There is no wedding, idea, or venue to big, or too complex for the ladies of Planning Elegance. Every girl has their dream wedding, and lucky for me, I had a DREAM TEAM. Mili, Neema, Sonal, and the whole Planning Elegance team are truly exceptional. To say Indian weddings are complicated, is an understatement. On top of that, Mili's team helped us plan 6 events in 3 days, at 3 different venues with guest counts from 200-800. My actual wedding and reception were held at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center Terrace Theater, a very far from typical choice for a wedding venue. However, we chose it because we wanted to utilize the space in a unique way - something that had never been done before. We spent many meetings and site visits with Mili to evolve our concept and the many logistics that came with it. It was challenging to say the least, but with Mili and her team's experience, knowledge, and attention to detail, we watched our vision come to life. Both mine, and my husband's immediate families were heavily involved in the planning process. That means 4 parents, 4 siblings, 2 grandmothers, and a bride and a groom, yet Mili and her team found a way to incorporate everyone's ideas, suggestions, and wishes. Yes, a wedding is about the couple, but for Indian weddings, it's also about the family. You can tell Planning Elegance's team truly understands this because the entire weekend both families were constantly checked up on and offered food, water, and any other assistance they needed. Mili and her team go above and beyond to take care of not just the couple, but their families and guests. All 6 of our events started and ended on time, (some even ahead of schedule), which meant a lot to our guests who weren't left sitting and waiting, and in turn felt that we valued their company and time. To this day, I have not heard of a single thing issue or problem that occurred, and while there is no such thing as a perfect wedding, P.E. handled every twist and turn through the weekend BTS so flawlessly, it felt perfect. read more

Where do I start? I'm not even sure how I came across Amy, but am so lucky that I did. I had a fusion Hindu-Christian ceremony, and could not have pulled off the event without her. Just a few words to describe her: Professional, Unbelievably Organized, Calming (and brides do need someone that lets them know everything will be ok) Persistent in dealings with the venue and other vendors, and her Follow-Up is impeccable down to every spreadsheet and document she provided. She did all of this while maintaining her pleasant demeanor and shared her abundance of knowledge in wedding planning and events...well, I can go on and on, but to say Amy was a great addition to my vendors would be an understatement. She went above and beyond what I expected and handled every situation with finesse. Both families as well as myself and my groom were so happy with her and will recommend her to others without hesitation. She made the days up to the wedding run smoothly and the grand event go on without any hiccups. Mili does know a little about what she is doing. However there are some huge errors she made at oour wedding. I mean I could go on and on. She does everything you ask for, however, once there is a problem, she makes you deal with them. She has no neogation skills, and only wants to keep her vendors happy so that she doesn't look like the bad guy and can get more business out of them She did not save us any money. Even though Mili will tell you she doesn't get a kick back from the vendors she deals with, it's not true. She does get a cut and doesn't mind giving you the extra cost., The only reason I know this, is because Harvard Photographers gave her a thank you card (from which she shows you to get you sign), but what she doesn't know it says something to the effect of "thanks for recommending us, please find your check enclosed". Don't quote me, but it's true. The other way I know this, is that Mili got us a quote from a food vendor for $30 a person and turns out when we called on our own, they were only charging $25. Getting married is supposed to be the best day of your life... Mili, Neema and the rest of the Planning Elegance team made sure that was the case! Months after our wedding, we continue to appreciate all the hard work Mili and her team put into our special day. My family really trusts Mili, and my wedding was the second wedding we worked with her on. She had also planned my sister's wedding three years prior. My sister's wedding ran on-time (that is very hard for a big fat Indian wedding), featured both a Hindu and a Christian ceremony in the same day, and was beautiful. Mili also got to really know my parents (which helps when you and your parents are not on the same page and you need a mediator). It was a total no-brainer for me to work with Mili again. Like my sister, I was based out of NYC and needed to plan the wedding in California. I had a limited number of trips I could take to LA before my wedding day. I knew Mili would make it happen! My wedding was a bit more complicated than my sister's wedding to plan because it took place at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. While the space is beautiful, it is also a nightmare to plan a wedding at - you have to bring in everything from the tables and chairs, the dance floor, projectors, linens, down to the individual fork. Our reception was literally in a barn house. Furthermore, my family was super particular about making sure there was always music, food and some kind of entertainment going on for the guests. Mili was very detail-oriented and took great pains to make sure that every detail was covered. She scheduled all my meetings with the vendors (many times joining the calls to ensure the right topics were covered), she made herself available to me at all times (which I greatly appreciated), and she kept me on schedule with all my vendor payments and project plans. During the wedding day, even through some last minute snafus, Mili and her team worked swiftly to solve any issues on the spot. I was super relaxed and was able to sit back and enjoy the day while Mili and team ran the show. It was great! Mili also is super creative. I knew I wanted a wedding that reflected the personalities of both my husband and me. Through the creative planning process with the décor vendors and our DJ, Mili contributed awesome ideas that added extra flair to our event. To this day, my guests remember the details. Lastly, Mili was very professional about everything. Planning a wedding can involve liaising with different personalities and egos, and Mili was able to communicate effectively and clearly across the many vendors and family members involved. Mili added a lot of objectivity to some of the most passionate discussions around the wedding - she can definitely take the heat! I highly recommend the Planning Elegance team for anyone looking to plan an event. Mili's team knows what they are doing, they know the right people, and they will make your event very memorable. I was referred to Amy by a friend, and am ever so grateful to have found her. I decided I needed a coordinator less than one month before my wedding, and Amy was able and willing to be flexible with my timeline, budget and various needs. From start to finish, she was great to work with. Her professionalism impressed me from the get go, as she responded to my online inquire almost immediately and had a final contract available within just days. She helped me tie a major loose end - less than one month before the wedding I didn't have a florist I was happy with; Amy found one with a beautiful portfolio and a creative mind. In the days leading up to the wedding, it comforted me wonders to know I was working with somebody who knew weddings so well. We had a mixed Scottish-Pakistani wedding, with a mix of guests from different backgrounds and faiths. Mili and her team at Planning Elegance did a beyond amazing job with our wedding!! We decided to get the larger package, so we could get her help and advice from day one, and it was well worth it. Right from the beginning, she helped us create a timeline to help us budget our time and resources; we always knew what was supposed to be happening and when. From helping us find vendors and a venue that fit our needs, to answering all of our questions along the way, she was always there to help, even with so much time before the wedding. My husband and I worked with Mili for our wedding this past July and don't have enough words to express what a wonderful job she did. She did a great job of helping us with whatever we needed help with and gave us her insight and recommendations of vendors even if she wasn't responsible for something. We got the month-of coordination package from Planning Elegance for our garba, wedding, and reception and we were very happy with their services. Mili and Sara were amazing - they were organized, professional, and ensured that everything went off without a hitch. Even when we were interviewing coordinators, Mili and her team stood apart - she came prepared to the meeting, showed us concrete examples of tools they had used for other weddings, and took the time to learn about our event and goals. We had quite a big wedding (800+) and we were using a non-traditional venue so there were a lot of small and big details to keep track of and throughout the two days, Mili, Sara and the Planning Elegance Team made sure we didn't have to worry about anything. My family and I had spent a lot of time figuring out many of those details in advance and it meant a lot to me that their team paid close attention to each of those details. As my brother noted in his review, we had some issues with the venue just a few weeks prior to the wedding and Mili and Sara were very flexible and professional in addressing those issues with us. Even though we only had one face to face meeting in our contract, they made another trip out to sit down with us and the venue. Mili and Sara were so organized, attentive, responsive, and professional throughout the weekend - they determined what was needed and got the job done. By taking care of all the coordination, they allowed our family to enjoy the events without any stress and we definitely would not have been able to that without their help. This review is long overdue! We want to thank Mili and her staff for all the amazing work that they did for our wedding. We only had about 6 months to plan our wedding from start to finish and we are so glad that we hired Planning elegance. Mili is one of the most organized individuals I have ever met! She is extremely professional and helped us remain calm through out the process. We also just moved to the area less than a year ago, so we didn't really know a lot of vendors and she helped us find the best possible vendors in each category. Our guests really enjoyed the wedding and everyone was impressed by how well organized the wedding events were. I can honestly say that everything went accordingly as planned and I can't think of anything that could have been different on the wedding day.
