I was at the pool with my granddaughter and my daughter who is pregnant across the street from this establishment. We decided oh it's a bakery let's go see what we can get. By the way it's 95 degrees out. As soon as we walked in the vibe was off. We asked the lady at the register if they had ice cream who was rude and said no. So services sucked!' My daughter asked to use the restroom which she then said no it's not a public bathroom and we said well we were going to purchase something she had said no gave an attitude and we walked out. Very cute mom and pop Serbian/Balkan place with a beautiful patio that is partially covered. I tried the stuffed peppers with mashed potatoes and also a shopska salad with bread. Was too full for dessert but I did have a cappuccino! Service was great. read more

Everything is super, whatever you order! My recommendation is clam chowder! It is the best chowder I have ever tried! The trout, mix meat... absolutely everything. Waiting time is short. And salads are always fresh! The only thing they have to improve is space. The place is very small and they can't fit all the guests. Since they are always crowded I think it is time for bigger place. read more

Serbian food. Who knew I liked Serbian food? Not me, until we tried this place. First time in, I had the cabbage rolls - excellent- and mashed potatoes. I'm not even a mashed potato fan, and I Loved their mashed potatoes. (Im going to ask for an extra side order one of thse days ). Almost forgot to mention the house-baked bread, which I guarantee is the best restaurant bread you'll ever have: crispy crust with a soft center, perfect for dabbing up gravy - and you WILL mop your plate, especially if you have the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce. Huge menu, and so many good things you could eat there every week for a year and try something new each time. No liquor license unfortunately, but the prices are right! I'm starting a,new series: Eating My Way Through My DNA. Here's Episode 1: Exploring my Baltic, Albanian DNA through ghoulash. I've always had an uncanny desire for ghoulash through the years. My mom made a dish she called, "Chinese Chop Suey," which was chunky tender haystacks of meat. Beautiful, indistinguishable flaky, yet solid, meat floating like innertubes in a medium brown gravy speckled with black, red and green. She's scoop mounds atop a Himalayan range of rice. It ghoulash-y. I was swimming across the street at the Norridge Pool and slid across the street in my willoughly white button-down, oversized cushion cut glasses and pulled- back pony. Never had I been nor never had I eaten Baltic food. And wanting to celebrate, my 2% Baltic heritage from my Ancestry DNA test...I ventured in. Strong, tall hunky men dominated small tables lording over platters of meats, gravies and scoops of buttery mashed potatoes. It was sexy. I quickly glanced at the menu and landed on "Ghoulash." The accented lady behind the counter told me it came with bread and mashed potatoes. YUM. The menu read extensive and frankly overwhelmed me and the $14 price surprised me. I sat outside with the rising humidity with my glass bottle of Coke. Soon a large bowl of a thick colorful "stew" swimming with tender cubes of meat and dotted with spices and minuscule chopped veggies. On one side two healthy scoops of freshly made mashed potatoes peeked out. A basket of thick homemade slices of white bread - soft, yeasty, fluffy- begging ro be dipped in the heavenly ghoulash. I could only eat about half- the bowl deceptively large. I asked for a to go bag. But I couldn't leave without sampling some of the seductive sweets. I chose a nutella croissant! Fluffy, flaky, sticky hazelnut spread glory. Yes, it was $14 but I made three meals from it. Well worth it. read more

I come here many times for my cakes and coffee. There's a lot of varieties of cakes and they are homemade I like it so much specially the tiramisu, and the foods was so delicious, cooked very well and didn't took longer to waited to served my foods, this place is nice and clean and the employee and owner they have been so nice and friendly ;) read more

Anyone that hasn't been able to experience their delightful menu of: grilled meats (Cevapi, pljeskavice, etc), soups, burek (flaky, hand-stretched filo dough filled with meat, cheese or spinach & cheese savory pies) fresh salads (Sopska, mixed greens, etc), roast veal, lamb or pork, my gosh, you're missing out!
