I've been going here for a long time. Their prices are fair. Very nice people work there. And they also make excellent pizza. I haven't eaten anything else. They have a small seating area. Sometimes people are eating there. Although, that seems more utilitarian than anything. Have never been disappointed with the pizza. It's always hot, loaded with toppings. Great flavors. Good spice on the spicy. Vegetables always and obviously fresh. Crust stays crunchy on the bottom. I know somebody said that this place brings shame to Chicago pizza. I guess that's a matter of opinion. Somebody had an off day. But I've probably ordered from them 25 times in the last couple of years and haven't missed yet. Try the Bubba. Try the Mexican. I'm so happy to have Vini's in the neighborhood! Funny enough, we only tried their pizza for the first time recently when a friend was in town. So great. Before that, my husband and I have loved certain non-pizza items. My husband likes one of their beef sandwiches, and I am a total nut for their gyro burger. It's so good. I find them to be rather fast to get orders ready, and the prices are not too bad. We have never dined in. The seating space is small, and it was closed for a long time, so it may not even be back open since the onset of COVID. Regardless, I'd consider this more of a take-out type place anyway. My second time here. The first time I ordered pizza slices, the slices were OK except for the crust, everything else was fine. This time I tried their sandwiches. I ordered for my friend an Italian Sausage Sandwich with Mozzarella cheese and red gravy and I ordered a "Bubba Beef" which consist of Italian beef that was very tender, Mozzarella cheese, Hot Giardiniera, and red gravy both were really good. I would take a pass on the pizza slices but do try something else, I did and I was pleasantly surprised. I like their Daily Special menu, I'll give them a try too. It seems the Vini's brand or this location changed hands back in 2017 and with it some of their "flavors." I can't quite remember the last time I had any of their pizza but I'm thinking it would have been with the previous owners. Alternately, I have for certain had slices at their other locations which were hit or miss in quality but those slices offered daily would fill an appetite. Pizza slices are offered daily here as well. Commonly found in a rotating rack under heat lamps that leave the slices looking tragic. Checked them out on few occasions recently trying out their deep dish and thin crust pizzas. I think their deep dish can compete with any local brand and it should suit. Same sauce, same crust and same thick, 'throat choking' cheese. Best when served piping hot IMO. Their thin crust has a thickness that rivals a pan pizza. If watching carbs or etc reasons, may be prudent to ask whether they can make a thin, "extra thin." For the sake of knowing I asked whether they offer pan pizza. To that they responded they could create a pan pizza but only if willing to pay twice for the toppings on a specialty pizza. Quick math would mean an extra $10 dollars on any specialty. ($2.50 per topping) Much to high IMO. Their regular pizzas are just that. Pizza. Nothing special there. I'm rating them 4 stars overall because the deep was so good & some of their non-pizza items are decent in quality. Not a fan of their thin pizza, somehow it just doesn't taste as good as the deep dish. Weird. **Side note: When stopping in for a pickup recently I was told they started a special menu for South Indian breakfast items which are available from 5 am to 10 am daily. Their online menu does not mention any of that. Guessing they are adopting cuisines from all the staff and management at work. My love and I have been ordering from Vini's Pizza on occasion during this ol' pandemic, as it is easy to walk to this no-frills neighborhood joint from our home. Vini's is currently dishing out its food for takeout or delivery - no dine in during the pandemic. Amazingly we finally ordered a pizza recently (hey, "Pizza" is in its name after all), and our group of four gave a collective Thumbs Up to the large thin crust pizza with sausage and pepperoni. The thin crust was crispy, and the ingredients were savory without being overly greasy. The "interior" squares tasted good as leftovers the next day. Yesterday I tried the Bubba Beef, a hefty assemblage with Italian beef stacked on a garlic bread roll and topped with melted mozzarella cheese, sweet peppers (or hot peppers), and red sauce. I do not like an Italian beef to be "dipped" and this non-dipped sandwich is moist and messy enough without the extra beef juice. I could not finish this sandwich in one sitting and was glad to enjoy the rest of it as part of my lunch today. I have also tried the BBQ beef sandwich in the recent past and it is also quite tasty. My love has enjoyed the hamburger, gyros sandwich, as well as the gyro burger which comes with a cup of tzatziki sauce. The order of cheese fries can be shared and comes with a cup of cheese sauce. The onion rings are also pretty good. The panzerotti is massive, oozy gooey with cheese and comes out piping hot but it takes quite awhile for them to make so pad your wait time a bit. I'd say skip the fried chicken - perhaps the order of wings might be better. read more

$53 for one pizza is ridiculous, never again. Called to get understanding on the over charge, person claimed to be a manger but was going to have another manager call me back. Cindy who called me back claiming to be the store manager said when substituting ingredients we still have to pay full price for the ingredients and as for the coupon it's deducted after its received?!? Ordered 2 salads and both of them were incorrect. It's not that hard to get salads correct. I asked for no cheese as I am lactose intolerant, and both salads had cheese on them. Asked for no onions and it was loaded with onions. Apparently they don't know their own menu and how to toss together a couple ingredients. And then they have no type of customer service in there at all. Rolling eyes and huffing and puffing yelling at each other about who did what. Just help the customer! Which they didn't do at all. This is a review about the Vini's Pizza on Lawrence Avenue 4009 W. Lawrence across the street from Walgreens. I had been ordering from this place since 2017, it was a fantastic place to order food from, the salads and pizza was excellent to include their customer service. They must have changed ownership after COVID. During COVID, I would order from them all the time, after COVID, the customer service went south and the last problem was with the Owner herself. I stopped ordering from this restaurant 1.5 year's ago and started ordering from (Joe's) on Higgins and I have been a fan of Joe's since then. I decided to order some food last week from Vinni's, I give the food a 3 star rating their pizza dough seem to be very thin and I didn't order thin; today, I attempted to order some food at 9:00 pm. The girl that answered the call was horrible she says "Hello". I called back again the same thing "Hello". Was I calling a residence? I said, "Uh hello, is this Vini's Pizza, she said yes, I asked her why are you answering the call by saying "Hello?" this will confuse people in believing they are calling a residence. She replied, "I did say "Hello, Vinni's Pizza". Seriously now?! How could she have answered the call in that method with those words when the last word was "Hello?" Are you kidding me! I live one minute away, drove there and walked in. Yes, I spewed the biggest complaint to the Owner and I can say that she doesn't care either because the last arguement I had was with the Owner 1.5 year's ago and as she stated "I don't care!" Okay, I started ordering from Joe's on Higgins. That girl's demeanor and look on her face towards the Owner was as if she was not going to get in trouble, smirk smile. A look that not even my kids gave me when they were in grammar school being called on the carpet by the Principle. I do not recommend anybody to order from this place in the Mayfair community unless you are not coherent and it's your last resort. I have heard several complaints from some managers from a nearby businesses that stopped ordering from Vini's Pizza located at 4009 W. Lawrence Avenue, in Chicago, unless it's your last resort. We have been supporting this restaurant since 2017, I stopped after COVID on ordering from them; and they give us horrible customer service. They shouldn't even be in business. I hope that Joe's on Higgins comes into our Mayfair community and opens their doors, it would be the best place to order food, wine and dine too; a lot of class and excellnet Gelato to include customer service. read more

We were excited to try out Vini's tonight for the first time. We ordered a gyro platter, 2 cannolis, and a chicken parm sandwich, all with fries and drinks. First thing we noticed once we got home was they had completely forgotten to give us the cannolis. Then we opened up the food and found out $36 meal was just a bunch of frozen boxed meat heated up and bagged. The gyro was repulsive and barely had any toppings to be considered a "platter." The chicken parm was goopy and dry. Word of advice, if you want a quick dinner for a fraction of the price go two blocks down to the freezer section of Aldi... it would certainly be better! read more

Tried out Vini's last night and ordered a large pizza, mozzarella sticks, and cheesecake. Overall the pizza was pretty damn delicious, mozzarella sticks on point, but the cheesecake was just an overpriced slice of Eli's Cheesecake. I initially ordered through Grubhub, but long story short, they messed everything up and after 40 minutes on the phone with GH and then the restaurant.... The restaurant helped me out and fixed the problem the old fashioned way. They remedied a situation GH appears to have created, and i am very grateful for their excellent customer service!!! I came to Vini's Pizza because they were the only place in the area that's sold Pizza by the slice that wasn't a chain. I ordered a slice of their pepperoni and a slice of their sausage combo and I definitely only needed one slice of pizza. Their slices are hefty and packed loaded with cheese! Their crust is also crispy and buttery. A combo with a slice of pizza fries and drink for six dollars is a steal! The people there were great as well. They were so nice they even invited me to see their fridge and how fresh the dough and ingredients were. Highly recommend if you're in the area. read more

Finally tried out this place after two different recommendations. It was decent, the food was hot. The driver mishandled the pizza so it slid around a bit, not ideal when ordering pizza for delivery. I enjoyed the sausage on the pizza but the pepperoni or sauce made it a bit salty. The crust was doughy with a nice crisp bottom. For the cost and special deal they have, its worth it. However the Buffalo wings were pretty bad, seemed reheated to hell and flabby. Stick with the French fries. But the Cesar salad saved the day, really fresh clean lettuce and a tasty dressing. We order the grub hub delivery the other night. The driver was the nicest guy very friendly & helpful ensuring I had all the food secure in the arms so I didn't drop it. The pizza was cheese it was fine the sauce was kind of to sweet for us but crust was good & they didn't skip on the cheese. We also order the lasagna which was on special it came with fresh bread the portion was huge & again plenty cheese. The sauce was very sweet. I guess it preference some might like sweet sauce or possibly they put to much sugar when making the sauce this night. Overall decent food with good specials. Mayfair's best kept secret for hot wings, when Vini's prepares this american classic appetizer, they got it down to a science! You get a lot of meat and a crispy breading despite the sauce bath they receive. I like the buffalo sauce because it has the right kind of heat/flavor combination, only to be properly cooled down with their tasty dipping sauces they offer. You can also get BBQ or plain wings, but I wish there was a mango habanero. If you're huge into dipping sauces like I am, then you need to know Vini's has the best ranch and blue cheese dipping sauce. You know when you go other places, the quality of the dipping sauce can ruin everything. You can have your order delivered, but I always pick up my orders. You should visit their kitchen anyway. For the small space, it's always clean and the staff is very friendly! They also speak Spanish! I really love this little spot. One day I will try their pizza. For now I am on a low-carb diet. Not that wings make it any better! The one challenge you have when you visit Vini's, is the parking. If it's after hours, I usually swing into the 5/3rd bank parking lot to pick up my order, but I wouldn't park there for very long. Not if you're going to eat here. Bacon. When you order a meat lover's pizza, usually you'll get a pie stacked with pepperoni, sausage, maybe some bacon or ham. Here at Vini's Pizza, they will load this pie up with bacon the way you'd do it if you were making your own pizza. Every bite of pie is crisp and topped off with a bodacious layer of bacon. I ordered delivery via GrubHub so I wouldn't have to make any phone calls and the delivery came 10 minutes earlier than the projected time. 3.5 Stars. After being shut out (ignored) at Maries Pizza down the street, hubby and I walked in here last Friday night. Just like their location in LP, you can opt for a slice instead of the whole pizza. I think it was approximately $6 for 2 slices, which also comes with 2 cans of soda. Decent stuff, generous slices, and a friendly staff. When in the mood for some quick slices to go, I'd definitely consider returning to Vinis. read more
