First time for Lonnie's, will definitely be back. The toppings were very good. Not as greasy as Barnaby's (my gage for Chicago tavern style pizza...), but that's not necessarily a good thing in pizzaland. Good quantity and tasty toppings. The crust could have a little more flavor and be a bit more done - kind of tastes like Giordano's crust, in a good way. They made an exception for my pregnant wife's craving for French fries. Fired up the fryers, cut a couple fresh potatoes and added them to my order. Highly disappointed in this place. We picked Lonnie's because it's close to our home and because of the good reviews. Those reviews were very misleading. We ordered a large pizza and wings. The wings were TERRIBLE, the amount of breading and fat I had to take off just to get to a piece of meat was insane not to mention it was extremely salty. EXTREMELY SALTY. The sausage side of our pizza was okay, the pepperoni side was terrible. If Lonnies is going to cut their pepperoni like that the least they can do is distribute it evenly, their were slices stacked on top of each other so one bite I would have a lot of pepperoni and the next few bites it would just be cheese. Overall I give this place a 2 out of 10, customer service was good but the food was disappointing. I do not recommend this place. read more

Finally stopped by for some slices. The places is a tiny little place the size of a rich mans closet but they make a decent pizza. I wouldn't dine in if that's what your planning but carry out and delivery should be fine. The pizza is good, a little greasy, just enough. The sauce is good and so is he cheese, not overpowering. I really like the taste of the crust but I just wish the crust was a bit more crispy. That's the only thing I'm not liking about the pizza, the crust just flips down when you pick up a slice. We are not from here and we were looking for something good to eat for our over night stay and this place was getting 4 stars I don't know how. The hotel has a restaurant but is closed on Sunday's and Monday's go figure. This place was NOT the place to order from. Our chicken strips were not real chicken and we got a large salad which cost 6.95 it was mostly lettuce with a few cut up tomatoes and 7 olives and the most minimal amount of onion. and to top it off it was delivered with no eating utensils. I really like their pizza. The slice is 3.75 and a big slice. The service is great. But they have no parking its a super pain to try and double park run in and run out. The whole time hopeing you dont get some kind of parking ticket. Most of the people that run in park on the public sidewalk and run in.I wish they had a parking lot. With that said i pre call a order in i make sure to wait a bit more than the quoted time and run in and take it to the forest preserve down the street enjoy a nice day and great pizza. We're from out of town. Washington state to be exact. We were recommended this pizza at a bulls game before we leave in the morning. Not only was the pizza amazing but they delivered it for us down the road at the local bar The Draft which was also a very nice place to wait for the pizza. The pizza was hot, crisp and loaded with toppings. Probably one of the top pizzas I've ever had. Even though I'm not from here I definitely recommend. Can't imagine a better pizza around.
