A breakfast plate featuring an omelette with cheese and vegetables, alongside crispy hash browns with shredded potatoes.

Came here Sunday around noon and waited about 30 minutes. The place was packed. Had the Athenian omelete which was huge and a bit heavy. Overall, a standard diner and you know what you're getting.

Huge parking lot ... nice outside patio dining. The restaurant has an American style menu ... the basics ... meat & potatoes. The food is well prepared and the service is quick and efficient. It is a place that me and my friends patronize from time to time when I visit the Chicagoland area. When in the neighborhood, do drop in and enjoy a pleasant dinning experience.

Service is always Rockstar! My sidekick ordered breakfast and I did lunch items. My sandwich was good...but I think Bennigan's did the Monti Cristo the best. French Onion is the good old classic and was delicious! Ambiance is busy, hot breakfast/lunch spot in the area.

This place was awesome. I've been here for banquets where dishes have been preselected for me, but I got invited to the restaurant section for the first time. Amazing food, very clean and pleasant ambiance, and very friendly and attentive service from our waiter Patrick. I had a Sunday special- half slab of BBQ ribs and country fried chicken. Most restaurants have cut back on portions, but with all it came with I was not able to finish. Great business. Only thing I could add is that I wish they had a vinigarette based dressing.

This was our first time here (visiting). Eric was our server and he gave Great customer service, the food was Delicious and the prices were a little high, ($94 for breakfast items), but it was fine because we treated ourselves to a wonderful experience!

Stopped for a meal before our flight. Wasn't sure if I was in the mood for breakfast or regular food so the diner atmosphere was great. They're specials of the day and I went for one. The prime ribs sliders were okay. A little fatty so hard to eat like a sandwich. Steak fries are always a hit with me. Pea soup with ham and the buttery garlic croutons-should've just gotten a bowl vs a cup of that! He got the American burger. Bacon was thick and porky and the burger was huge so no complaints from him. Also came with steak fries. Staff was quick and friendly. Food came out fast and hot. Bathrooms were clean.

My friend heard that this place has good food, so we decided to try it. Parking near the restaurant is limited. The restaurant is in a strip mall so there is other areas to park but a little ways from the door. When we entered, it was dim not sure if it was supposed to be that way or they did it for lunch. You would think that dimming lights would only be around dinner time, but it was when we entered. There were people waiting for tables, so the entrance was crowded. Good thing we made reservations as we were seated right away. My friend and I were catching up so the waitress had to come by a couple times to check on us to see if we were ready. She didn't rush us, but we felt bad that we were talking more than reviewing the menu. Once our order was placed, we received some warm bread and melted butter. When our food came, it looked delicious. My friend ordered a club sandwich with steak fries and the sandwich looked good. I ordered the Irish Benny with crispy hashbrowns as I requested. I thought the eggs Benedict with the hashbrowns would make it salty, but it wasn't. Overall, we were happy with the service and the food. We didn't think to ask about the lights, but wish it was just a little brighter. Will come back when in the area but make sure to have reservations.

Club sandwich - Two club sandwiches with layers of turkey, bacon, lettuce, and bread, served with a pickle and coleslaw on a white plate.

Our group of 15 (which includes several couples) dines out at least twice a month. Before making a reservation, the first thing we do is ask the restaurant if they will give us separate checks. We had dined at Blossom Café previously and separate checks were never an issue here. Most recently, when we called to confirm our reservation, we were told, "No problem, just inform your server when you arrive." Upon arrival, we told Assistant Manager "K" that we had a reservation. Eying our group, she scowled and gestured at the very busy dining room. Then, looking in her black book, she found our reservation but for unknown reasons it was lined out. The restaurant was not at all prepared to handle us and we had to wait in the crowded entrance for several minutes while staff rearranged tables. Once seated, we reminded our server about the separate checks. He responded, "No, we can't do separate checks! Only one check per table!" We persisted and he trotted off, returning with a defiant Assistant Manager "K." For several very uncomfortable moments, she made a scene shaking her head and stubbornly repeating, "No, we CANNOT do separate checks!" (had all of us gotten up and walked out without ordering, the Café would have been out $400; so much for her ignorance). We persisted and asked to speak with the owner. But the owner was not present. Finally "K" summoned a manager, who grudgingly said, "We'll see what we can do." A botched reservation is one thing, but reneging on agreed-to separate checks is unacceptable. The food and service were really very good (our server "M" was wonderful) ... and ironically the restaurant handled our separate checks efficiently and without error! In the absence of an apology (oh, but "K," bless her generous heart, comped ONE cup of coffee for ONE vocal individual), our group will not be returning to Blossom Café. And, in the absence of an apology, we will inform others how rudely we were treated.

This is an absolute 5 star place for me. I have been here probably 20-30 times before, yet have not…read morereviewed it. Maybe because it already receives so much positive attention, it hardly needs my two cents. But after this latest visit, I decided to "pile on" with my love for this place. First, I must alert you to pay attention to their hours, because they are closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I kicked myself at least once, when I made the 40 minutes drive from home, just to find that I forgot that they were closed that day. This store is a double threat - offering a great take home Italian deli with a plethora of fresh and frozen items for you to prepare at home. This is also a great spot for lunch, with legendary sub sandwiches, and an array of hot dishes to choose from. I often do both. On this visit, from the deli, I picked up some of their marvelous, thinly sliced breaded eggplant, which I always get when I'm there. I bring some to my ex-wife and daughter who love it as well. Just give it a quick cook in the oven, and it's delicious. I also got some of their marvelous breaded potato salad, which is old-fashioned homemade style. From the hot bar, I got a couple of Italian sausage and some meatballs. I buy these ready to eat, but take them home to use for dinners later. That way I don't have to cook them. Obviously, they offer both meatballs and Italian sausage in fresh or frozen as well, which I get when I'm preparing my mom's spaghetti recipe. This time, I decided to try a quart of their frozen Nottoli homemade marinara, which I hadn't tried before. So delicious! I had pasta and spaghetti with sausage that night, and pasta and meatballs the next. On my various trips here, besides the Italian sausage that they are famous for, as well as the meatballs, I like their olives and other salad items, the sandwiches, brocciole, and many other hot Italian dishes for lunch. The rigatoni w/vodka sauce is a killer. Finally, the people have always been wonderful , which is very important to me. Despite being busy, it is well organized and you're in and out of there in no time (or you can sit at the table inside if you want to eat in). The prices are extremely reasonable, and I'm always pleased about the value I get for such a good price. I apologize for no pictures on this review. I always just seem to be focused on my own mouth watering choices, as opposed to a Yelp review when I come here.

At first, I was a little unsure how it worked since there's a service counter, but staff quickly greeted us and showed us to a table. Table service was a pleasant surprise. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, walking us through an impressively extensive menu. I ordered the Double Medianoche--pulled pork, ham, mustard, Swiss cheese, and sweet pickles, all pressed panini‑style. My friend went with the Pan con Croqueta, a ham and cheese sandwich topped with a ham croquette. For anyone unfamiliar (myself included), croquetas are minced pork that's breaded and deep‑fried. Both sandwiches were solid, but the Medianoche was the clear winner for me--warm, flavorful, and perfectly pressed. With so many options on the menu, there's plenty more I want to try. Friendly staff, good food, and a comfortable dine‑in experience. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. There at least two signs advising they will charge 18% gratuity to tables of three or more and will not split checks for three or more.
