    Wheeew 100th review and it goes toooo THIS IS THE DAY Liz gets it done!! With a smile of course! I've worked with her on a couple of events, from 1st birthdays to large weddings. I bring the sweet treats and she displays them beautifully! You won't regret having Liz plan your event. She's very personable, professional and easy to work with. Communication is key in any relationship... ;) that holds true with event planners too! As a vendor, she makes sure all your questions are answered and that everyone is on cue with the timeline. All the events were very well organized and gorgeous!! You won't regret having her as your planner!

Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." Not to mention, I literally and honestly don't know how I could have enjoyed my wedding without Heather. Her and her assistant, Courtney, handled E V E R Y T H I N G on the day of our wedding at the Estate on Second and then some. If there was any sort of problem, she had the solution. If we needed a drink, she was there with mine and my husband's signature cocktails. If I was losing track of time, she made sure to gently push me along. She truly handled everything so that me and my husband could just have FUN and for that I am truly grateful.

I-Jou is truly amazing at what she does and helped bring our vision to life. She is incredibly thoughtful and made sure we were well taken care of every step of the way. During our welcome photos, we were sweating, and she continuously checked in on us, bringing water and drinks and even saving appetizers from cocktail hour while we were busy with photos. When we were at our sweetheart table, she went to grab us drinks from the bar and even brought us desserts from our dessert bar! I-Jou knew the right questions to ask and overall we felt well supported throughout the whole wedding planning process up until the end of our wedding day. Because of her, I was able to truly be present and enjoy my wedding day without a single ounce of stress! Which is very rare for me because I am an overthinker and stress over the little things. We had some pretty unconventional requests, and she never hesitated to support us. We genuinely felt heard and cared for the entire time. Queenie kept everything on track with structured meetings, a shared Google Drive, spreadsheets, checklists, and timelines that even we (as Type A people) found incredibly helpful. She was always available to answer questions or provide updates, be it by text, phone, or email. As the big day got closer and things became busier for us, Queenie stepped in even more to coordinate with vendors, troubleshoot logistical issues (like creatively solving our catering parking situation with a carpool plan!), and make sure everything was good to go. Though my husband and I went into every prep meeting feeling a little chaotic, we always came away with clarity and renewed excitement! The day of is where both Queenie and Norm really shined. Norm was a master at reading the room and keeping the music and energy lively. His attention to detail with his set up ensured everything worked smoothly. Queenie continued to shine and amaze as the night went on. Even with multiple obstacles and even some points of tension throughout the night, she went out of her way to smooth things over and keep the show going. We don't know how she did it with the random things popping up interrupting our detailed timeline, but we are so grateful to her ensuring we got every experience we wanted for our special day. The only caveat to that is we had to sacrifice a little of our dance time. We know Norm would've kept that party going late into the night if we were given the chance. After sending them a message, I received a reply the very next day, and we quickly scheduled a video call. Mandy gave me a very professional first impression, asking me many questions I had never even thought about. Since my husband and I are both people who dislike hassle and lack creative ideas, we quickly decided to entrust Mandy with the entire wedding design and planning. Linsey was assigned as our wedding coordinator through the vendor package at the venue and it was truly the stars aligning rather than luck. Linsey did an incredible job. She took time ahead of the event to get to know us, the other big players(photographers, DJ, our wedding party) which resulted in everything going perfectly throughout the evening. So many of our guests have told us it is the best wedding they have ever been to, and a lot of that credit is due to Linsey. She thought of literally everything. Her ability to ensure us as the bride and groom were having the best time ever while still keeping everything running like a well oiled machine is something I can't wrap my head around. She is a natural in this space and has very much found her calling. Maybe Leah was secretly there too. If we had the opportunity to start over, I would not hesitate to get the full wedding coordination services of the Double Knot Twins. Our day would surely have been even more magical with their support through the entire process. No matter what level of coordination you need, Linsey and Leah should be your first choice. Our wedding at Luminarias in Monterey Park had over 280 guests plus live music, and we couldn't figure out how to make the best use of the space, but they had it completely under control. They went above and beyond on the wedding day: calming my nerves when hair and makeup ran late, making sure we had an uninterrupted dinner together, and even packing up all the extras for family to take home.
