I was excited to check out Caffe Pronto, as we had lunch in the area, and wanted to have a caffeine fix before heading home. The menu offers various espresso drinks, tea, sandwiches, and desserts; they also have various packaged snacks and such you could purchase around the counter. We ordered the Latte with almond milk and a Mocha - both were just not drinkable at all - it had an unpleasant bitter and grainy taste to it, and we just couldn't see the hype on this place. Service was friendly, and there were some seating inside as well as some tables in front of the cafe; unfortunately, we just couldn't dine in either option since it just reeked of cigarettes. Caffè Pronto is a small Italian cafe on Cumberland. When sitting inside you may feel like you are overseas. They also have a small outdoor seating area. Nice little coffee shop, with a small business vibe. If you're looking for something different than a Starbucks or Panera, with character and warmness, come check out Caffè Pronto. When we came here, there was a group of local immigrants gathering around the big screen TV, watching the soccer (I'm sorry... I mean football) game. Not into coffee? That's fine. They have great desserts, like cake and pie, and gelato and tea. The person behind the counter was super friendly and nice. I can't believe it's taking me so long to go here even though I passed this little gem of an Italian Cafe on my way to work everyday. The owner was so nice and accommodating. We came here on a Sunday and there was a good crowd, great community feel and atmosphere. I tried the egg cheese, ham croissant and ordered the prosciutto sandwich. I had the coffee mocha and ordered the iced caramel latte. The iced caramel latte was out of this world. I was definitely jealous that I didn't order that. We got a lot of food. Prosciutto sandwich, eggplant sandwich, bear claw, and tiramisu. In all honesty the bear claw was old, there wasn't a lot of toppings on the eggplant sandwich, they forgot our chips, and the tiramisu was frozen when we got it. BUT!!! BUT the prosciutto sandwich was freaking AMAZING, the bear claw tasted better when you heated it up, and once the tiramisu thawed it was also very good. My sandwich was absolutely fantastic and is the main reason I'm giving it 5 stars. I will order this over and over again and will love it forever. We were in the area and wanted to get a quick coffee and breakfast before we start sour day. Due to the great reviews on Yelp, we decided to check out this place. The cafe is situated in a small plaza and the parking lot was full of cars by the time we got there at 10 AM. There's an outdoor patio where many men were gathering and smoking early in their morning with their coffees. The counter was run by one of the co-owners and she was fantastic. It was a super busy day and unfortunately one of her employees was running an hour late so she was manning the entire cafe by herself. I got a cappuccino and my partner got an iced americano, both of which the woman made super quickly before we paid and got a table to wait for our sandwiches. The wait wasn't long at all, considering how it was a one woman show the entire morning! This coffee place is a real gem. I almost don't want to review cause I'd like to keep it secret. This is a real, old fashioned, Italian coffee house/bistro. The ambiance is terrific. If I could fall in love with a business, then this would be one of those places. It brought me back to my travels around Italy, the smaller villages. Now, if you are looking for a crafted coffee drink from a hip coffee shop, you are not going to get that here, and that's ok. There is no attitude from some snotty barista, but you get a great cappuccino or espresso, made with love. They use Kimbo beans, just like you would find in Italy. Small business with all the Italian classics. We came early for some breakfast and coffee. We are not familiar with the area but wanted a local place and we're happy we found this. I had an apricot croissant (flaky, gooey inside) perfect amount for a small breakfast. Husband got a ham, egg and cheese croissant. Although, he would have liked the ham to be warm he ate every morsel. This place is truly Italians' social club: grab some cappuccino, mingle with some strangers, in Italian or in English, or just watch some TV. I can guarantee that you won't be left alone at Caffe Pronto. This is not a coffeeshop for you to get work done; it's a spot to hang out! Coffee is delicious and reasonably priced. I haven't had anything but latte and cappuccino. However, they serve sandwiches and gelato. Parking is plenty, and many of the people are super regulars. I often come with hubby who speaks fluent Italian. While mine is at a very elementary level, I still have fun listening to their conversations and make myself at home. read more

Worth driving out of the way for! Stopped in for a coffee and also enjoyed a fresh apricot croissant. Both were delicious. The place has a friendly and welcoming vibe. Would have been happy to stay and visit as many other patrons were doing, but we had to get to a hockey tournament.
