Highly, highly recommend! Flavia was one of three candidates I reached out to and we really liked her disposition, her approach, and that she's an 'owner-operator' of her business, with an assistant (as opposed to a larger event company or on a team, where there was a chance your event could drop in priority if a bigger client/event came in, or that your event could get passed to another planner). Flavia has a wide range of relationships in place in the southern California area, including beyond-helpful connections with florals and decor concepts. We had some vendors in place when we hired Flavia; for those we hadn't already hired, Flavia was great at 'vetting' vendors when she was not already familiar with them. Our event was simple in some ways (ceremony & reception in the same venue, not a lot of transport logistics) but complicated in others (very specific timing, not a lot of advance time in the space, lots of deliveries to coordinate in advance, many participants in our ceremony/toasts, etc). Flavia kept it all running smoothly, identified problems in advance and headed them off (her minute-by-minute overview of our day was on-point), and calmly addressed whatever came up-- all while making sure that we (the celebrants) actually ate the food we spent months planning, and had a drink while talking to our 90 guests. (It's funny what you'll forget to do on the day-of.) She is masterfully observant and understands the "flow" of a well-run event. Flavia has this "in-control, yet not a control freak" presence, which was perfect: she speaks with authority while being genuine & pleasant- not always something you find in a planner, and what we wanted for handling vendors! She stopped at nothing to make things look and feel the way we envisioned- she tested out a bunch of ideas with us for decor leading up to our celebration, and kept on quests for supplies and designs for us. Your wedding will be something else, truly a spectacle that none of your guests have seen, if you are smart and give the reigns to this amazing woman. Flavia has years of experience working in high end-luxury hotels on the catering end. She will help you navigate contracts and help you make the best decisions for you and your fiancee. This is one of the most difficult times because you may not know the ropes, and she can make it seamless for you... If that's not enough, she is a powerhouse of good taste. She will never lead you to something that she does not like herself, and this I believe is a personal quality that you would not find in other coordinators. This is important: she has seen it all and will tell you when she sees something special that will make your guests drool. When it gets to the big day, watch her take care of it all. You will feel very important and very well taken care of. Guess what: You won't need a clock around you at all* on your wedding day-she has it down. I had an hour in between my ceremony and venue in which plenty could have gone wrong, and I was early with 25 minutes to spare. Trust me, you'd rather be there early then late and have it all go wrong. She is just so passionate with her job, and that makes all the difference. When she knows she did 100%, she will do what she can to get you to 150%. She thinks outside of the box, and will fix things should things go wrong. Amazing... Flavia helped me with my wedding planning. I have only one thing to say... PHENOMENAL!!! I got married on August 16 in Chicago and I will be forever thankful for everything she did for me. Flavia is organized, punctual and really know her work. She handled the rehearsal and the day of the wedding like nobody else. She met with the caterer the day before just to get the table linens and make sure everything was going to be perfectly set up the day of the wedding. Because of Flavia, my husband and I had the luxury to rest in the bride's room for 40 minutes during the cocktail hour and I have to confess that it was priceless. Working with Flavia was absolutely wonderfu! She is so easy to talk to and I regularly felt that she could understand what I was envisioning even if I didn't feel that I was articulating it very well, and she always made it happen. She has a wonderful "editing eye" due to her extensive experience which we found to be invaluable. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Flavia and her team. She is truly family after our experience having her help plan my wedding. My wedding was GORGEOUS. She had so many great ideas to bring to the table and so many things that made the wedding run so much more efficiently. She has a background in food and we are complete foodies. She directed us to the most amazing caterer ever that put together a full 5 course wine pairing meal for us. I should copy and paste the menus it is sure to make everyone drool. She was just a good time and I love hanging out with her. When I was researching I asked for some referrals and she gave me a huge list and everyone on the list raved. This was my deciding factor. We were so lucky to be introduced to Flavia in January of 2015. She planned my daughter and son-in-laws wedding which took place on December 5, 2015, and I cannot say enough about her talent, attention to detail and warm and genuine heart. There are just aren't words to describe how grateful I am to have had her by my side through the planning journey and on my wedding day. I talked to many wedding planners when I was deciding who to hire. I am a very thorough person so I wanted to truly explore all of my options before I made such a big decision. When I talked to Flavia, it was obvious she was the person for me. We just had a connection and shared a vision. I felt she understood me and my vision without even telling her much at all. I am quite the planner when it comes to things. I am the person that keeps spreadsheets for everything and is so organized, its scary. I like things done a certain way and can be very particular. All of this said, it is sometimes hard for me to let go and let someone else take charge. With Flavia, it was easy. I trusted her with wedding planning unlike anyone else. This took off so much stress and made the process so much easier. Responsive & Trustworthy As someone who is on business travel 80% of the time, it was nice having someone who was always around and could also work well with me virtually. I especially recall, one Friday morning when I called her unexpectedly while shopping last minute for a second wedding dress because I wasn't completely happy with my first one. She is truly gifted when it comes to the overall design / vision. She understood me and produced something better than what I had imagined. She truly blew me away. When I walked into the ballroom for the first time, I started crying. Everyone she recommended that we hired did an absolutely amazing job from the rentals, to the flowers, the make-up artist, and the videographer just to name a few. They were all great to work with, too. She always knew what questions to ask vendors. The Day Went Smoothly The day of the wedding was perfect. The execution was flawless. In all honesty, my wedding would have never happened if Flavia were not by my side so to say the least, she holds a very special place in my heart. The vision for our wedding was fairly simple - a 45 person event near the water. However, finding a planner to execute on our vision was more difficult than anticipated after an exhaustive 2 month search, we found Flavia and she was worth the wait! She insisted on meeting in person and met us in West LA, something other candidates did not even suggest. Once we met her, we knew she was "the one" - not only was she willing to work with our ideas, we knew she would elevate the vision we had. We really put Flavia through her paces after hiring her. It took about 4 months to find a venue and we finally decided on having the ceremony on the Malibu Pier and reception at Malibu Farm. Signed the papers and put in a deposit in December 2014 for a May 2015 wedding. As the months roll by, we finalize the design and logistics for the wedding. Come March, we were told the Malibu Farm/Pier representative was fired for misrepresenting the venues which put our wedding in danger. Needless to say, my husband and I were in a panic as most of our wedding was planned. We moved the reception down the pier to the Malibu Pier Restaurant where Flavia re-planned everything and just when we thought it was smooth sailing, we were told by the state that the Pier would be undergoing repairs in the May/June timeframe and there was a chance our wedding would cancelled. Long story short, we were screwed with 3 weeks left to look for a venue. Malibu was obviously not meant to be. Piece of advice for everyone: DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING ON A PIER!! This is where Flavia really proved her worth! Through a stroke of luck, my husband's father had a connection at Terranea in Palos Verdes and they had availability on our wedding date on one of their lawns (despite having 3 other weddings that day). Flavia went into triage mode and took care of everything in TWO WEEKS while pregnant. Yes, TWO WEEKS, fourteen days. While pregnant. Needless to say, she made it happen. Terranea was spectacular and turned out way better than I could've imagined. Flavia really pulled out all the stops and made it a night we'll never forget. And despite the stress (especially on Flavia and her team), the Malibu debacle was the best thing that could've happened to our wedding. Not only she gave us a lot of honest & valuable advice on our first meeting, but she also took us over with her amazing personality - we could tell that she does this for a living because she truly enjoys it. As you may know, wedding planning is quite a stressful task! From the very beginning until the very end, Flavia was always there for us: extremely responsive & patient replying to our million questions, calming us down in the few meltdowns along the way, explaining and guiding us through the proper wedding etiquette and designing the wedding of our dreams! Our wedding planner was everything we had hoped for and completely exceeded our expectations! We had 7 months to our wedding and I had interviewed several planners. What struck us most about Flavia was how she not only listened carefully to what we were saying but was able to turn our ideas and random thoughts into a coherent vision.
