gets a coin to redeem free soft serve ice cream. Everyone has different cards so questions are different even at the same check points. I have to say this was a brilliant idea to motivate us to find every check point, and not just go from start to end. It also made for engaging competitive and fun for us 20s people lol There were lots of kids there too though. Not to brag but I did get the most points from my friend group of 3. The line was longggg at the ice cream place. Got a box of donut and ice cream in a cup with two scoops, total came out to like $10 ish (that's after they subtracted the coin)? I realized it didn't make sense after I paid because it was the same price as how much my friend paid who got the same stuff as me. They definitely made a mistake but I didn't feel like going back to correct it and add more trouble for them. Overall, it was fun! Wish there was more parking available. Waited over 45 minutes with only two people working and the line wasn't even long. We only ordered 4 small ice creams in cups, so nothing fancy. Waited all this time for the most freezer burned chocolate ice cream that left a disgusting taste in my mouth after two bites. What a great family farm to always rely on. My family and I came here last year and this year for our Christmas tree and couldn't be happier. The guys helping us out with the trees were very knowledgeable and attentive and great with our kids. They tied it down to my car fast and made the whole process very easy and fun for us. The worker then told us about the new cafe which we then decided to check out and it was absolutely gorgeous inside. It had great coffee and hot chocolate for the kids, and we are definitely going to make coming here for our trees a tradition. I will also definitely be coming back to get some more coffee as well. My family didn't want to drive all the way to Rich's Farm in Oxford for ice cream, so instead we came here because it was closer to me and I LOVED IT. Their homemade ice cream is really good (I had Cookie Monster + Birthday Cake,) but they also have Italian ices and speciality sundaes and things of that sort. They only have several of their homemade ice creams available at a time, but they all looked SO good and unique. Service was also really great and the woman took her time to explain everything as we were first timers. It's also a little bit different than most ice cream places as they take your order up front and then make everything and then call your name from the window outside. Thought that was different. Inside the stand they also have cider donuts, quarts/pints, ice cream sandwiches and more. They also have lots of tables outside under the tent and outside the tent. We've been going here for years. For years it was just a floral garden shop which in itself was impressive. Up to date they now have an adorable ice cream shop with fresh homemade ice cream and baked goods. Families come and get cozy in all the chairs on nice nights and it's a really great community feeling. The family also have several different events throughout the year. The biggest attraction besides the yummy ice cream is their corn maze in the fall. This family is all hands on deck. Very kind and very hardworking. Not covid friendly at all!!! Not enforcing social distancing at all. Not enforcing masks at all. 45 minutes to get a small soft serve (they forgot us!). Absolutely awful experience here this past Sunday September 29th 2019. There is not a single worker here that knows how to smile, say hi, say thank you, make eye contact or be nice. There was a really tall, thin girl with long blond hair working that wouldn't get off her cell phone to even have a conversation with me when I asked her some questions. Every worker was so rude and acted like you were annoying them and stopping them from using their cell phones and texting the entire time. The only good part was the corn maze but it did cost almost $40 for four people to go around and it's very small and congested. We had to wait behind numerous other families to do the treasure hunt almost every time. The hayride was just one little loop with a cranky owner and once again nothing fun for the kids, they were very bored and it cost us $8.00. The pumpkins are all prepicked, which I did not realize there was no patch. They are beautiful pumpkins but extremely expensive it cost us $90 for 4 pumpkins. Also, the creamery itself, was absolutely disgusting. Not one worker had gloves on and their handling all the food. They literally all had ice cream all over their hands because they're scooping ice cream that's really melted looking and getting it all over their hands and then serving that disgusting ice cream which their hands were just inside of, to people. When I ask them why they don't have gloves they said that they were not given gloves to use. How do they not know better than to put their dirty hands inside the ice cream? I also saw one of the workers while she was scooping ice cream take a plastic spoon and start eating off the scoop she was scooping for a customer and start eating it, in the middle of a huge busy line. They're all basically young and very disrespectful rude kids working there. The ice cream is extremely mushy and melted, so it worries me health-wise that they're not keeping them to the right temperatures. I would absolutely never go here again and I would never suggest going here. I think there's lots of health issues, the lack of gloves and the lack of people being polite and how expensive everything is and the ice cream being so melted. A lot of other people posted the same thing about the temperatures of the ice cream. Just not worth it, pass on this place. It also says a lot that the owner probably sees all these posts about the ice cream and the rude workers and doesn't care enough to do anything, he also doesn't care enough to give his workers gloves. Ice cream was decent but the service was terrible. I got an Apple cider doughnut ice cream in a cone. It was ok in my opinion nothing amazing. What I didn't like was how rude the staff was. The girl who worked the ice cream counter didn't seem to have any customer service training or experience as she literally asked what do you want? I'm not one to leave reviews, but I decided to sign up for Yelp today because of the experience I had today at Plasko's. I stopped in with my family today around 7:30pm today, 4/28. While yes, I did have to wait a fair while to be served, the customer service I received was exemplary. The workers, while busy dealing with an extremely busy work environment, all had time to answer my questions about the ice cream, especially when I mentioned that my daughter has life-threatening peanut and treenut allergies. They were extraordinarily kind to me and my family before, during, and after the ordering process. The worker at the register made sure to tell me how long the wait was going to be after ordering (he said ten minutes for our four ice creams, but we got the order in less than five minutes), and the ice cream was just as good as the other reviews say, if not better. They also made sure everyone was wearing masks while in line, all employees scooping ice cream were wearing gloves, and altogether made my family feel very safe during the hour or so we were there tonight. read more

Recently came in with my family and employees were very friendly and greeted us immediately when we walked in through the door. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. My son has major allergies and I was very glad that they sanitized their scoopers and took our allergies seriously. They make sanitization a clear priority that made me very pleased. There was a vast selection of ice cream flavors along with many toppings to choose from. Store was clean and organized. We bought homemade baked goods and they were delicious.
