Best in town from my childhood. I no longer live in the are but I drive 45 minutes to an hour just to get a pie from here.

So I order 2 pizzas for delivery. One is perfectly fine but the other has no sausage. The only way I found this out is by trying it obviously! I immediately called the place and the unpleasant person on the phone tells me we cant send you a new one done correctly this time because you have to return a full pie. How would I know it wasn't done right unless I tried it? Bad business behavior and thats how to lose a loyal customer! read more

I've been going here for almost 10 years. Pizza is great but my personal favorite item is the buffalo chicken salad. They are never stingy on the toppings (amen...this is unheard of these days!) It is a good sized salad in general and will fill you up. The chicken they use is high quality (that really matters!) versus the cheap stuff with little weird gristle-y bites in it. The service is always speedy and friendly. Atmosphere is low key and casual. Never uptight. We love this place! read more

If you call & order it's cheaper than ordering online from Grubhub their delivery service. Pricing is average I'd say, with a decent size and plenty ingredients. I've been wanting to try this place for a bit because the pizza looked really good and I love super thin crust. I ordered a small cheese pizza for delivery. With delivery charge of $4.50 and a tip, a small pizza came out about $23. Delivery took much longer then the estimated time of 50 minutes. It took about an 1 hour and 20 minutes.... Pizza was okay. Yes it was super thin cracker like crust, but it didn't really have much taste to it. Maybe it's because I only ordered cheese, but I was expecting it to taste like Barnabys pizza for some reason and it sure didn't. We came by this location because it was close to the hotel we were staying at. After having Gino's East and Giordani's this place can't compare. Although the other 2 places were deep dish this place was not even better then Papa John's. We ordered an extra large and had plenty of left over which I never touched and if you know me that's free food I don't pass up. The pizza was lacking flavor nor was the crust even crunchy. I scrapped off the toppings and ate it without the crust. A co worker recommended Al's pizza. When we told him we would travel to the Southside for our favorite style pizza. Which is thin crust sausage & tavern cut. We no longer have to leave our near neighborhood. Al's pizza, hits all our favorite requirements for great pizza. Which is the right balance of cheese and sauce with thin crispy but chewy crust and flavorful sausage (with just the right amount of fat). During Covid 19 we would call in our order and pickup. When I order Al's I keep it simple. Half cheese for the wife and kids. Half Pepperoni for me. It's a very thin pizza. Not the cracker crust you'll get from Vito and Nicks. Crispier towards the crust and a little floppier as you get towards the center. Overall I like this pizza. Not sure what brand of cheese they use but it's that right amount of salty. It's my favorite in the area. Haven't had the stuffed yet but I have to assume it's pretty good. They also have some unique pizzas on the menu. I couldn't give it a 5 for two reasons. One, I would prefer the crust to have a little more crunch or char throughout as it's a little pail at the bottom. Still good though. The other reason is they only offer slices certain times of the day versus other spots in the area that offer slices all day. If Al's offered slices all day I'd be there religiously. read more
