It was an absolute dream to work with the Sage team. When we chose our venue (The Grassroom DTLA) for our November 2024 wedding, Sage was listed as a preferred vendor on their coordinator list, and we contacted them for month-of coordination services. Eunice, Beah, Lina, and Jamie were all wonderful to work with and made us feel so taken care of during the month leading up to our wedding--particularly on the actual day. When we did our walk-through at the venue, one of the things that made us feel at ease was the Sage team's familiarity with our venue and our vendors. They clearly had a relationship with the folks we'd chosen to work with, and their proven experience made us relax instantly. They asked questions we would not have even considered, and we felt very prepared on the day of our wedding. The actual day went perfectly. Eunice and her team communicated with all of our bridal party, family and vendors in advance and everyone felt good about knowing where to go and when. It was so wonderful to arrive at the venue and see everything set up exactly how we'd discussed. The wedding itself went so smoothly -- so much so that we received compliments from our guests about it in real time. One of the things I'd been told a thousand times was that folks getting married often don't eat enough at their own weddings -- the Sage team made sure we had full plates ready at our seats, which was such a wonderful, thoughtful detail. We wanted ice cream for dessert, but our venue didn't have a freezer, so Lina picked up the ice cream from its location for us during the reception, and it timed out perfectly (thanks again, Lina!) When the wedding was over, we received all of our decor neatly organized and easy to transport, and we were able to give the Sage team the vendor tips before the ceremony so we didn't have to run around tipping folks as they finished services. Eunice helped with our wedding in late August 2021, and we loved her! Like many covid couples, we had to postpone a few times. Eunice helped reschedule multiple times with our vendors, and it was a very smooth process. What impressed me the most about Eunice was how composed she was and how comfortable she made us feel. She was always very positive, very calm, yet had a sense of urgency that made us feel prioritized. Leading up to the event, Eunice was very responsive and extremely thorough. On the day of our event, Eunice continued to help make us feel so comfortable. One thing that really stood out was how thoughtful and empathetic she was-- for example, she even made sure appetizers were brought to the bridal room while we practiced our first dance and waited to make our entrance for the reception. Our venue at Intercontinental DTLA was logistically very tricky, and I think Eunice brought in more of her team than she had originally mentioned ensuring flawless execution. There really are no adequate words to express my thanks to Sage Event Planning -- from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to Eunice, Jamie and the team (Jamie, you are seriously AMAZING). My husband and I had our wedding in August 2018. From the start of wedding planning, we knew we wanted some sort of wedding planner just to make sure we weren't missing anything (big or small details). Eunice and Jamie met with us several times whenever we were in Southern California doing wedding planning. They made sure to address every worry or concern I had and also were able to bring up things we hadn't even thought about and offered solutions for us. They were easy and amazing to work with throughout the entire process. The wedding day. They made it SO EASY for me to forget all the logistical details and just focus on being a bride (which is really hard given that I'm a meticulous planner...). From check in to the ceremony to cocktail hour to photos to dinner and dancing, Jamie kept us on schedule and was able to improvise if we were off schedule. To be completely honest, I'm a bit of a hot mess. I procrastinate until the very end (my wedding being no exception) which is why I knew I need a month of / day of coordinator. Enter Jamie from Sage! I'll start with the most important thing: I was completely relaxed on my wedding day. Jamie ensured everything she needed was in her hands the day before the wedding. Everyone also knew exactly where to go and when - which meant I had no frantic texts / calls from family or vendors. The timeline provided by Sage so detailed. What I appreciated the most about their services was not having to worry about the small details and having the time to process what was about to happen. I had a couple hours in the morning to talk with my bridesmaids, pray, and meditate marriage and what it meant to me. It allowed me to really be in the moment and to me, that experience is priceless. Now on to the rest: Communication - Jamie responded to every question in a timely manner. She was sweet (even if I thought my questions were silly) and left no question unanswered. She also encouraged me to text / call her about anything. She also spoke to all of my vendors, bridal party, and family. Everyone who met her loved her and her team because she was not only one of the nicest people you will ever come across, but she was straight forward in her communication. Knowledge - There are so many tiny details that go into a wedding and its easy to overlook. I honestly felt like I had everything done but Jamie would ask me questions about things I never considered. She provided a lot of insight into what other couples do and what worked/didn't work. Trouble shooting - There were a couple of hiccups on my wedding day (as expected) but Jamie was able to solve everything without breaking a sweat. For set up I had noticed that her team had brought white gaff tape to cover the ugly wires that needed to run across my grand hall - this hadn't even crossed my mind. She also brought pens for my guest book (because I, of course, forgot). Finally, my signs (i.e. photobooth sign, open bar sign, guest book signs) were not printed on thick enough cardstock paper and kept bending over. Somehow they fixed it. The best part is I didn't find out about any of this until after the fact. They were so great at independently solving everything. Intuition - I won't go into details but I will say that Jamie knows how to handle difficult situations. She is able to sense what is the best way to approach something and handle it calmly. To ensure I don't stress and become a bridezilla and could actually enjoy my wedding, my fiance suggested we hire a day-of wedding coordinator. We found Eunice with SAGE through our DJ/MC and got her "Goethe" package (which actually covers the day-of and month-of). Eunice was great! She was very professional, responded quickly to emails during any time of day, very responsive and accommodating to our needs. She helped me think of things that I hadn't planned or anticipated during the entire planning process, which I really appreciated. And what I liked was that she was honest with her feedback, giving me suggestions based on her experience. We did a very DIY wedding (due to the casual/garden wedding theme and tight budget) so had a ton of things for Eunice and Hannah (her assistant, who was great too, btw!) to set up the day of. And she did an AWESOME job with the set up. Everything was perfect. And even when little glitches happened that were beyond our control, she somehow improvised with her creativity and made things work! Amazing. The Sage Event Planning team did my day-of coordination for my wedding last month. I knew Eunice and her team would be perfect for the job because I saw her in action 9 months prior when she coordinated my cousin's wedding and did an excellent job of helping things flow and provided quick on-the-spot troubleshooting. Eunice was always professional, easy to get in touch with and offered honest and helpful advice every step of the way. She has a great list of wedding/party vendors to recommend too. When I was having the worst time trying to lock down a florist, she recommended me to the florist who did her wedding and I ended up hiring her. One week before the wedding, she created a very detailed timeline, along with all important phone numbers that included the wedding party, key family members and all vendors to keep everyone organized and able to reach each other easily. My other vendors were blown away and happy to know that everyone was on the same page. The day before my wedding, she led the rehearsal and made sure everyone was comfortable and aware of their duties. My wedding consisted of two locations - an outdoor ceremony and a ballroom reception with 300 guests and short vendor set up times. Eunice and her team were on top it, quickly setting up the reception hall decor and dessert bar, then headed to the outdoor ceremony site to manage the ceremony activities. After the ceremony, within a blink of an eye the team moved quickly to tear down and transport all items to be re-purposed at the reception hall. I'm a totally worrier, but on my wedding day, I didn't have a fear in the world, because I knew that Eunice would make sure everything was perfect and it was!!! But she does have a list of vendors/services she can refer if you are in need & recommended Something Borrowed Something Vintage, an event furniture rental company, which we used & was also a very positive experience. Without Eunice & her assistant Hannah we would have been a lot more stressed & a lot less organized. We can't recommend her enough, at first we weren't sure if we wanted or needed to hire a full time coordinator but it was well worth it and we are so glad we went with Eunice. We decided to go with Eunice because she was recommended by our venue, she had really great reviews online, and she was a little cheaper and seemed much more personal and hands on compared to the other options. She was great throughout the process, her suggestions and advice was really priceless and saved us so much stress and money ultimately. I knew from the get-go that I wanted to plan my wedding myself, but would inevitably need a day-of coordinator. When I began researching rates for a day-of coordinator, it seemed absurd to hire someone for one day of service. Boy, was I wrong! Although I hired Eunice as the "day-of" coordinator for my early November wedding, she began helping me immediately upon retention in early September. I exchanged nearly 100 emails with Eunice during the next 2 months, countless texts, and had 2 face-to-face meetings. During our first meeting she figured out exactly what I was still missing, and forwarded me recommendations for vendors during the next couple weeks. Eunice responded to every communication promptly and impeccably (no grammatical errors ever!). Once we were a little over 2 weeks from the big day, Eunice and I met to construct a day-of timeline. We went over everything, inclusive of how the families would enter the ceremony, how my bridal party would stand, and the venue layout. Immediately after that meeting, Eunice sent the most spectacularly detailed day-of timeline to each of my vendors, bridal party, family members, and helpers, also including everyone's contact information. Most importantly, Eunice stressed throughout her email that no one was to contact my husband or I on the day of the wedding. Eunice directed our rehearsal the night before our wedding, expertly dealing with family members with a million questions. She even prepared the sweetest care package for me - two beautiful mugs with our initials, and a plastic box container filled with every bride's essentials! Then, on the BIG DAY, she was all over the place - eye-signaling me during the ceremony to shift over to the right to center myself under the arch for photos, communicating to our MC exactly how I wanted my first dance to be announced seconds before entry, politely ushering guests away from the sweetheart table so we could eat dinner, saving the top tier of our cake to freeze for our 1 year anniversary, and loading up all the decorations in my dad's car. I woke up the next morning without a clue where everything was - and Eunice preemptively sent me a text and email answering every question I had before I could even ask it. Eunice was the glue that made my dream wedding come together seamlessly. I will never fully know all the problems she had to deal with that day because she was a shield that protected me from all the problems, letting me sail calmly through the greatest day of my life. **warning: super long review** There are no words to describe how amazing Eunice is at her job! If there were 10 stars, I would give her 12! She's just that amazing. She goes above and beyond what a wedding coordinator (or a normal person) would do, and on top of that, she does everything with an amazing amount of patience and grace! We hired Eunice as a day-of coordinator, but she still contacted me throughout the entire planning process, checking up on me to see if I needed any advice, suggestions, or needed help making decorations or crafts. Since she knew my wedding was mostly DIY, she even offered to take some big projects off my hands so that I can focus on other things (such a sweetheart!!). But poor Eunice. She did not know what she was getting herself into when she agreed to coordinate our wedding. If there ever was a nightmare of all nightmares of a wedding, mine was it. It starts with us not wanting to spend too much $, so we had a lot of services/products donated to us by our friends and family. However, in exchange for their services, we had to provide a lot of manpower. So we enlisted a few friends to help with the set up, which included setting up tables, chairs, table covers & chair covers, putting up christmas lights, setting up center pieces, and arranging flowers/decorations around the venue. I thought there would be about 10-15 friends helping Eunice setting up everything but in reality, here is what happened: The 10-15 people that I thought would be there actually turned out to be 2 (where was everyone else?? I don't know). So Eunice, her assistant, and our two friends set up 100 chairs with the chair covers, table covers, put up Christmas lights (they had to climb a 15-foot ladder and hang up 300+ ft. of lights), set up the center pieces and the napkins, and put up decorations all over the venue. The table vendors were supposed to come at 1:00 pm, but 1:30 rolled around, and they still hadn't shown up. Eunice called them and found out that I hadn't actually ever confirmed my order with the table company! I had ZERO tables for the reception! Eunice quickly ordered the tables, made sure they were paid for, and got the tables to our venue and set up all before I even got there at 2:30 pm for our "first look" (HOW did she pull this off??). On top of that, Eunice had to make sure that everyone else (me, my husband, photographers, videographer, officiant, family members, DJ, etc.) were all on track with the schedule so that we could start the wedding ceremony on time. By the time our guests started to trickle in, everything was set up beautifully and we were none the wiser. Eunice even had band-aids, safety pins, and other random knick-knacks that my bridal party ended up needing last-minute! During dinner (which was buffet style), Eunice made sure that James and I received our food first, and then she proceeded to get food for the rest of our bridal party AND the other vendors. I don't even know if she had time to eat herself! When it came to the cake-cutting, I didn't think to hire/ask anyone to cut and serve the cake for our guests, so Eunice decided to cut the cake and serve our 100 guests. Eunice went so far above and beyond during our wedding that even our guests noticed how hard she was hustling! Everyone was impressed by her work ethic and the future brides at our wedding all asked for her business card. Embarrassingly, the nightmare doesn't there. After the reception was over, I didn't think to ask people to help clean up or hire a staff to do so, so once everyone had left, Eunice, her assistant, and one friend were left to deal with the aftermath. So they had to tear down everything they had set up that morning, but this time, they also had to deal with trash, the dessert/candy bar, the remainder of the wedding cake, the leftover beer/alcohol from our open bar, and I'm sure a ton more. Speaking of which, my decorations consisted of a ton of heavy, heavy books. I'm the first to admit that I'm the worst bride ever and I can't believe I put poor Eunice through all of this! But if Eunice can turn my potentially disastrous wedding into a dream, she can do anyone's wedding. She even coordinated her OWN 1,000-person wedding. ON her own wedding day! This lady is unstoppable! Did I also mention that she's a mom? Sorry for the super long review, but I just wanted people to know what kind of a person Eunice is. She's just 100% giving, unbelievably hard working, composed in the face of seemingly impossible situations, and does NOT complain one bit (I found out about all the above disasters from our friend who helped her. This friend, also amazing). Most importantly, she made sure that I didn't worry about anything, and that I simply enjoyed my wedding, which I absolutely did! Bottom line: Hire them. Eunice will go through hell and high water to make sure you are stress-free and happy on your wedding day no matter WHAT happens. read more

I don't know how to thank Sage events for the AMAZING job they did for our wedding. Honestly our day wouldn't have ever happened without Eunice and her team. We interviewed multiple coordinators and what really separated Eunice are her team from the pack was their attention to detail, relationship with industry vendors, and her genuine interest in helping with our special day. Our venue was very familiar with Eunice and her staff and confirmed our decision by letting us know that they were the "real deal" and I promise they really are! I will have to say, our wedding was not easy...with multiple (non-experienced vendors), multiple changes in the schedule, and a bunch of wild drunks, Eunice and her team took care of everything and shielded us from all the issues occurring behind the scenes. We hired Eunice as our day-of wedding coordinator and we could not have made a better decision. Her sweet, calm personality made us feel comfortable from the very beginning when we met with her at a coffee shop. She asked us on the first meeting what we wanted from a wedding coordinator, and that sums up how she thinks and operates- she does everything to make sure that the bride and groom are getting all of their needs met on the big day. Leading up to our wedding, we communicated with Eunice via email and phone, and she was incredibly supportive, responsive, and helpful with any questions that we had. Out of all the outstanding vendors I worked with for my wedding, I can confidently say that Eunice was the best vendor I hired. My goal was to be able to enjoy my big day without having to feel the stress of handling all the to-do's of the day. Eunice and her assistant, Hannah, went above and beyond to ensure that my day went as smoothly as possible. They worked well with all my vendors and communicated efficiently with each and every one of them. Although there were bumps along the way that were beyond our control, Eunice met every challenge with a gracious attitude and never failed to smile or ask me how I was doing. Even as an organized bride, I know this day would not have run as smoothly as it did without Eunice. She even took on the challenge of working with a bride with the same name -- there is no topping that! Eunice is passionate about what she does and will work with you as if this was her own wedding. Eunice was the coordinator for my sister's wedding back in March of this year. And we took special note of how meticulous and attentive she was to every single little detail. So it was an easy decision when it came to finding a coordinator for our wedding in July. Eunice was extemely pleasant and prompt when communicating with other vendors. And she made sure everyone was accounted for and had received all required information, to make sure everything went as scheduled and without a hitch. Also, on the day of our wedding, Eunice was a few minutes late in getting to the reception venue for photos, set-up, etc. Wasn't really a big deal since we were just taking some pictures with the wedding party. But we found out at the end of the night that she was rear-ended while driving to our reception venue! And she didn't even mention it to us because she didn't want to add any extra stress or bog us down with other concerns on the day of our wedding! That's just a testament of her dedication and professionalism that Eunice brings to the table. My one and only regret is that we didn't hire Eunice and her team for the entire wedding-planning fiasco. We only hired her for the month-of wedding plan.
