I hate to do this because I have been grabbing dinner takeout from Zorbas for over 10 yrs now since I work close by ... but the food quality really just has gone down hill - a bit after their pandemic re-open and more especially within the past several months. Affordable with large adult portions and my kids love the Kid's Gyro plate. First started with a change to heavily pureed babaganoush. No big deal, just mix it in with the always-been-dry but tasty tabbouleh. Then the lemon soup seem to skimp on the chicken. But then last year the gyro meat supplier definitely changed to a more chewy texture and blander taste. Kids still liked it and still affordable so kept going back. But then last Thurs I got my usual combo platter and the chicken this time is rubbery under the seasoning. After eating about 1/2 of that it dawned on me that means it's likely undercooked so tossed that and just finished off the gyro side ... coincidentally, 24 hours or so later I got diagnosed with salmonella food poisoning that took 5 days to recover Keeping an extra star bc never know for sure if it was them but no matter that the quality has definitely dropped off. read more

Such an easy in and out fix for my gyro meat cravings. I always get the Gyro plate with spinach and cheese pies for my sides. The staff is fine. Not overly friendly but not rude. Most don't speak a lot of English so that can be hard. Inside could use some spiffing up even maybe a deep clean. It always smells like fabuloso though. Today was NOT good. I assume the gyro meat is all the same but today is was very light in color, cut very thin and tased like ham. I couldn't stomach it. I tried to ask them about it but they just kept repeating lamb and beef mix. But I've been going to multiple locations for over 20 years and I've never seen it look like this or taste like this. I actually really liked my meal today. I ordered the combo plate. I got gyro and chicken along with 3 sides, which I ordered humus, rice and a stew. It came with a greek salad and pita bread. Good flavor with a lot of food. You order at the counter where they prepare it on the spot and you pay...done! They do offer take-out too and are asked when you order. I'm from Chicago and this was one of the best gyros that I've had in a long time. Went for a quick lunch with my team and there was a line to the door. The line moved very quickly, and we were served before we knew it. I got the gyro wrap with french fries. The wrap included lamb and was topped with tadziki, tomato, lettuce, red onion and cucumber. It was the perfect amount of sauce, and the meat had an amazing flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Would definitely recommend for a quick lunch and can't wait to return! read more

We absolutely adore Zorbas! The portions are huge and the food is delicious, definitely worth the money. I always end up with leftovers for lunch the next day. I decided to try the chicken and spinach entree, mainly because I love Zorba's spinach. Honestly, I could eat a whole meal of just the spinach, it's that good! The pita bread is soft, warm, and fluffy - perfect for dipping in hummus or tzatziki, or wrapping some chicken in. I also tried the Lemon soup for the first time and I will definitely be ordering it again. We did have a small issue with my entree choices - I received the standard sides instead of the ones I had selected. Was craving greek food so I stopped in to Zorba and got a combo plate to-go. The service was nice, friendly and fast. While looking at the menu I noticed quite a few good lunch specials so I'll more than likely be back for lunch one day. The combo plate was super filling and good. I preferred the gyro meat to the chicken but both were delish. My favorite from this meal was the lemon chicken soup... so good! But there were more drawbacks here that make me not want to come back. Let's start with the delivery fee???? Unfortunately I didn't see this charge until after I left. But I have a delivery charge for walking in and placing a to go order. Where were you delivering to?? A table inside of YOUR restaurant?? Uh hello?? This alone makes me not want to come back because you tack on ridiculous charges. If I can't trust you with my bill I definitely cannot trust you with my food. Falafel was so good I'm honestly disappointed you only provide one. Why? It's not like it's a good sized patty it's flat it's not big at all. I finished it in seconds. And the baba Ghanouj. I was not a fan of this place, my friend loves it and brought me here. Personally the cafeteria style food service had me excited thinking it looked really good, however, it was lukewarm. The mash potatoes tasted like instant mix and were gross. The chicken was super dry. The soup was ok but nothing special. Overall everything was just not authentic tasting or particularly flavorful. So I get greek food when I can. Which brought me to Zorba. My husband had to run in the pool store next door and when I saw Zorba I started thinking a greek salad was going to be my dinner. Second dinner actually. I was still hungry after eating my homemade dinner. I ordered the Combo salad minus tomatoes. Asked for both the tziki and house dressing. Lindsay took my order and suggested this salad. I was only going to get chicken but she assured me the combo salad was where it is at. So glad she did. The gyro meat is so tasty and tender. The chicken was also very tasty! I like both of the dressings but the tziki was my favorite. Plus when she handed me the bag I could tell it was going to be enough for two meals. And it was. They loaded the salad up with meat, I mean a major amount of it. Next time I'll order it on the side, with extra feta. I'm saving the extra meat to make a wrap with it tomorrow. The food is delicious, every time. The dishes are plentiful and a good value, and the people are friendly, polite, and respectful. On the other hand, there's room for improvement about getting orders to-go accurate. We told the cashier taking our order that my wife has food allergies, specifically to dairy. We got home and found tzatziki poured all over the top. It was disappointing, but my wife was able to wash most of her food off in the sink. We'll be back, but we'll be checking before we leave.
