WOW - where do I start? I've been waiting to give Lisa my review until I could post my wedding photos too, but believe me -- I have not stopped thinking about what magic she created for my wedding day! Let me say first that I was such a scrappy DIY bride, so I was really looking for a day-of coordinator I could trust. I did many calls with other coordinators and I was looking out for folx who really pressure you to have a cookie cutter wedding and play into the wedding industry. Lisa was not like that at all, she felt like one of my friends and was totally on board with working with the blank canvas of my venue. She was so easy to work with and made me feel really confident the day-of. She was hands down the best money spent from all my vendors at my wedding. Examples of Lisa's magic: - She was a serious partner in crime! I come from a background of event planning myself, so I recognized that I was a bit of a hyper detailed and logistically obsessed bride. I literally had made my production schedule before I had even met with her! This type of thing would normally irritate the hell out of an event coordinator, but honestly Lisa just felt like someone who was my partner. She saw what I had created and helped me build off of what I got started and she just made me feel like I wasn't in it alone anymore. - She would go above and beyond! We had a mix-up with our cocktail hour where our caterer came in and left some of the food on the side where it wasn't easily found. Lisa and her assistant jumped in immediately once she saw the need. She straight up started serving our hor d'orves to all of our guests so that the food we spent good money on wouldn't be hidden in the corner. - She handled extra coordination with ease! We had a mariachi parade and a shuttle coming in and out of our venue. She was able to coordinate all of this seamlessly with her assistant. I was worried about the coordination of our shuttle in particular- and without a single worry my guests were coming in and speaking so highly of the amazing coordination of the entire day. These are just a few examples of how amazing Lisa is. So do yourself a favor and give her a call for your special day. An online review could never fully capture the grace and professionalism Lisa brought to the wedding of two of my best friends. This wedding was delayed and changed several times due to the lingering effects of COVID, and with each audible called, Lisa was not only able to adapt, but to flow with the change, keeping the Bride & Groom's wishes in mind, offering calm and supportive ideas throughout the process to ensure their dream wedding came true. Lisa offered attentive communication to her clients and the guests of a wedding, while utilizing a kind but firm approach to vendors, suppliers, and other associates in order to create the most beautiful moments to be cherished by the wedding party and the guests. The day of the wedding could not have gone more smooth. The Bride & Groom, the wedding party, the guests, were all cared for and treated with respect and courtesy. There was never any worry, about anything because "We got Lisa!" The day of ceremony breakfast, the pre wedding details of prep, guest management, and support for anything requested by/for the Bride & Groom, the ceremony, the dinner after, and the night time celebration could not have been more beautiful, serene, or better executed. Lisa also found ways to take initiative and offer thoughtful gifts or words to those in the wedding party. The last piece I need to share, is Lisa treated everyone with kindness and respect. The staff at the venue was eager and willing to help with any items requested, the servers at various restaurants could not have offered any better service.. Lisa has an incredible gift to love others up, which they in turn pass along to those they serve. Lisa is organized, more then capable, professional, an attentive listener, and will become family after working with her on YOUR wedding or event. Words can truly not express my gratitude for Lisa. Naturally, I'm a pretty good planner, but when it came to the wedding planning process I was pretty clueless. I started out interviewing wedding planners. Out of all of them, Lisa was hands down my favorite. I remember explaining to my husband instantly- she was the one and we needed to book her ASAP. Looking back at all we went through (Covid) Lisa was the best thing that ever happened to me. Below are some reasons why: Organized- Lisa makes it her #1 duty to stay organized. She kept all notes in one folder, sent us cal reminders on deadlines, never missed a beat and was always ready, organized & prepared. Connections- With all of the positive connections she has developed with vendors in the industry she was able to get us great deals on DJ, Photographer & flowers. Vision- Lisa completely understands individual couples visions and her portfolio is an example of this. In planning 3 (yes, 3- Covid) weddings, she adjusted the vision to each setting/time of day/vibe accordingly. Thoughtful- Those little things you see in the movies and never for a second think that's real life? Yeah, she will make it happen. *jLO wedding planner vibes* Kind- With all of the stress & pressure Lisa maintained a nothing but kind attitude. She rolled with the punches and made sure no one was stressed. Can make anything happen- after so many cancellations and doing away with things, 3 days before our wedding I asked Lisa if there was any way we could get a string quartet (yikes, I'm a nightmare) not only did Lisa make it happen, they were playing our songs (walk down the aisle, first dance, etc) that we were no longer having due to simplified Covid wedding. All and all, I can't say enough good things about Lisa as a wedding planner. Absolutely the best. Lisa is so organized and professional, she made my both sisters wedding go off with out a hitch. My older sister had a back yard wedding, and it looked like it came out of a magazine, looking like an expensive venue. My younger sister had her wedding at a beautiful location by the beach. It goes to show that she can handle anything small to big. She was also the biggest help with everything in between as well. Lisa was the best wedding planner I could have asked for. I am an absolute Karen; I fully admit it. She knew exactly how to deal with me being an uptight control-freak, was prepared with the exact necessary to stave off every panic attack for the year we were planning, and was always one step ahead of my neuroses. It was MAGICAL. She reminded us of all the little things we kept forgetting about and all the things we never even realized we needed to think about, but she also knew to take care of a million little things without ever bothering us about the minutia and had a solid "These things have been taken care of" approach, rather than coming with nonstop demands about things we needed to take care of. The event itself went off without a hitch thanks to her and her team's marathon efforts, and she really did help us have the best day we could ever have hoped for. Also, I spent months telling her I didn't want a wedding cake because it was the wake of COVID, and she rightfully ignored me and secretly ordered a BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS cake. We were forced to cancel not one but two weddings. Lisa was there each step along the way and helped my wife plan each wedding. We finalized our third wedding to be at the Ritz is Santa Barbara and by the start of the wedding it looked like she had the entire Ritz staff happily working for her! My Calimigos Ranch bougie wedding dreams came true because of Lisa and her team. Lisa literally made my vision a reality and helped me have the most perfect day! She was very familiar with my shady but beautiful venue ( ie she told me what things to get in writing in my contract and what the venue would nickle/dime me for so I knew what to expect). She also helped me find the perfect "garden flowers" for my very particular flower arrangements (and kept me in the loop with my florist's plans). Her connections are also just the best.
