Although parking is pretty scarce in this area, I was able to park nearby your residential street. The store is beautiful inside. Plants are all well kept and the art on the walls are vivid and gorgeous. They have an incredible selection! I don't have a lot of knowledge for plants, most of my plants in the past were purchased at farmers market or swap meet. I paid slightly under $70 for two plants. I thought that was expensive. I would still come back here for another plant and I would definitely recommend coming here, with the large selection of plants they have.

The reason why - and I have to point this out because the store is named Rooted - is most of the neon pothos did not look too healthy aside from one plant in a 6" pot (larger than what I was looking for). In fact, many of the plants were rather middling, with soil looking dry when most inventory are tropical houseplants. Was it the heat at the time I visited or negligence? I'm not sure, but even with seemingly fair prices as plant shops go (4" philodendron Brazil was $12), it's harder to buy a plant that looks sickly. In addition to plants, Rooted also carries housewares and refills for shampoo, body wash, etc. I can't speak to the prices because I have a similar store within walking distance that I typically bring my dispensers to.

The photo I attached is NOT from Scarlet Flowers but from Minted Rose Box which was my former florist but now retired who always created the most beautiful arrangements at a very good price. I asked for something like this with lots of pink and dark pinks. I wished I had taken a photo of the other arrangement, I regret that I didn't. But, my sister was not happy with it. And for the price, it was definitely not what I was hoping for. Then realizing later, it didn't look NOWHERE near what the photo looks like. My sister told me to get my money back. The other wrapped bouquet was worse than the box. Not only was it very small, but it looked nothing like the arrangement that is advertised on their website. It looked sparse and the color palette was nothing compared to the lavendar constellation. It was my mistake for coming here. I wanted to find a go to florist that can mimic the arrangement I wanted. It wasn't even close, not even a little. I am still very upset that the company was only offering a 20% discount on my next purchase. I have never been so disappointed in a florist such as this one. read more

To me, this still reflects poorly on the business and I would not recommend placing orders for delivery through them. Here's the situation: I placed my order through fromyouflowers.com and they arranged my order using Ary's Flowers. Ary's made the initial delivery attempt on time but the recipient was not home. I spoke to the person trying to make the delivery and they did their best to try to reach someone through the locked gate. They knocked repeatedly and yelled for someone but were unsuccessful. I was on the phone with them while they did this and I appreciated all the effort that was made up until that point. They told me I could pay a fee for redelivery and that they would text me the shop's information so I could arrange it. That never happened. I looked up the number they called from and found that it was linked to Ary's Flowers. I made repeated attempts to contact the shop but nobody ever answered, or it went straight to voicemail. I called fromyouflowers and they assured me they sent a message to the shop for redelivery and it would be delivered the next day. That never happened. I called again the following day and again they reassured me it would be delivered. That never happened. I called again a 3rd day, they confirmed it would be delivered and THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I had to ask the recipient to stay home to wait for the delivery for 3 days for nothing! Keep in mind, this arrangement came with a card so they knew they were sympathy flowers. I understand they made the initial delivery attempt, but just because it was unsuccessful once, doesn't mean the order is now disregarded and void. Especially when you spoke to me and knew I wanted to arrange a redelivery. You wasted maybe 1-2 hours of time creating the arrangement and trying to deliver (they're located about 10 minutes from the recipient) while inconveniencing the recipient and myself for 3 days! So unprofessional to not follow up and let someone know if you did not plan to complete the order. I tried to request that they hold the flowers at the shop for pick up but fromyouflowers said it was not allowed. Had Ary's flowers answered the phone, this could have been arranged directly. Had they let fromyouflowers know they didn't plan to redeliver, the recipient wouldn't have wasted 3 days waiting for them! Terrible customer service! At the end, fromyouflowers tried to offer a 20% refund and redelivery to which I said hell no. I cancelled the order and had to apologize to my grieving friend. 5 minutes is all it would've taken to fix this. Follow up and follow through! Do better.
