This place is awesome ! We ordered take out but wow the portion size is very generous and it's one of the places in the city where you can get Detroit style pizza ! We got the "Don" Detroit style and it was delicious with the hot honey! We added the red chilli pepper on top n it's was perfect and very nice dough ! Also the portions are huge so well worth the 30 dollars for 2-3 ppl! We also tried the wings n got the mango Haberno and portions are also gigantic as well! Well worth 13 bucks for 10 wings ! The house salad is a good pairing as well. We usually go to Pauli g for Detroit style pizza but this is gonna be one of new fav places to also go as well!

I'm not sure what happened...we loved pizza boy and ordered from here all the time. The last few times have been so disappointing. We ordered delivery this past Friday and was told it would be 45minutes to an hour...an hour and 15 minutes later we called to see where our pizza was...we were told it's on the way...we got it finally, an hour and a half after we ordered it! This has happened often when we ordered delivery. The pizza had little to no flavor, and the cheese curds are not as good as they once were... I like to spend my $ on neighborhood restaurants, but I don't know if we can order from here again. The worst was ordering the cheese curds the other night and finding fried/breaded mushrooms mixed in. My children were not happy. My husband thought it was bad cheese until I looked closely and could smell the mushroom.... Just disappointed in the decline of food quality

Pizza was okay. We just picked from the ready made slices available that day. My kids enjoyed their thin crust pizzas. I had a nonna's pie. It was very crispy and had hot honey drizzled. It's a very large space with good amount of seating. It looks like they also have a party room. The service was very good.

We went in for pizza by the slice. My daughters loved the thin crust. I had the Detroit style. I thought it was good not great. I would give it another try but I don't think I would get the Detroit style again. Service was good. And the restaurant was clean.

I'm so glad we decided to order from here! I wasn't sure, to be honest. I don't think of Edison Park as a hotbed of great pizza, especially a place that seems like it's out to be hip and instaworthy, but that's my mistake. I wanted to try the Detroit style pizza, which I've only had once in Detroit and didn't know there were places around here that made it. We got the Sweetheat. Pineapple was a favorite pizza topping when I was little, but I haven't been as keen on it in many years; however, it worked really well on this pizza. I've never had banana peppers, but the ingredients of this pizza are a great combination. In the Detroit style version it comes with hot honey as well, but we decided to leave it out since honey isn't something I'm especially fond of and we wanted to keep the possible mess to a minimum. I'd be curious to try it sometime with the honey, though I doubt they sell it by the slice... perhaps if I order again I'll ask for the honey only on part of the pizza. We also ordered some appetizers, fried mushrooms and garlic knots. Neither were great. I think I misunderstood and thought the garlic knots had cheese in them. And the mushrooms aren't my thing but they unexpectedly came with a dusting of parmesan cheese, which my partner doesn't like, so we had to pick around that and only about half of it was eaten. Definitely would skip the garlic knots next time and possibly the mushrooms (or at least ask that they leave the garnish off). They delivered, which thrilled me since I didn't want to have to go pick it up, especially now that the time change has occurred and it gets dark at 2pm (I feel like it's time to hibernate once the sun goes down). The estimate I was given was almost two hours, which I was actually fine with since it was a Friday night and it wouldn't surprise me that they'd be busy, but it came within an hour so that was another happy surprise. If you're a pizza connoisseur or just want to try something new, Pizzaboy is worth your time.

Dropped by for some thin crust slices and couldn't have been more surprised by the quality. Nice crunch, saltiness, good chew from the cheese. The thin crust is a must and the only thing I would be returning for. The deep dish I found to be too heavy and you're just eating the bread. Garlic knots had good flavor, but once again, too much bread. Stick with the thin crust and you'll be rewarded with the perfect ratio of crust to topping and a satisfying crunch.

My daughter and I are HUGE fans of Smothered! We had to stop and eat at Pizzaboy when we were visiting Chicago on 3/4/25. The pizza was delicious and the garlic knots were amazing. Carlo came out and said hi. We were speechless and so excited to meet him. The entire experience was so much fun. We were smothered at Pizzaboy.

This place has great pizza, including a super thin crust that is thinner than a tortilla and yet still stands up to the sauce and cheese. It's not listed on their online menu but you can see it on their sit down menu. I had one of their ready slices which was very good they had a pretty decent selection at the front and it included a good variety including a NY style, a pan option, and a Detroit style. There was so much I wanted to try, including the Panzerotti and garlic knots we'll definitely have to come back. There was plenty of street parking when we got there but it seemed to fill up pretty quickly as dinner time rolled by as there are a number of other bars and restaurants in the area. Service was very friendly!

The pizza was good. Typical crispy crust pizza with pretty decent ingredients. I personally didn't enjoy the waffle fries with cheese and marinara sauce. Their version of loaded fries. The wings were actually very good. I highly recommend them. The only thing I can complain about was the price. 2 pies, wings and side order of fries was $90. Not the best pricing but understandable in the location.

Local pizza house offered up slices for my afternoon snack. 1 sausage and one pepperoni. It was ok. These were barely heated up by dizzy girlstaff. Price was high at nearly $11 for 2 slices. Pizza was passable but hard to rate lukewarm pizza. Place might be for real--I'm not sure. read more

We were running late for a flight out of O'Hare and wanted to get one last pizza fix before we left. We thoughtfully called in ahead and placed our order and they had it ready for us at the time mentioned. Exceptional service! Our food was amazing! We have been waiting for this place to open forever!! We ordered pizza and wings. Both were super good! Thin crust was crispy and light. Only complaint is that the pepperoni is chopped up really finely and hard to taste in the pizza. Definitely will be ordering again. Would love to try the Detroit style next! read more

How can you call yourself a neighborhood without a pizza joint? Edison Park doesn't have to worry, they have Pizzaboy! You can eat in (inside or outside) or take it with you. The pizza never disappoints. My boys especially like the little ball of dough they get sometimes when we order. Pizza, dough nuggets, salads...they got you covered. read more

Came here with my family to celebrate my brothers birthday lets just say this is one of the best thin crust pizzas i have ever had the sauce was fantastic ingredients were super fresh. We also tried the Detroit style pizza the pepperoni was so THICK and crisp so good! And the appetizers were also delicious we ordered fries mozzarella sticks jalapeño poppers and cheese curds and also a garden salad and you can tell it was fresh with the crisp cucumber and lettuce. And for dessert we had some cannolis so good! We came all the way from the southwest side of Chicago near Midway just to try it out and we will come back again the staff was friendly place was super clean. Only suggestion i have for the owner maybe some bigger tables because your portions are huge!! Which is fantastic and the price is very fair. Thank you pizza boy we will be back soon read more

Amazing, simply the best out in Edison park. The customized pizza slices tasted so good left my mouth wanting more however my stomach couldn't do more. The breaded mushroom are freshly prepared as well. I'll definitely be back as this is my new go to spot. read more

The sweet heat Detroit style pizza has become my absolute favorite pizza. I was in town for work, and found myself extending my layovers in Chicago just to go get some of this pizza. If you haven't tried it, it is probably the one of the best if not the best pizzas I've had. read more

We are from Las Vegas, so obviously wouldn't have known about this place without seeing the show... we happened to be in town and of course were wanting to try it. Located in a cute lil suburb of Chicago. Super friendly staff. Food came out and well exceeded our expectations! The owner was there and came out and checked on us and several other tables. Ordered the first time after reading many great reviews! We are always on the hunt for a great extra thin crust ! We found that at pizza boy!! We ate 1/2 the pizza and shared the other half with our son and his family the next day! They gave 2 thumbs up! Would have been a solid 5 but the curly fries were run of the mill and the wings were , tho very tasty, over cooked! Prices were reasonable and the delivery was right on point! Will gladly order again! read more

Being open only a few weeks this place runs like it's been there for 30 years! Drove by and seen the pizza on display in the window and made the fastest U-turn ever! Had a slice of the Detroit with pepperoni and sausage and drizzled mikes honey on it. Order 10 chicken drums and those were the best legs I have ever kissed! Cant wait to go back! read more

Our family goes to PIZZABOY sometimes twice a week but for sure every Friday for Pizza, fries, mozzarella sticks everything is DELICIOUS. The only disappointment was when I got charged 75 cent per little cup of ketchup for our fries, when I ask the counter staff she mentioned to me that they charge for condiments to make a long story short the owner had her give me back $1.50 PS WE LOVE PIZZABOY! ************* read more

Placed an order on July 4 in their online system, tipped driver, delivery estimate at 7:24. Turns out they were closed. Still put a charge on my credit card. No answer on phone for a couple of days. Spoke to them twice once I was able to get hold of them. Two weeks in a row they promised to refund the charge/ So far, nothing. Meh. Did not think it was good. Service was great when I picked up our order but the food was disappointing. The Detroit style pizza was not cooked well. It was cooked very unevenly. Burnt on the edges, and wasn't crisped on the rest of the pizza. It seemed soggy in some spots. Plus the sauce and toppings were lack luster. Sauce really had no flavor and was bland, and the sasuage they use had a odd consistency and flavor. I am all for supporting a small business but we just didn't think it was good. read more

Unfortunately, I had already eaten before stopping by Pizzaboy Pizzeria, but I really came by because I'm a huge fan of Smothered & familiar with Edison Park. I walked by and saw Carlo in the window & was excited to meet him. I ended up meeting Cristina AND Carlo- bonus! Unfortunately, I just missed her mom, Kathy. They are both so down to earth and sweet! Such a treat to my visit to Chicago! If I had to rate the front desk young lady- well- honestly she sucked, 0 stars, her attitude & looks while I was excited & starstruck meeting Cristina were ridiculously rude & obnoxious. She was trying to get Cristina's attention to laugh about my reaction. It's ok- she's only about 12- she'll learn how to be professional & appropriate. read more

Great tasting pizza! We ordered their pan pizza and it was delicious. Ingredients on the pizza tasted very fresh and crust was cooked perfectly. Called after being on hold with Pizza Hut for 15 Minutes without being able to talk to a human. Answered phone on first ring! Picked up the in 30 minutes. Pizza was fantastic, great dough, sauce and cheese. Kathy was very gracious and friendly. Had to comment on my last name, which is BABE! Asked about my wife's name (Chrisor Babe). So happy to have a new great Italian pizzeria in the area. Everyone please do not hesitate to order from them. Turned my bad night into a good one. read more

It just looks like a normal pizzeria but when you get inside it has amazing staff they are super nice and they even gave my three kids pizza dough to play with! On the weekend they rent it out for make your own pizza parties! read more

When you walk in the smell of fresh pizza smacks you in the face and immediately makes your mouth water! Best thin crust in town! Plenty of toppings and full of flavor! The owners are amazing individuals that care about their customers! Their wings are amazing! The honey garlic I believe the flavor is, was out of this world! Their Gelato is to die for! Also, if you're not getting mikes hot honey with ya pies you're missing out! read more

So we know this spot because of the TV show, but the food did not disappoint. I went for the Detroit style, and it was delicious! Crispy pepperoni and a crusty cheese crust! Also you must get some gelato!! Christina & Kathy were working and so friendly. Didn't even bat an eye when we ask for pics! We went for the show but will go back for the food !! read more

I heard of this place from a friend who recommended it. So the other day I decided it was pizza night and I gave them a try. I ordered a prosciutto, arugula, and fresh mozzarella pizza. I now have a new regular pizza spot. They did a fantastic job.The place looks great and I ate way too much pizza simply because I kept coming back for more slices. I craved the leftovers. Give them a try. The food is great and so is the service. read more

Up until tonight, my experiences had always been positive and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, this visit was more than disappointing. I ordered a salad I've had at least a dozen times before, accept I added grilled chicken on top. I live for this salad and was just there maybe three weeks ago. Unaware that they have changed their menu, I ordered as usual. The name of the salad has not changed on the menu, but apparently the ingredients had been completely altered. When the dish arrived, to my surprise, it was drastically different and not something I enjoyed at all. I politely informed our server, who was kind and accommodating, and offered to replace the dish. However, it was now 6 p.m. we had tickets to see The Wiz at 7 p.m. and didn't have time to wait for another order, which I also informed her. I asked if the salad could be removed from the bill since it was essentially untouched. The server checked with the owner, who refused to remove the $30 salad or offer any kind of discount. When a restaurant changes a dish but keeps the same name, it creates a reasonable expectation for returning customers. When that expectation isn't met, basic customer service should step in. What makes this even more frustrating is that the restaurant was willing to prepare an entirely new dish, but not willing to remove the uneaten one from the bill. That simply isn't logical. If you're prepared to replace an item, it clearly acknowledges there was an issue, so refusing to comp or adjust the original charge is unreasonable. That decision was extremely disappointing. I, in-turn made the decision to eat only the additional grilled chicken on top, leaving the rest of the salad, paying the full bill and promptly getting out of there so we could be on time for our show. The only positive part of the experience was our server, who handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Sadly, the new menu leaves much to be desired and this experience has cost Peanut Park my business and my referrals going forward.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience due to the consistently poor service I received. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that customer care was not a priority. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. I waited far too long just to be acknowledged, and even then, I was met with an unfriendly attitude. My questions were met with vague answers or dismissiveness, and there was no effort to offer any real help or courtesy. What was most frustrating was the lack of accountability--no apologies for the delays or confusion, and certainly no effort to make the experience better. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. It's disappointing when a business doesn't take pride in providing even the basics of good service. Holy cow their garlic knots are out of this world! I've been a huge fan of their pizza since they opened - best thin crust and also like the specialty Detroit style slices like the BBQ chicken. We recently tried their garlic knots and they are to die for. Dough is made from scratch - chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside.
