One of the best decisions we made was working with Meghan and her team from Green Apple Event Co.! It's overwhelming trying a coordinator since it's probably the most important decision in planning your day and other than reviews there is very little to go off of. This review is 100% honest. We got married at The Loft on Pine a few weeks ago, and if anyone is getting married there you NEED to work with Green Apple! She has a lot of experience with the venue, she used to work there, and knows all the little details and rules. We chose their Simply Coordination Services, and along with our two helpful in-person meetings, Meghan and her team were easy to reach by phone and email with any questions or needs. I never felt like I was inconveniencing them with questions or concerns, and everyone was quick to respond. She also gave great suggestions and advice on how to set up our day. The Loft on Pine's standard hours given for a wedding is 5 hours, and I was nervous that we wouldn't have a lot of time for dancing, which was super important for me. Also, she gave the excellent recommendation of hiring DartDJ. They are incredible! At the rehearsal, Meghan was super patient and made it quick and fun. My husband is one of 7 and we had about 8 little ones in our wedding, so you can only imagine how hectic it could have been. She also helped us store our own decor on site. The day of couldn't have gone better! I honestly can't recall anything going wrong, and if it did Meghan handled it so none of us were aware. Even my father, who has pretty high expectations and is the first to point out when things feel like they're dragging, was so impressed with the flow of the wedding and reception. Everything was seamless. Not only did it go smoothly, we had more than enough time to dance! My family, husband, and I continue to sing Meghan's praises, and can confidently say that if we did it all over again...we would do it exactly the same. Our main goal was to find a planner that would be collaborative and creative; someone who would guide us with their expertise, but work with us to help bring our ideas to life. Meghan was that brilliant and creative mind to engineer our dream wedding. Meghan and her team are very experienced and it is evident in their work. They helped us stay on top of so many small details that we would have otherwise overlooked or not been aware of at all. She is familiar with all of the modern and current styles in the industry, from signage to florals, but her vision goes so far beyond delivering you an "on trend" wedding. She incorporates so much of the personality and creative tastes of the couples she works with, and this was very apparent in our finished product. We worked with Meghan on a full-planning service and she was by our side from a week after our engagement all the way until the dance floor cleared on our wedding night. The full planning was a dream, as she helped us navigate everything including vendor visits, budget planning, contract review, catering tastings, and design elements among other countless details; she goes beyond just the business aspect of wedding planning, she was tuned in to our personal experiences during the entire process, including our family dynamics, guest list drama and sometimes just serving as someone we could vent to about the emotions that come along with planning. She was an absolute dream to work with. Day-of coordination went off without a hitch. With a guest count of over 250 people, an offsite church ceremony, 2 venue spaces to set up between cocktail hour and the dining/dancing, navigating downtown LA traffic, and coordinating with over a dozen vendors, this was a hectic day. Meghan and her team pulled everything off FLAWLESSLY. I cannot stress enough how organized and timely everything went; as the bride and groom, we had absolutely no stress or worry about things being in place or on time. She was graceful in handling any family situations that came up, tended to our needs and timelines, and was just so pleasant with our family and friends. My daughter found Meghan's company and we couldn't have been more thrilled. She created a vision of what my daughter wanted. It came out just perfectly. She was there every step of the way. We could not have done this wedding with out her company. She had all the contacts, she held our hands when it got a little crazy ( we had never done this before). She just knew how to time everything and she had some of the best vendors to help us. We had the wedding at an estate in Malibu- we had to bring everything in. It was an exhausting day but we always knew we could turn to Meghan for help. When my other daughter gets married- I am going to use her company. It really sucks to write this because I REALLY wanted to work with this team. I have been following them on Instagram for a while now, and their style looks flawless and fun. It definitely fit what I wanted when it came to my wedding. This review isn't based on their services, because I never even got a chance to use them. Let me start off by saying that I'm so glad so many other brides had such great experiences with Green Apple, I was truly hoping to be one of them. I reached out for the first time in early February of this year through their site, a few weeks went by and I didn't hear back. So I reached once more through their contact page on the site and I waited. Meanwhile, other companies are getting back to me within minutes. After about 2 weeks of not hearing back I submitted the form with a different email, thinking maybe it wasn't going through with that one. This time I decided to wait a month, because who knows maybe they're busy and I don't want to be super pushy. After not hearing back for a month I emailed them directly at hello@greenappleevent.com, because I thought maybe the contact form on their site wasn't working. I gave it another 3 weeks to hear back, and nothing.. at that point I decided to try just one more time, maybe I was entering the email wrong? So I emailed Meghan at the email she has on her page: meghan@greenappleevent.com. I let her know that this was my fifth attempt at reaching out, that I loved their style and it was exactly what I wanted, but nothing. It is now April and I still haven't heard back, not even in my spam folder. Yet, I'm still seeing them post stories and upload photos on their Instagram. I do know that one of them is planning their own wedding now, but if for any reason they can't take on any new clients at least set an automated response saying so, don't just ignore your potential clients until they go away. Anyway, to whomever stuck that out and read through my whole review, I truly hope your experience is different. Because is sucks feeling like you're being ignored. Using Green Apple Event was probably the best decision I made during the entire wedding planning process. I met with them maaaaybe 9 months in advance, with nothing but a few pintrest pictures saved.... and they created the wedding of my dreams. I loved that I could trust them when it came to picking vendors. That can be such an overwhelming process. You could easily spend days researching florists, officiants, djs, etc. I simply told them what I envisioned, and they would send over a handful of options in line with that vibe, along with the quotes they already had requested. Plus they would confirm they were available for that date already so we weren't wasting everyone's time. Meghan and the Green Apple team did such a great job planning our April wedding and made sure that our day went smoothly. They were so knowledgeable, sweet and really fun to interact with. Being a "type A" personality, I was a little worried at first because they were a little slow to email (probably because they're so busy and everyone wants to work with them...and rightfully so!), but when it came closer to my day they really put everything together beautifully and when the big day arrived I was fully confident they would execute everything. In addition to the coordination package, I had the design package as well and thought they did such a great job bringing my vision to life. I had a solid understanding of what I wanted in the first place but they took it to the next level and were able to provide me with guidance to make it a reality. It's hard to capture my appreciation towards Meghan and Green Apple Event Co. in a quick review, but I will try my best. From the very beginning of the planning process, Meghan was upfront and honest with me, recommending a less expensive package, because I already had the largest vendors booked. But that didn't stop her from designing a gorgeous event and making sure that every inch of the ceremony and reception venue looked 110%. I will admit there were a few issues on the day of (for ex: my grandmother's table was placed in the wrong location), but Meghan's team quickly rectified the situation and her table was placed in the front where it belonged. I could not have found someone more experienced - she knew my venue (Serra Plaza) like the back of her hand. She provided gorgeous textiles and glassware for our sweetheart table and brought other little items that elevated the décor of the entire event. All my guests were so impressed with the flow of the evening and how beautifully everything was executed. It is hard to convey just how wonderful they were from our very first meeting to the end of our reception, but here is an example. To stay within budget, I used a lot of my own decor elements. The day of the wedding, I felt completely disorganized. I was overwhelmed with everything that I had to do, and I delegated some last minute tasks to family and friends. My family dropped off my boxes of decor, succulents, and bud vases at the venue in the afternoon, which was later than I had planned. I was worried about everything being set up in time. I was referred to Green Apple by another vendor earlier this year, and I reached out through their website in mid-March. A week went by and I did not receive a response. As other vendors I contacted were typically responding within 2 days, I thought maybe my message hadn't gone through, so I reached out again. They never bothered to get back to me until yesterday... 3 months later! The follow-up email stated that they are not taking new clients on because they are "busy planning one of our own's wedding and it wouldn't be fair to you."
