Brittany from Events by Katherine was our daughter's day of wedding coordinator and we could not have been any more pleased. For folks who don't know a day of coordinator is a must and don't just show up on the day of the wedding. They get to know you, your details, plan a timeline and so much more. Then on the day of the wedding they relieve you of all the duties. Brittany was exceptional. She proactively took care of everything. Our decor was beautiful and she placed everything where we asked. She took care of the bride and groom and the wedding party throughout the night and then at the end of the night had everything packed up and sent with us in the limo or set aside to pick up the next day. She made everything run smoothly and we highly recommend her and Events by Katherine! Thanks so much Brittany! read more

Katherine was our wedding planner. We are absolutely thrilled with how our special day turned out, and how smoothly everything went thanks to Katherine. We got married in Casa Romantica in San Clemente. However, we were living far away in San Jose in the year building up to the wedding. We also had a baby and were enduring the covid pandemic throughout the wedding planning year. Despite all this, Katherine made everything a breeze. Most of the "work" we had to do was make multiple-choice type decisions where she presented us with options (like: picking dj, food, flowers, decor, cake, etc). For fuzzier things like vows and ceremony script, she gave us lots of advice and guidance. Since we were remote, we could only afford a couple trips to arrange wedding details in person. Katherine greatly accommodated our special situation: for a couple weekend visits, she packed our schedule to be super productive and get most in-person things done at once. On the techie side, she is extremely organized with spreadsheets for timelines, guest management, budgets, etc. She was very responsive and focused in email threads. She also easily handled any task involving invites online, wedding websites, registry etc. As I work in the tech industry, I feel like Katherine is like the kind of product manager you dream of working with. On the personal side, Katherine is very low-key, never exerted her influence or opinion, and always had a cheerful attitude. She would mostly listen to us try to reason decisions out, and offer any insights or details we might not have thought of. We really felt like we owned the decision-making process and made the wedding to our own taste. We, with our families, are now scrolling through wedding photos with joy. I have heard both sets of parents marvel at how beautiful AND well-organized our ceremony and reception were. That is all thanks to Katherine! read more

Our venue required us to hire a wedding coordinator from their list. I contacted several, and Katherine was the first person to respond with a reasonable price. After hearing from the other coordinators, you can easily determine that Katherine was the most experienced and qualified for the job. Every conversation with Katherine was prompt, professional, and no-nonsense. She took care of every task ASAP, and her attention to detail was on point! I wish we had her for the entire process because our coordinator for the reception venue was horrible. It was a pleasure doing business with Katherine! I would highly recommend her services! read more

Katherine did an incredible job helping me plan my cross-country wedding in my parents backyard... not an easy wedding to execute. Katherine gave excellent vendor recommendations, respected our budget and was communicative throughout. Day of Katherine and Brianna did an incredible job executing the wedding. Having a wedding in your own home for 115 is challenging and they did an awesome job shielding my parents and I from feeling like it was 'on us' to do anything. She ensured my husband and I ate, kept us on schedule smoothly and made the whole day a pleasure. Highly recommended! read more

Events by Katherine was our day of coordinator. Katherine was very professional and I immediately had confidence that she would ensure everything would run smoothly. I'm an event planner myself and just wanted to enjoy my wedding day rather than having to worry about all the logistics. I'm so happy I hired her team. She and Jordyn were wonderful onsite and we did not have a single issue that day. Every vendor was on time and the day went exactly as planned. I would highly recommend Katherine and her team to any couple! read more

I can't even begin to thank Jessica enough for how she was able to pull everything together for my daughter's wedding. She was fantastic. I am so impressed that Jessica took care of all the decor, setting up, and timeline with such professionalism. We had many twists and turns with my daughter's wedding. From the sudden shutdown of a large beach resort to a small backyard; and then the sudden heatwave. Through it all Jessica was cheerful, reassuring and created so many easy solutions. read more

Initially we didn't believe we needed a wedding coordinator to have a successful wedding; however, the venue we chose for our big day required one. We were provided a list of several wedding coordinators by the venue to choose from, but decided to meet a couple of others we found on our own. We came across "Events by Katherine," after seeing some photos of a wedding she had done at our venue. From our first meeting we knew that they were the right fit for us and decided to hire them immediately. We had multiple meetings over a period of 6 months and during this time Katherine was very flexible and accommodating with our schedules as we were commuting over 90 minutes away for our meetings. Throughout that time, Katherine made sure that we reached our milestones, and if we fell behind, she quickly provided us with suggestions (e.g. selecting vendors) to get us back on track. On the day of our wedding rehearsal, Katherine took control and managed the entire wedding party providing detailed instructions to everyone and what to expect. Our wedding party and family all noted on how organized and easy the rehearsal was thanks to Katherine's direction. On the wedding day, Katherine arrived an hour earlier than planned to help set-up 1,000 paper cranes we wanted to be displayed and to be hung on an arch at the venue - she didn't have to do that, but Katherine and her assistant did. The wedding went according to the timeline we worked on together, and all the details from assisting family with specials needs to managing the various vendors couldn't have gone any better. We are so glad we hired Events by Katherine to coordinate our big wedding day. Anybody looking for a wedding coordinator who is not only ambitious, responsible and reliable must hire Events by Katherine! read more

Katherine of Events by Katherine Wedding Coordination is a complete breath of fresh air. She is very organized, prepared and more importantly her attention to detail is second to none. She really loves what she does and it shows in big ways. At the wedding reception , I noticed Tom and Anggela (Bride and Groom on 06/01/13) were so relaxed and worry free because they knew Katherine was on top of everything. I look forward to working with Katherine again in the near future. Michael & Angelo Owners/DJ MichaelAngelo Music DJS & Custom Lighting read more

This is my first review ever on Yelp. I get lazy usually but I have to leave a review for Katherine and her staff. I was bridesmaid for a good friend of mine, that's where I met Katherine. She recommended me Katherine and said so many good things about her. I'm a DIY bride and if it weren't for Katherine and her staff, there's no way I can pull off my dream wedding. They got to the venue on time (I think even before the promised time) and didn't leave until everything was packed up at the end of the night. They prosecuted everything exactly like what I wanted them to be. Being a DIY bride can be very stressful, but Katherine and her staff gave me my peace of mind and everything was GOOD. I already recommended her to friends who's not even engaged yet... THANK YOU SO MUCH KATHERINE!!! read more

My husband and I had a great experience with Events by Katherine. We had both Katherine and Brittney on our wedding day. They were such a great team! They both made us feel very comfortable and helped us have the best wedding day. Katherine is very organized and detail oriented, which I highly appreciated. She took away all the stress the week of and made us feel at ease on our wedding day. Both Katherine and Brittney were very patient, hard working and kind. We only hired Events by Katherine for partial planning, but wish we had hired her for full planning. The vendors she recommended were absolutely great and very professional. We asked for her advice on colors, decor, vendors, etc and each suggestion was perfect for what we were looking for. We highly recommend Events by Katherine!! read more

I needed help planning my wedding,my fiancé is in the military and he wasn't able to help me much since we were far apart. I found Katherine on Facebook and I reached out to Katherine and her team.my fiancé and I met with her and talked about all what we wanted and budget we were wanting. Katherine was our planner and she helped us stay within budget and choose a venue for our wedding along with recommend vendors for our wedding. I loved that if we had a questions or concerns she'd get back to me right away or the next day. It can be stressful planning a wedding and it shouldn't be at all. I'm thankful that Katherine was there to help me and keep me calm at times.she was there at our walk through, rehearsal, before and after our ceremony, and till the very end of our reception her team stayed and helped. I loved that they guided our guest and helped at our different stations (one less thing I needed to worry about).our wedding turned out really amazing and everyone just couldn't stop talking about it.till this day they still talk about it. I recommend Katherine and her team for helping with your wedding, their the best! They make the process easy and really nice. To be honest after everything their like part of our family now. After going through my venue's entire list of suggested coordinators, Katherine was the ONE person that I think I could spend the entire day with. I just went with the day of coordinating, which brought her on board a few months before the wedding. After months and months of Pinterest / Etsy / David Tutera watching, she was able to bring our crazy ideas together. PRIOR TO WEDDING: Katherine was super organized. Even in areas we had been slacking ... like the dessert vendor, she kept us in check and reminded us to take care of things. The timeline she planned was so detailed, i felt like we were in good hands. She coordinated all of the vendors that I really didn't have to talk to them that much. She also came to the tasting followed by walk through and everything felt so in control that I had no worries about the wedding. Ideas about layout and presentation were just additional awesome things that really got my fiancee excited about this day. WEDDING DAY: There was also a limited time crunch because I moved up the reception and there was a meeting going on in the event space leaving little time for set up. She brought on enough people to help that everything was done. I even saw the event space before the guests were let in, and it looked amazing. Even little touches like she put extra lights in empty jars made everything seem like a dream. I just gave vague instructions about where to put things, but Katherine and her assistants made everything seem amazing. Also they helped place 27 water terrarium centerpieces (that is not easy!) Didn't even feel like it was my wedding. She made sure that we ate, and rescued me from the barrage of relatives and people wanting to take pictures. I literally didn't have to do a THING during the wedding. The assistants packaged everything so organized and even saved the entrees that i didn't eat, the top tier of my cake, and also the extra cake left behind. (Cake for breakfast!??!?! Heck yea!) Seriously, if you go with her - take her advice on everything! I'm glad we added an extra hour of DJ, and extra hours for photo and video (was reluctant at first, but this was really KEY ... ). I didn't take her advice on the amount of dessert ..because I was terrified about running out.... which was a mistake because I ended up with a lot of uneaten frozen yogurt. read more

Katherine and her team are amazing. My husband and I both feel that our day was perfect and a large reason for that is because of Katherine. She was our day-of coordinator, about a month before our wedding she met with us to start taking over communications with vendors and help us put together a timeline for the event. After our first meeting, my stress level definitely decreased. She and her assistant met with us for about 2 hours and asked us about 150 questions. She asked about details I had not even considered and she had suggestions, options, advice, ideas for all of it! I knew whatever I didn't know or plan for she would have it covered. Katherin and her team were kind and professional during the event. She managed all the communication with vendors, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, guests, the venue... everyone. No one was coming to me with questions or problems, which made me infinitely happy. I didn't have to do anything except enjoy the day. During the reception, if my husband or I saw something that needed to be done, before either of us could say anything it was already taken care of. It was almost as if we had magic elves doing all the work. If you need a coordinator, do yourself a favor and hire Events By Katherine. You won't be disappointed. read more

Let me put it this way: Katherine is the greatest event coordinator on the face of this planet. Katherine is a legend. Lesser coordinators tremble when the name Events By Katherine is uttered. If I were to be elected President, I would want Katherine to oversee the hosting of visiting foreign dignitaries. I would trust Katherine to host the Pope. If weddings were an Olympic sport, it would replace synchronized swimming, and everyone would be mad because Katherine would win literally all of the gold medals. Katherine ran such a tight ship on our wedding day -- my wife and I were left speechless. Everything went according to plan. Everything was flawless. Everything was on schedule. I was not even aware of the work she was doing, because she was doing it silently, flawlessly, efficiently, in the background, allowing us to focus on, y'know, getting married and entertaining our guests. It's a shame I can't give Katherine much in the way of repeat business, but the least I can do is encourage all of my friends and the entire Internet to hire her to coordinate your wedding. She will plan with you ahead of time, she will think over every possible detail, she will tell you where she spots holes in your own plans, and she HAS YOUR BACK. If you're still reading this review, you know my opinion already: she is the best. Hire her. Don't bother shopping around--you've found the best option. read more

Review: I used Events by Katherine for the last two months of planning my wedding. By that time I had most of the big things taken care of, but I was totally lost on how to bring it all together with all the fine details. I reached out to numerous coordinators and no one else offered day of coordination starting two months before the wedding. Having that much time with a coordinator was hugely helpful! Katherine met with my fiancé and I and helped us create an entire timeline for the wedding. Katherine was always available to me by email or phone whenever I had a quick question and she always replied promptly. She also gave me great advice on what things I really should have and what I could totally do without at my wedding. By the time my wedding day arrived, I was totally at ease and all I had to do was relax and enjoy the day. The wedding went perfectly and we owe a lot of that to Katherine and her great assistant Jessica! They were both so professional and handled everything perfectly. I would highly recommend her to anyone! read more

Honestly, if I could give Katherine and her team 10 stars I would! She couldnt have been more professional, fun, and all around gem to work with. She is incredibly organized, calm, and responds to e-mails in a very timely manner. She made wedding planning fun, which I think is hard to do! The cherry on top was that she was awesome on our wedding day. She made the day all about us, did whatever she could to make sure we were comfortable and having fun. Seriously, went above and beyond everything we asked her to do! Definitely someone you want to have on your team! read more

I don't think I could ever write enough about how amazing our wedding coordinator was. Jessica helped make our dream wedding come true and so much more! She was amazing with communication and contacting vendors and being on top of every thing no matter how big or small. She handled little changes or additions we made up to day of like a champion and I could not have imagined having any other person help guide us and be with us day of. It took a while for me to convince my fiancé at first for us to get a coordinator and once we got Jessica he admitted to never being more wrong in his life! He could not have imagined getting through the last 3 months and day of without her!! If you're on the fence, DON'T BE, Jessica is amazing and I would put all confidence in her that she can make any wedding special for the couple! read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jessica Salinas /Events by Katherine. I truly would not have been able to put together our wonderful wedding on 9/8 in Dana Point without her help. I booked this company for day of coordination and I am so happy I chose them. Jessica was always available to answer all of my questions. Even though we only booked her for the day of our wedding she was there throughout the entire process to help. Events by Katherine offered suggestions and vendor recommendations whenever I needed it. This is important because there are so many wedding vendors in the OC/LA area and it can be tough to pick the right vendors. Jessica was always quick to respond to all my emails. She is very easy to talk to and has an overall sweet personality. I enjoyed talking to her! She is a good listener and gives great advice. She helped me put together a timeline for the wedding which had every detail and event covered. I worked on this with her for a few months before the wedding. She always kept me on track and made sure that every detail was covered. A month before the wedding she took over all contact with my vendors. Many of my vendors mentioned how professional Jessica was and that she had provided them with all the details they needed. My photographer and DJ also mentioned that she was very on top of everything. She took a lot of the stress of my shoulders! I'm so happy that we did not have to spend any time on our wedding day worrying about any logistics. She took over the communication so smoothly and updated me whenever necessary. Jessica made sure I didn't have to worry about anything the day of my wedding. She took charge and made sure everything looked amazing. I was so impressed by her and would recommend her to all my friends. You can tell that she truly loves what she does, and it shows through her work. I highly recommend this company to all brides or anyone looking to plan an event. This is a very professional and reliable company. read more

We are so happy we hired Events by Katherine for our wedding on May 26th. Alex and Jordan did a superb job with day of planning and execution - we were beyond impressed with their attention to detail and love and care they took with everything they did. We got married at the Marconi motorsport museum in Tustin, and had the entire evening, including the reception at the single location. There was much to coordinate for each phase from ceremony to the last dance of the night and Alex and Jordan stayed until the job was done - even going above and beyond helping us with our daughter, parents and wrangling family and friends for pictures. We opted for the day of package as we had planned most of the event ourselves in advance - that said their "day of" service is more like MONTH OF +. Alex took the time to meet with us 6+ weeks before our wedding, did an in depth interview with us, gathered all the vendor information, helped us with last minute details and worked on organizing the flow of the evening and final communication with all our vendors. It wasn't until we met Alex did we realize how much MORE work there was to do! The great thing was she handled it all for us and made it look easy and proved how clutch she was before we even got close to the wedding. She regularly checked in via email and text leading up to the day and ensured all details were properly sorted. We highly recommend Events by Katherine and specifically Alex and Jordan to be your wedding or special event coordinator. Their knowledge of event planning and logistics in the planning stage more than pays for their service, and will save you tons of headaches. In addition to doing a superb job, they were both very supportive and invested in our special day, which was touching to experience. They both proved themselves to be great humans in addition to great wedding planners and coordinators. Stop reading and call Events by Katherine now - you will not regret it! read more

My fiancé and I hired Katherine before COVID-19 hit and from the moment we met with her to discuss our vision we both felt we were in the best possible hands. She is a well seasoned full service wedding planner that has the knowledge you are seeking to make your wedding planning as special as your big day. She was able to get my fiancé excited about wedding planning, which I thought was an impossible task. She asked us all the right questions to iron out every detail for our wedding. Throughout the entire wedding planning process she always had the most timely responses, even on her personal vacation time she made time to respond to us which blew us away! She worked endlessly through the global pandemic to answer our questions and mainly concerns about our wedding. We postponed our wedding 3 times and sadly we decided to cancel it for 2020 but we are confident that when the world settles down we would love to work with Katherine again. Katherine is a true professional and we are beyond grateful that we had her by our side during this extremely challenging year. Do not second guess working with Katherine, you will not regret it! read more

Let me just start this review by saying....stop your search for a coordinator because you HAVE FOUND HER!! If Yelp gave 100 stars, I would max that out with no problem!!! I cannot begin to describe how great of a job Katherine and her team did for our wedding. My wife and I were very fortunate to have found Katherine through a recommendation from our venue. He had spoken to two other coordinators before we got to Katherine, so we kind of had a feel for how the meeting would go, and what to expect from a day of wedding coordinator. Right off the bat, she blew us away with her professionalism and overall attention to detail. She made the first meeting about us, trying to get to know us and what we expected from her...not what she can provide us. A change in approach that we felt was very refreshing. We booked with her and right away....we knew we made the right decision. Katherine took care of all the coordination leading up to the wedding. She made sure to CC us on emails and tracked down every last detail for our wedding. She coordinated with all our vendors and read through all the agreements/contracts for each vendor, ensuring that they kept their end of the arrangement. She put together a massive excel sheet with a minute by minute break down of all the events for the big day (I.e. Photos, church, reception, transportation, photos, toasts, family members, everything!) It is not an exaggeration when I say everything, she covers everything!!!! To a detail that made our big day go sooooo smoothly. After the wedding, my wife and I just felt indebted to her....we still feel like we owe her so much for what she did for us. She definitely made our wedding hassle free and the best day of our lives. Katherine is one of those people that care deeply about what she does, and it is obvious that she devotes everything she has to your big day. She even sent us a gift for christmas! Date of event: May 24, 2014 Venue: Aguacate Gardens, San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, CA Events by Katherine was a godsend. The services was one of the best investments my husband and I made towards our wedding. We got married at Aguacate Gardens, in San Jan Capistrano, a breathtaking venue that fitted our personality as well as the need for a truly unique and personal experience. We sought out Katherine after being recommended by Patty, our amazing wedding caterer at Sun dried Tomato restaurant & Catering. Katherine was professional, knowledgeable, and honest. She made the process of planning our dream wedding smooth and enjoyable. She alway answered any questions I had promptly and was generous with her time during our meetings. A bonus was that she was so friendly, easy to work with, and a calming presence when needed. I cannot recommend her enough. She made spot-on suggestions for vendors, handled all the contracts/negotiations, and appeared at every vendor meeting. She also had great staff that helped to run the day with such precision and grace. It was amazing piece of mind to know that this huge event was in such capable hands. I was able to enjoy my day and not stress about anything. Also, based on her planning, recommendations, and advice-- my actual wedding FAR SURPASSED my dream wedding. I would not have made it through the wedding planning process without Katherine. She made the process easy and stress free, from finding us the best vendors at the best prices to tackling more difficult issues. Katherine is a true maestro of event planning. To say that she played a critical role in the success of our wedding would be an understatement. Our wedding was so awesome that our friends wish we would do this every 3 years! We used Katherine's Full Service Wedding Planning package, which was a great choice. With only 8 months away from the wedding, and nothing booked/bought besides the venue, I was a little bit panicking on the inside. But Katherine calmly helped us create a to-do list and prioritize what needed to be done first. We were faced with so many difficult decisions throughout the process (chicken or fish? Chiavari chairs, yes or no?), but with Katherine's guidance it all seemed like a breeze. During meetings with vendors, she was very mindful of our preferences and asked the right questions to make sure that we made the right choices. With Katherine's help, we were able to have a wedding that we will never forget. Choose Katherine as your event planner, and you will not regret it. read more

I got married a few weeks ago in San Clemente and my entire wedding went exactly as planned. I loved every single second of it and I have to thank Katherine and her assistant because they took care of everything for me. All I did was show up and enjoy! I am a control freak and extremely organized, so I wanted to make sure my coordinator would be as meticulous and organized as me. After my first meeting with Katherine I knew she was even more organized and the perfect person to bring every little detail together on my day. She is extremely professional, she listened carefully to what I wanted and then made me aware of dozens of things I had not even considered. After each meeting Katherine would provide me with a recap of all the things we needed to do and all the ones we had done. On our wedding day everything went perfectly. I truly did not have to worry about a thing. I showed up and simply enjoyed every second of it. My fiancé told later that before I arrived to our reception site he saw Katherine fixing quite a few things that were not going as planned. She was able to find a solution on the spot and work with the vendors to fix things that were not going as I wanted. Through the entire process, Katherine remained very calmed and you can really tell she enjoys the craziness it is to plan a wedding. While she always has a smile in her face and a very pleasant personality, she is also strong enough to manage the vendors and guests with grace. read more

We couldn't have been happier with Katherine as the coordinator for our daughter's wedding. She was incredibly professional and knowledgeable at every step of the planning process and was completely unflappable no matter what requests we made. She also always available and responsive, an important quality given that the bride and groom both live on the east coast and had limited opportunity to discuss plans with her face to face. Finally, and most importantly, Katherine and Brianna kept everything moving like clockwork on the wedding day; everything was absolutely flawless and we were just able to relax and enjoy the event. I could not be more grateful to the team at Events by Katherine (Alexandra, Jordan and Karley) for making our wedding come together more beautifully than we imagined. To this day, I'm still hearing from so many of our guests "one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to". Our day-of coordinator Alexandra met with us 2 months before our big day which took a huge burden off our shoulders just in the nick of time (right when the bridezilla truly starts to emerge). She was definitely the backbone in the final months of planning which alleviated so much stress, not to mention she was also so emotionally supportive! Most people will give their die-hard wedding advice (to do a first look or not). Alexandra, on the other hand, encouraged my husband and I to decide on what felt right to US as a couple rather than following the industry standard. I love that about her. Events by Katherine made our wedding dreams come true seemlessly. The communication was swift and thorough. All of our questions were answered. Bottom line- our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was if it weren't for this wonderful team of women who collaborated and executed! read more
