For years I have been ordering trios pizza. I ordered when they reopened and loved the pizza. It was just as I remembered it A couple weeks later, same experience. Loved it Last month I ordered but noticed the sauce was really acidic and not the same. I just figured it was a new pizza chef Tonight I am working late and figured I'd try it again, even after my disappointment from my last experience. This was the worst pizza I've ever had! It was raw ! The dough was like chewing gum and I had pepperoni, mushroom and onion. The onions were completely raw and had a very rancid taste to them. Not to mention that this disaster also cost me $4 more than previous 3 pizzas Gotta say, after this experience, I doubt I'll be ordering from there again

Carry-out pizza joint. It's hard to differentiate the walk-up from other stores since their advertising is dated and the storefront looks like an order window for tax preparation. There's nothing notable about their store. Per the owner they've been around for over 27 years. I may have my numbers wrong, but even over a decade in business is remarkable. However, they have never thought about redecorating? There is no marketable reason why anyone would want to come here. Employees lack charisma & personality. No one is thrilled you stopped by, nor are they concerned with getting to the window in any sort of speed or manner. The carry-out offers thin, pan and stuffed pizza. They also have the typical fried finger foods like mozzarella sticks, mushrooms, onion rings and more. A couple pasta favorites, fried shrimp and a few sandwiches. Unlike other pizza joints they don't offer chicken wings, strange no? I was drawn by the solid reviews. 5 stars? The problem with these reviews is that few detail which pizza is the "really good" kind. A few mentioned stuffed but after a few visits, I'm realizing the best of their pizza is the thin. Sadly, I doubt I'll be trying it anytime soon. My visits till now have been limited to stuffed pizza. The first was back in Nov 2017. Got the Trio's Veggie. Comes with your choice of four veg toppings and I added a protein. I got ground beef, garlic, hot giardiniera, spinach and green peppers. You have to look at photos and determine what you think. The sauce on top has a weird glazed look as if a pastry spatula was used to smooth it over. Outright the sauce looks poured from a can. The tomato sauce has a natural sweetness but not like Pizza Hut. The stuffed also has a large amount of cheese. When reheating slices at home cheese spills out, a lot of it. Surprisingly, the stuffed was pretty tasty. Fast forward to now, June 2018. I returned for a family sized stuffed pie. Again veggie with ground beef. Except this time, onions, garlic, spinach and mushrooms. This time the pizza was revolting! The inside dough layer still raw. The spinach was blah, the garlic cloves whole, undercooked and mushrooms were the worst. Based on its texture and cut I am sure these are canned mushrooms. The worst part was that this was shared at a dinner party and everyone was disappointed with it. I still have 4 slices in the fridge. I find it hard to throw away food. Typically, I'll try to reconstitute it but this is proving to be a feat. I may have to dig out the veggies and cook it well-done and see how it turns out. It's quite distressing how poor this Za turned out. What could have been the difference between the two? I don't know. Both times they had enough time to cook and I picked up during normal business hours. Maybe they are poor with vegetable preparations and best with meats. I get spinach pies at Lou Malnati's & Martino's frequently and they do it stellar... Some might argue, hey.. it was an off pizza, give them another chance. I have over 100 check-ins at Art of Pizza in Lakeview and I've never felt any of those slices were questionable in quality. I wish Trio's the best.. Back to my usual haunts.

Good pizza, we support it because it's a neighborhood place, but look out for the Italian special pie, the peppers are too hot to eat!

We were a little surprised when nothing was done for it, which isn't a big deal, but I'll be honest it was disappointing since we did come specifically to celebrate and had talked about it w our server. 3/5 Arancini - Very salty. None of us really enjoyed them because of that. They also came out lukewarm instead of hot. Would have been excellent if it was less salty and came out hot and crispy. 5/5 Fig & Mushroom (subbed for prosciutto) - The menu doesn't specify how the fig is served. Turned out to be fig jam rather than fresh fig, which wasn't what we expected. A little too sweet for me but overall still very much enjoyed it. Their pizza was cooked perfectly with enough toppings and cheese. Very good pizza! 5/5 Braised Short Rib + Polenta - so good! The short rib was excellent, just slightly salty. The polenta was perfect, and it came with a generous portion of wild mushrooms. 2/5 White Wine Cake (recommended as "unique") by our server - This was the most disappointing meal item. Our waitress told us it was special, but it was very bland and didn't match the description or image on their website. Their website showed a cake with a large scoop of ice cream on top, fair amount of whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Ours came with maybe a quarter of the size of that ice cream scoop, a little teaspoon dollop of whipped cream that you eat in one bite and the raspberry sauce was a tiny smear on bottom for decor but there wasn't enough to actually eat it. The cake itself was moist but lacked flavor. It took a really long time to come out, we thought perhaps they forgot, then forgetting we were celebrating a birthday on top of that was disappointing. Atmosphere - Beautiful space, very well done. The only issue is how close the tables are, you can't pull your chair back without hitting someone, and getting to the bathroom requires asking others to move because of how tight the layout is. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would return. While there were a few dishes we wouldn't order again, and others we would. Would love to try the wild mushroom pizza next time! The only thing was that since we had come to celebrate a birthday and didn't end up doing that, the night felt a little less special than we had expected--but still a nice experience overall.

They have an extensive beverage program here, including mocktails, and that's what I settled on. I got one called Strawberry-Basil something, and it was so good. The strawberry-basil shrub was a key ingredient, and I don't get to a lot of places that use a shrub in their drinks. There was definitely a STRONG vinegar taste but for me, that was great. I also ordered a pasta dish, orecchiette and sausage with peas and a sweet, creamy sauce. Orecchiette and sausage are such a classic combo and I hadn't had this sauce before; it was a pleasant dish and was perfectly al dente. Service was good for the bar area. There's parking around, both in the lot right outside and the public parking lot below. And then of course there's the lots by the library and whatnot, so you should be able to find something.

We're typically turned off from all you could eat restaurants due to the fact that their rice to fish ratio is pretty high. That is not the case here. The sushi rolls are still billed in a very cohesive manner. The flavors hit your palate perfectly and are not buried in rice. They also offer a few lemonade options; I tried the passion fruit lemonade and it was refreshing without being overly sweet. Price-wise, it's slightly higher than I expected: about $17 for a bowl with no premium add-ons and a small drink. But the upside is you're getting a relatively healthy, customizable meal that doesn't leave you feeling weighed down. Overall, a solid choice near the airport if you want something quick, fresh, and moderately healthy. Especially if you're not starving but want better-than-fast-food quality.

And visually? They deliver. The space is bright, modern, and gives fresh lifestyle energy. You walk in thinking you're about to make a smart, feel-good food choice. But here's where things shifted... I arrived about 40 minutes before closing, and unfortunately, the food reflected that timing. My bowl--while generously portioned--lacked that just-made freshness you expect from a concept like this. The steak tasted like it had been sitting for a while, the vegetables were more soft than crisp, and the overall bowl didn't have that hot, vibrant, made-to-order feel. It felt more like end-of-day service than a fresh build experience. The energy at the counter also felt a bit checked out--like the night was already winding down. To be fair: * The concept is strong * The customization is appealing * The branding is on point But when your entire identity is built around "eat well, be well," freshness isn't optional--it's the standard. Would I return? Probably not. Not when the core promise didn't deliver. Final Take: If you're curious, go earlier in the day. This feels like a place where timing could completely change the experience. How did we get here? To a wellness-driven brand... that missed the mark on freshness when it mattered most.
