The last time I was in the OBX and wanted pizza, the guy who was cleaning the pool at our rental house recommended Cosmos Pizza in Corolla. He was stoned out of his gourd, so I figured he knew where to get good pizza. He wasn't wrong; however, he failed to mention Pizzaz Pizza, which was only a half mile from our rental (Hey! I used a semi-colon!) So I was going to order my medium pepperoni and mushroom pie and run over to Growlers To Go (40 strides away from Pizzaz) and have a few beers while I waited . The guy behind the counter said it would only be 10 minutes, so I decided to wait for my pizza - after all, I'd only be able to get three beers down in that amount of time. Well, he was right- I had my pizza in 10 minutes. Now, this was off season in November and the place was empty, so don't hold me to wait times in July. The pizza was really, really good. An ample amount of toppings and cheese, red sauce with a hint of sweetness and a nice, crispy crust. It was even delicious when I reheated it in the oven the next day. The price, I guess, wasn't terrible- $17 for a medium 2 topping. If you're staying in Duck, you don't need to go any further than Pizzaz for your pizza craving. read more

Love this place. They deliver, even when traffic on Duck Rd is awful, they're always super friendly on the phone & their pizza & subs are terrific. Nothing fancy, but the crust is crisp & delicious, the red sauce had just the right amount of zip. And the prices are reasonable, which is a bonus with all the expensive restaurants in town. They have a lunch buffet which sounds like a great deal, but I haven't been yet. Seriously, this place deserves more than 3 stars. read more

Fastest delivery ever!!!! Extremely impressed with our pizza delivered hot and great. Delivery driver called 17 minutes after we ordered and let us know they were driving on our street for our delivery. They forgot to give us the packets of ranch we asked for but the pizza was so hot and yummy we didn't even care. They even called us while we were eating to tell us they forgot to give us our ranch and they were on our street to bring it to us, but we told them we were good without it. We usually get Duck Pizza but we have ordered lately from Pizzazz Pizza and like it. The toppings are average, but I like the crust. It is crunchy. My family are not huge fans but like it nonetheless. I am planning to return. Some nights are busier than others, so we ordered in the off season and it took about 25 minutes but they were busy. They do have a few tables for dining in, it appeared, during COVID. Staff is friendly. read more

Maskless staff (a few had masks hanging off their chins but unfortunately not anywhere that would do any good at all). Including the cashier! Shoulder to shoulder customers in a tiny space. Would note that each of the customers were wearing a mask. Wish the staff had taken the hint. Would have made a lot of sense to (I) have staff wear masks and (ii) have customers wait in ample outdoor space while they waited for their pizzas. But that would have required a modicum of responsibility. We are vacationing in the outterbanks and after driving 12 plus hours pizza seemed good! Although there was a two hour wait I felt that was realistic because of all the other families coming. Came here for lunch and so happy we found this hidden gem. We actually got a buffet pizza for 7.99 and it came with a drink. My husband ate a slice of each pizza which was about six different ones. Highly highly recommend, it was so tasty and freshly made. We also ordered wings and they were also delicious! This place is so affordable and has some of the best pizza I've ever tried. read more

Didn't get food for another TWO hours because an oven was broken. These things happen, but like.....stop taking orders so you can catch up or at least give people accurate wait times so they know what to except. 0/10 would not recommend!! Stayed in a house down the street from this dump with 10 people and 2 children. Ordered 3 pies, 2 dozen wings, and 2 salads at 6:30pm. Was told 45 minutes for pickup. Arrived at 7:15 and was told an oven was broken so they were backed up and would be another 20 minutes. Went back at 7:35 and was told it would be another 25-30 minutes. Waited in the restaurant amongst others and didn't get our food until 8:30pm. The salads were sitting the entire time. I understand things happen sometimes, but lying to customers when you clearly cannot uphold the times that were given is a scumbag move. I asked the manager to adjust my payment which I had already prepaid and included a tip when I ordered. He argued with me that he wasn't able to adjust anything, threw the receipt back at me, and walked away. 5 minutes later he came back and offered to take the order of wings off my order. This was roughly the same amount as the tip I had requested to be removed from my payment. I really wish they would have just been honest and told us how backed up they really were. Instead they made me, my entire house including children, and a whole bunch of other people wait 2+ hours for some below average pizza (Domino's would have been a better option) and soggy salad. Awful awful way to run a business and I truly hope they change their ways. I will never go back here and will tell anyone I know from now until I perish to avoid this place when visiting Duck, NC. I really did not like their pizza. My family and I randomly came her after the other pizza shop we were going to go to wasn't open yet. That was a mistake we should of waited for the other place. The pizza here was very flavorless. Tasted almost like frozen pizza. The crust was like cardboard and the sauce gave me and my family heart burn the rest of the day. Having few groceries at the time, we ordered pizza here during our first night in Duck. It took only twenty minutes and was surprisingly good. The main vote comes from the kids, who said, "Great pizza! Where did you get this?" The restaurant itself is nothing to write home about. Interior is very small and specialized toward delivery/pickup, and not as much on eating in. Fast, delicious pizza and some of the best crust I've ever had. I've had Pizzazz for many years during my trips to OBX. Now, I am lucky enough to have this Pizzazz in Duck right down the road from my parent's house. We usually get the same pizza everytime, the 3 cheese and Chicken White pizza. Damn, thats a good pie. I'm not sure why the reviews are so negative but I can imagine that they are from other tourists who have way too high of expectations. Look, this is a pizza place what the hell do you expect? Most of the people working there are young and grew up a more laid-back lifestyle. Don't expect much more than a bunch of chill kids who are able to turn out a great pizza. We ordered their supreme and their three cheese white pizza. Both were very good. We liked the crust and all of the flavors. We went there but they offer delivery and carry out. We ordered a Greek salad and a typical 4-topping medium pizza. Salad was brought promptly and was satisfactory. The pizza arrived soon after missing a topping. As I went to mention this, the cook/manager ? Had recognized the error and offered to make us a new pizza - and we could keep the one we were served. Nice gesture! We replied that wasn't necessary, just bring the missing topping. He did. My wife liked the pizza. I thought it was too greasy and ordinary. On my own, I'd give it 2 stars. We ordered from this pizza joint upon arriving in Duck after a day of being stuck in traffic coming from MD. It was just what the doctor ordered. The pizza was just cheesy and greasy enough. We ordered half cheese and half cheese & sausage and were told it would take 1.5 hours, which I thought was pretty good considering all the families arriving that day, but it arrived in about 40 minutes which was a nice surprise. We ordered the same pizza a 2nd time later in the week and added garlic, cheesy bread to the order and I highly recommend it. Delivery was just as fast (if not faster) that time around. Very solid pizza place that gets a lot of business in Duck. Make sure to find the coupons they always have in Sunny Day magazines. I have no issues with their pizza. Vacationing in outer banks and ordered food to be delivered. The delivery was quick, the driveway we was polite and friendly. The food was good. We ordered pepperoni and plain pizza which is not line. We york style crust but more like pan pizza from dominos or Pizza Hut. But it was delicious. Cooked perfectly. We ordered French fries which were thin fries cooked perfectly. We ordered chicken fingers and Buffalo wings all of which were good. So I would recommend this place to eat.
