    Combo plate
    Lia K.

I really wanted to love the food since the lady in the parking lot hyped up the place. The employees were very kind and friendly. It smelled good inside, but it's kind of like a cafeteria. I got the combo plate and my chicken was really dry. I also was expecting the Greek meatball to be more like a keftede with a lamb beef mix, but it tasted more like an Italian meatball to me. It was also in a sweet tomato sauce. It was good, but it didn't taste Greek to me. The lamb/beef gyro meat was fine and the pita tasted fresh and hot. The spanakopita tasted like it was sitting for a while. The Greek salad dressing didn't taste like a Greek dressing either. It's just not what I'm used to when I think of Greek food. It reminded me a little of festival food. I wish I could give more stars, but maybe I just came on a bad day.

Just moved to the neighborhood and in search of a good local restaurant! Plaka Greek Cafe is definitely worth the try. I would come back time and time again. The food was very good, I'm a vegetarian so they had three different options, which didn't feel like a lot but the food was clean, didn't feel greasy or anything. The ladies serving the food are super nice and smiley, I've got happy vibes. It's a humble establishment and has a small family biz ambiance. Friendly and clean. If you are in the area, you should try it out!

This is a hidden gem place for Greek restaurant! I love the vegetarian options here and personally the falafels are the best! Come try it out! :)

I got a gyro wrap, and unfortunately the meat was dry and kind of flavorless. The Taziki definitely needed more garlic, lemon and salt. Service was quick and the inside was clean. But the food was definitely lacking flavor.

Dolmas - 4 to a plate. Yep, we snagged 2 of them asap!! Best dolmas ever

Outstanding Greek food. The dolmas are literally the best ever and so huge, full of rice AND meat. Any plate will be excellent. The combo platters are a great way to sample the many items. Combo #8 highly recommend. Pro tip, combos come with soup or salad- get one of the savory soups. Pot roast combo plate Greek style is just wow. Small cafe. Walk in, they serve you cafeteria style but do not let that dissuade you. Great service. High marks!!

#16 Create Your own Combo. Gyros, House Feta Salad & my wife's Spicy Bean Soup, Meatball, Falafel, Spanikopita, w/ Pita & Tzatziki Sauce.

Over a decade ago, the best Greek restaurant in Austin left Colorado Street and moved to Georgetown. It's odd to think that the best Greek food in the region isn't in a major city but in it's 'burbs. The properly prepared ethnic dishes are served cafeteria style and are all as good as you'll find anywhere in America. They have daily specials like Lamb Shanks. The help is friendly, expeditious, and very helpful to those who may be unfamiliar with Greek fare. Everything is made fresh daily with loving care. There is heart, soul, and family in every bite. Take a drive to Georgetown and see for yourself what I have known for years.

Living in Dallas I've been to some great Mediterranean and Greek restaurants and this one was just okay. It is a buffet style restaurant and servers serve you your meal on a plate so you can come in quickly grab a plate and be out in 15-30 mins. I ordered the combination plate which came with pita and we dined in. I just didn't like the food it didn't taste flavorful or fresh. The meatballs tasted like they were frozen and the chicken was extremely extremely dry. We had to cover the chicken with tzaziki sauce in order to eat it without choking. The spinach pie wasn't bad and the pita was delicious. It was so fresh and it redeemed the whole meal. As soon as you walk in everything looks so outdated like the restaurant is stuck in the 90s. It's not bad but it just seems odd for a busy buffet style restaurant. I feel like the owners need to invest in the restaurant and update the place especially the bathrooms. I hope this place can get a little TLC, revise its menu and upgrade the place and it would be a great place to dine at.

Oh. My. Goodness…read more This place is yummy! We had great, friendly service. The menu has enough to please a variety of appetites. The food: Complementary bread: The rolls were so delicious and soft and came with a dill cheese spread that was gone before we knew it. Bruschetta: Everyone agreed it was the best we had ever had. The flavor was beyond imaginable, and that bread was the perfect combination of toasted on the outside and soft on the inside. Oh my my. Meatballs: Pretty good. Nothing stood out good or bad with these. Margherita Pizza: Delicious flavor, but be prepared for a lot of oil! Chicken Carbonara: great flavor, and the best we've found locally. Greek Salad: I love a good Greek salad and this was one of the best I've ever had. So full of flavor and really fresh ingredients. Sandra's Inspired Eggplant Tower: We were told this was being pulled from the menu and I can't understand why. It was absolutely delicious! I'll be ordering it again and again, so hopefully they have the ingredients!

Posted hours: open until 9 PM. We were questioned at the door about the open sign, weren't sure about it, and walked in -- 21 minutes before close, completely within your posted hours. We stood inside waiting to be seated. Then we were told to leave. Staff saw a young family with an infant standing at their host stand, ready to dine, and made the deliberate choice to send us away. Not with an apology. Not with kindness. Just dismissal. This isn't a hospitality business. This is a restaurant that treats families like a burden. If there's a seating cutoff before 9 PM, post it -- don't let people walk in with a baby, get their hopes up, and then throw them out. Hard pass. Especially for families with young kids

The customer service is always amazing across all the employees, but especially the nice older guy. I have ordered their lamb gyros, which are always on point with huge servings. One of the few meals I actually like uncooked tomatoes in. The tzatziki sauce is so perky, it compliments the seasoning of the extremely flavorful and tender lamb perfectly. The Gyro Plate was one of the first "bigger" meals that I got. It tasted heavenly and was worth the extra price from the gyro wrap. It was my first experience with their hummus, which is some of the best I've ever had. I brought some home to my family because they sell tubs of hummus to go (for a similar price to what you could get at HEB, actually, and much better) and they ate it all within minutes. This has been a regular thing too. During lent I would order a lentil soup, pita, and falafel side that totaled at just under $6. This is an incredible price for how good it is. The falafels are genuinely the best falafels I have ever tried, crispy (but not hard) on the outside, and fluffy (not soggy) on the inside. Flavor was amazing. Just last week I ordered a lamb kebab plate. Folks, be prepared if you order this. This meal is HUGE. The lamb was heavenly, and I was really happy that they grilled the kebabs with some onions and peppers, really added flavor. The kebabs are made to order, so they're always fresh. Its worth the wait fellas. Come back and give this one a try if you're not rushed. Can I also mention they gave me a free soda on this one? What a nice restaurant! They're always quick except for kebabs (but give 'em the grace because its fresh cooking). 10/10 restaurant, give it a shot!

Weather was nice, so we didn't mind. We ordered the most popular dishes according to our server which was the hummus, lahmbiajin, and the mixed plate with lamb, chicken tikka, and a beef kabob. All the dishes were great. The chicken was a little drier than I wanted, but it was very flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place.

Good food, lovely decor, somewhat disappointing service…read more MENU: Large menu with a lot of options. Loved that they had a kabob plate to share (6 skewers plus 2 cold apps). PRICE: Some items seemed properly priced (the aforementioned kabob plate offered a good amount of food for $75) while others seemed overpriced. We got a cheese bread (like a thin pizza) for the kids and it was $16.99. That seems like too much for what it was. FOOD: Meat was tasty, hummus was creamy. Baklava stood out as some of the best I've had -- chunky nuts, not crushed. DECOR: Beautiful. The embroidered couches were a nice touch. SERVICE: Started off great. Very friendly and patient during ordering. At some point, it felt like they completely forgot about us. No check-in for a long time. The worst part was that no one ever bussed our table. This would have been really helpful because we had two toddlers who are constantly grabbing stuff. So we had to move our piles of plates to one side of the table. Annoying. KIDS: Somewhat kid-friendly. We saw a few other toddlers while we were there so people bring their kids. They have a limited number of high chairs -- I counted three. Two of them were broken -- my son kept undoing his buckle and standing (it was loose and didn't click into place) so I grabbed another chair which didn't even have a buckle. The third chair was being used by another family. They told us they didn't have any others. The broken high chair is actually a common issue in restaurants (kids break stuff) but I think they could use a few more chairs. They have a couple kids menu options (nuggets and burger) but I think the main menu has better options if your kids will eat chicken or falafel or cheese bread or hummus, etc. They also have smoothies -- my daughter devoured her berry smoothie. PARKING: The lot is medium-sized but it's shared with a lot of businesses (including multiple restaurants) so it's actually kind of small given the context. No issue during slower times but probably tougher to snag a spot during peak dining hours.
