IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT ELOPING THIS IS THE PLACE TO DO IT. My husband and I, 10/10 recommend everything Elope Long Beach. After 12 years together, my husband and I decided we wanted to tie the knot sooner than later, but we also wanted it to be special. Elope Long Beach did more than what we expected. We wanted a private, intimate, whimsical, enchanted, stress free wedding moment with our immediate family...Elope Long Beach did just that! They were able to set up our dream elopement in a month. Joshua was beyond exceptional with his customer service, communication, and support before the event. He was extremely flexible with our meetings to discuss what we wanted for that day and everything that was asked for was not only accomplished but was turned into a dream of a day! The before day coordination was stress free, seamless, and more than what we could have asked for. Joshua was also our officiant that day and he truly took the time to get to know us and walk us through the process to make our ceremony unique and special. The day off our wedding we did not have to worry about ANYTHING!!! We brought a couple decorations of our own such as photos and memoranda, they set up everything. From flowers to an enchanted, whimsical theme and set up, they did it all without us having to worry about a thing!!! AND LETS ALSO TALK ABOUT OUR PHOTOS AND VIDEO. THEY ARE BREATHTAKING. 100/100 would recommend F/8 studios, Michael, for any of your special events. He seamlessly and perfectly captured the most important moments of our lives, surrounded by our family. He made us feel comfortable and went above and beyond with the photos and videos taken. He went as far as to give us a sneak peak of photos the same day (picture below). We received all photos and video the next day. They are all IMMACULATE. We were all speechless after seeing the photos. Such a delight and honor to have Michael capture this moment. After hearing several horror stories of wedding days and months of planning we were so happy we made the choice of eloping, but most importantly choosing Elope Long Beach for our special day. We could have not asked for and ever more PERFECT day. THANK YOU ALL SOO MUCH. -Juan and Iliana Bustos Wedding Ceremony 10/26/2022

Ceremony

We had a lot of fun at our ceremony with the Farmers. They make a great team and we were able to get all of the necessities done with a few guests for our wedding, which was perfect. It was quick, we got great photos, and the Farmers were great hosts.

Ceremony location with included alter and chairs, the flowers were mine.

If I could sum it up, "you get what you paid for" and as for photography, go over EVERYTHING and leave nothing out or you'll regret it My husband and I decided to do the ceremony only elopement package which included the 1 hour photography, the officiant, backyard area, and wedding coordinator. It also included water for guests, chairs with some decor for alter but no flowers, and speakers for music. So yes, it seems a lot packed into one flat price. You could bring extra decor which I did since it was rather plain. I chose this place 1 month before my wedding date, so it was definitely last minute booking and what I feel is normal for a quick "elopement". They said they would take care of everything; as in reach out and it would be stress-free. It was quite the opposite. Pros: 1. Everyone is nice and friendly 2. The team is 3 people: coordinator, photographer, officiant/florist 3. They will help hang extra decor that you may have and gather them all back for you before you leave 4. Photos given were nice, clear, and beautiful for what was shot on the day 5. Response for questions by email were timely 6. Everything went well Cons: 1. Punctuality & Followups: link given with all info was not working for 2-3 days and I had to call to find out my coordinator was on vacation. Note: she still emailed me on her first day of her vacation trying to help but I had to call the studio and get someone else to help me on my own. Per their contract, my initial consultation needed to be done ASAP (it was done after a week), my timeline and info to be given 2 weeks out (it was done days before). I kept worrying if I had to reach out to them rather them notifying me. 2. Photography: this was the biggest factor of my whole review & the photos on their website looked amazing and the reason why I chose this location in the first place. I thought it would be simple understanding for certain photos to be taken but in this case it was not, my outcome was disappointing. a) my first name is spelled incorrectly on their photo link site they gave me, so embarrassing to have friends and family members point that out to me b) my 3rd groomsmen was cut off on EVERY photo taken, not one photo I had with all 3 groomsmen with groom or even just the 3 standing up at the alter beside the groom- they rather give me photos of the officiant, groom and 2 groomsmen rather than include all 3 groomsmen - it's like my 3rd groomsmen didn't exist unless requested in group photos which luckily I did! c) my ONLY photo of my bridesmaids and groomsmen has 2 people looking away from camera or eyes blinked, only 1 photo was taken and this was it, not even multiple photos to avoid this - I even ask photographer several times to make sure we weren't blinking and he lied or just didn't care d) photos turnaround time was 2 days - this can be a good or a bad thing but most of my photos were based on regular outdoor lighting with a couple black & white pics and little touch ups I really wanted some photos of the audience and their reactions but didn't get any. I was told to make a list of what people I wanted photos with and they only went by this list- who knew you have to literally write down in details what additional photos you want. You'd think the whole groomsmen party and not partial photo be taken, or even photos of the audience, but no I didn't get any. I also had to ask for a photo of my dress before worn so you literally had to ask for what photos you want or you get what they give you - but from ceremony alone I did get photos of each groomsmen/bridesmaid pair down the aisle, the whole side of my bridal party at standing at alter, my father walking me down, and group photos I listed Again, I didn't expect much since this was more than what I initially planned but gosh.. It was however a nice quick ceremony (25 min) with some great shots and friendly service. Overall the most disappointing was the photography since I got partial group members and people looking away, it's clear that its just photo taking and not moments captured. That was my wedding ceremony. Luckily my reception photographer got all the photos I wanted and more without me having to say anything at all, hence my critical review and comparison. Thank you for your time.

Truly a hidden gem on the border of California Heights and Bixby Knolls! The studio is beautiful, the process from our inquiry to our big day was easy, and the team we worked with was so professional and nice! Plus, the photos and video they put together for us (an add on to our package) was truly amazing!

If you want to re-live your big day over and over again years later, James is your guy! My wife and I had never done a professional photoshoot. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. After interviewing 5 different photographers, we knew from our first conversation that James was the one. He is incredibly friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. We agreed to do an engagement session, 1 location for 90mins to see if we'd be comfortable working with James. It couldn't have gone better. Initially, we were a bit stiff, but James gave us tips on how to act naturally, suggested poses and hand positions that made us feel and look relaxed. The time flew by and we actually ended up going to a second location with a wardrobe change. Overall, it was about 2 hours. James did not mind at all. In fact, he probably could've gone longer if the sun hadn't set on us! Our photos were edited and received in less than 2 weeks! James was kind enough to print a large poster and sign that shipped to our house in just a few days. He price matched any package/prints from other photographers. Having gone through our engagement session seamlessly, we hired James to shoot our wedding as well. He and an assistant were on site for 10 hours, tending to our every need and keeping us on our timeline. After our planned family/wedding party photos, we hardly even noticed them working as we proceeded with wedding events. After the wedding, we received many compliments on how great James was and several guests asked for his contact information. Within a couple of days, we received a preview of about 20 photos highlighting our big day. We were thrilled! Every important moment was captured so elegantly! The full magazine of photos was available for download in about 1 month. James then worked with us to print a high quality photo book for our coffee table. You can't go wrong with James--his high quality work and work ethic speak for themselves. There is no substitute for how easy and stress free he made us feel, so that we could truly enjoy ourselves knowing that he would capture every single moment candidly. Do not hesitate to hire James, it will be the best decision you will ever make.

An unforgettable experience captured perfectly -- thank you, James!…read more I had the honor of graduating from both LACC and UCLA Extension, and I'm so grateful that James was there to capture every important moment. From our first communication, he was extremely professional, flexible, and kind, always making sure he understood what I wanted and adapting to each location, timeline, and change with ease. He photographed both ceremonies with incredible attention to detail -- from candid moments of me with my husband, family, and friends, to emotional highlights like walking across the stage, and even the quiet, heartfelt moments in between. His eye for storytelling brought every part of the day to life. James made everyone feel comfortable, and his warm presence truly added to the celebration. He treated both graduations with care and dedication, and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer to help preserve these milestones. If you're looking for someone reliable, talented, and genuinely passionate about their work -- James is the one. Thank you again for capturing these beautiful memories that my loved ones and I will treasure forever!

It was all thanks to Megan and Marni and the whole So Smitten team. They are incredible. When we first met with So Smitten, Megan walked us through a massive planning document that addressed every component of a wedding. There were so many little things that I would never think about. Their organization blew me out of the water, I immediately knew the So Smitten team would be a great match for us. When we started planning, my wife and I had a very abstract idea of what we wanted. Megan and Marni took our idea and ran with it. They took our really rough vision and perfected it. It was amazing to see the plan evolve during our regular zoom calls. We were also shocked to see that they took notes on EVERYTHING! There were so many little things we mentioned once and forgot about that, months later, found their way into the plan. They also kept us on track through the whole process. They would make a to do list for us at the end of every meeting of what we we need to do and when we need to do it by. That really removed a lot of stress from our lives. The So Smitten team has so many connections for: Photographers, Videographers, DJs, Bands, Flowers, Design, Rentals, everything you need. They made it really easy compare vendors and find the ones that we liked to work with. Later, when all our vendors were trying to check in with us in the weeks leading to the wedding, Megan and Marni took on a bunch of the meetings and contract stuff for us. That removed so much of our stress and let us we could worry about getting our family and friends to the event. Letting them take on all the contracts and negotiations also ended up helping us save about 3-4x the amount we paid So Smitten by finding different alternatives for power, DJs, etc. Leading into the wedding everyone told me to just relax WHEN things go wrong and let the planners and coordinators handle it. Megan and her team were so on top of things that we didn't even notice any issues coming up. My wife and I kept joking "Ok, when is this big issue going to finally arise?" It never really did. At least not to our knowledge. Megan, Marni and the So Smitten team are incredible. We are recommending them to everyone. They took out ALL the stress from wedding planning. I really have no idea how I would have handled it if we didn't find So Smitten!

We were initially drawn to So Smitten because every wedding they coordinated was so beautiful and full of personality, and that was true - but what we couldn't see was how much work went on behind the scenes. Not going to lie, we had some real drama this year, and our coordinator Megan became our rock: guiding us with her expertise, calm, and humor. She always made herself so available throughout the process, be it through recommendations or negotiations or bridal anxieties. I'm worried that if I keep going on you won't read this whole thing, so I'm going to say maybe the best thing about hiring So Smitten: we had so many people say that we had a perfect wedding, and not only do I truly agree, but I also know that would not have been possible without Megan, Marni, Melanie and the team. Could not recommend them enough.

This is going to be a semi long review but trust us, it's worth the read. If there was a rating…read morescale higher than 5 stars it would be 10+! We were planning our destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico and due to some last minute changes, we needed a photographer within 2 months of the event. We interviewed quite a few photographers and only one really stood out. Two Fourteen is run by an amazing couple (Virath and Krizelle) and they had an equally awesome second photographer with them (Esther). They offered us a great 10 hour coverage package which included up to 2 hours of non-wedding activities, versatility in flying out, an extra photographer, sneak peek photos within 2 days and so much more. If you want timeless, candid, light / airy, elegant, professional and crispy photos :), look no further. With their beautiful photography as well as their welcoming / fun personality, contagious smiles, and sheer enthusiasm, it made for an easy choice. We felt comfortable and confident as they created timelines, schedules, meetings and provided constant updates. They went above and beyond to accommodate and even got down on the dance floor after a couple of drinks ;). They are some of the most passionate people we have ever seen work: they glow with enthusiasm, are fun, personable and professional. Virath shines with his passion and love for photography, Krizelle is a gem who is clear and organized and Esther is fun, concise and meticulous. If you want "choreographed" photos... easy-peasy. If you want candid shots... it's covered. If you need flat lays or accents... done. If you have concerns on timelines, don't worry, they've already built in buffers. They excelled in every aspect and made sure to capture the magic for our very special day. Some specific details that we appreciated: 1. They were proactive and spent time introducing themselves to our vendors and coordinating with them ahead of the wedding. 2. Two Fourteen also does videography, so they knew how to work with the videographers, even giving them directions and suggestions. 3. Krizelle had an emergency pack on her that had Advil / Tylenol which came in handy as the bridal party had a migraine come on in the middle of the day. 4. While we were getting ready, any coordination that needed to happen with vendors, they handled it for us (e.g. reaching out to our wedding planners and flower vendors to ensure florals were brought over for detail photos). 5. They helped pose us for almost all of our photos, fixed our hair, fluffed dresses, got us drinks, and more. Something you don't realize is that your photographers are there with you for pretty much every moment of your day (more so than any other vendor - even your wedding planner). They're like your personal assistants and secondary wedding coordinators, not to mention your personal hype-men throughout the entire day. After planning a wedding for over a year, it was truly a pleasure and a weight off of our shoulders to have such a dedicated team instill confidence in our decision. Their focus was undeniable and we felt like we made friends in the process. We rarely write reviews but this one was definitely warranted. Don't think twice, pictures are forever!
