Really good soup but when she charged me almost $10 I almost had a stroke. A few ideas. Lower price, charge extra for the roll. Have different prices for fancier soups. Mine was a basic chicken with pasta. $6 is fair. I saw one with beef and gnocci. $10 may be fair for that. I probably won't come back for that price but would for a $5-$7 range. read more

Came in for soup but it was the start of the day, so it seems like they didn't have all their soups ready at the moment. But I got a couple of sandwiches mine was pretty good. I got the special panini they had that day, which was a turkey with apricot preserves and enjoyed it a lot. Their chicken salad looked good so I might be back to pick some of that up later, and they also have some of their soups in their refrigerator that sounded really delicious. I really do love the soup here but when you advertise that you're open until 8pm and I go to get soup at 4pm and you're closed, I really can't give a good review. I've heard others talk about the strange hours. It's November and it's 4pm. Seems like a popular time to be open. read more

I went once and had a great experience they had great options and we can sample before committing. But I noticed they aren't open as advertised went before closing at 8 pm and it was closed and online it says they are opened on Sundays and arrived and on the door it says closed so please update your hours. read more

Ordered two sandwiches and a bag of chips through Grubhub. Right as the driver picked up the order they cancelled everything, then added just one of the sandwiches back to the order, so we didn't receive one of the sandwiches and the bag of chips. This place is amazing. I went in for the first time and got a quart of cream of chicken and wild rice soup and the Italian sandwich. It was enough to feed my husband and I. The ingredients are super fresh. I was one of the last customers so she offered to give me the last of the bath which I now have as leftovers for tomorrow. It's clear her wanted to give away the soup instead of toss it at the end of the night means she makes it fresh daily. Real chucks of chicken, carrots, and even bay leaves! This is the real deal none of that commercial stuff. I'm always looking for a soup spot and not a food spot that also serves soup. I can't wait to go back again soon. The woman was super friendly and I love supporting small businesses for that reason. I would 10/10 recommend. If you know someone who is sick and want to get them soup this is the spot. read more

Great selection of soups, great service, and I love the half-priced day-old soups in the refrigerator case. That was a pleasant surprise, and I stocked up with meals for several days. They're not the best soups I've ever had, but they were fairly tasty, and much easier than making it myself. I had a beef barley, a ham and potato, and a corn chowder. I was disappointed that my favorite, cream of chicken with wild rice, was already sold out for the day. I also got a sandwich, chicken salad on a croissant. The croissant was buttery and good, but I would've preferred about twice the chicken salad. It was a lot of croissant, and not enough filling. I was lucky to nab a parking space on the street, but not sure where I would have parked if one wasn't available, so this could be a barrier. I am planning to go back, but haven't yet. Excellent, delicious and creative souos and pannis, I've been there three times. They are creative and unique soup flavors. They change daily. The Chicken pesto are delicious and well done pannis. By far the most simple way to grab a delicious dinner for under $12. I tell ya sometimes you just need somebody else to make the soup that you've been craving and this place does it and does it very well. Tonight I got a fresh bowl of the pepper steak soup that I got the first time from the cooler this summer and I'm so excited to try it fresh. Pasta fagioli I had the pasta left out as it's added after to prevent it from getting too soft. Sure there's some weird soup and while every soup might not be my favorite I like the idea and convenience of giving this little store some business during the time of year when people should be eating more soup! I actually don't even want to really write this review but....im gonna. I don't want everyone to find out about this hidden gem and take over! This place is AWESOME. We got 9 different flavors soup. Claire gave AMAZING customer service. She was so helpful to pick the soups that we wanted and even let us sample what we were not sure of. The bread is delish but the HONEY BUTTER is AMAZING. Seriously? I don't even like honey butter but I figured I'd try it, I need this in my life! I also got some cookie dough ice cream that was delicious. Claire recommended a hibiscus tea so of course got it, drank it, loved it. I have been driving all the way to Soupbox in the city but this place has stole my heart. This place is a hidden gem! They have daily soup menus with amazing combinations that cater for all kinds of dietary needs. I spoke to the staff who explained they have over 300 recipes so the menu has huge variety daily. You can taste different options before picking one. I like to buy a couple extra for the freezer to warm up on days I can't cook. They sell soups from the day prior at a discount. read more

Best Soups in Town if you ask me. I discovered this spot while exploring Chicago for the best of the best in every dining course category. When it comes to an amazing one of a kind never before tasted soup experience, this place takes the win in my experience and opinion. They have a large variety of options, including gluten free soups, and they also have ice cream for desert! Thats like two of the best parts of dining courses that put a smile on everybody among the family and friends. Glad I have discovered it and love their new items on the menu that's worth exploring. I live in Edison Park and knew about this place since it opened. You know how you pass a restaurant and keep thinking, 'I should check that place out sometime,' but somehow never do? Guilty. Recently, I had a horrible cold and/or bad allergies. I knew I should get chicken noodle soup for my sore throat but was craving ice cream like crazy. Yep. Time to check out that soup and ice cream shop conveniently located down the street. The place is adorable, very rustic, farmhouse chic. My sweet tooth was rewarded at the end of a difficult day, as I found Soup and Scoops while walking to a parking lot near the train platform. Great setting, such a warm interior vibe. Looks and is comfortable. They have an extensive soup menu, both hot and cold, along with sandwiches, and they looked great, but this visit was all about the ice cream! All the soups were packed up and the staff were cleaning. Was told I couldn't get anything hot. This is the second time something similar has happened. I should preface by saying I love this place, their food is good (I've not had ice cream yet) and it's just a cute place. The front area staff are always kind and friendly with one exception. I was there this past Thursday and the girls in front provided excellent service with a smile. I had paid and was gathering my stuff. Another customer was behind me being helped and a middle aged woman came out from the back. Apparently she was back there making sandwiches because she loudly said - I'm back here slaving away, you better tip me! It wasn't appropriate and was really rude, the girls in front appeared embarrassed. The customer signing her receipt looked very nervous. Sooooo good. Been there a few times and the soups are so good and reasonably priced. I've tried the cream chicken which has huge pieces of shredded chicken and hunks of veggies. The corned beef and cabbage which again does not skimp on quality ingredients. I've tried the cream of mushroom and other specialty soups and they are all amazing. When I go back to arizona I am stopping there and taking a ton home. read more

Went here for lunch on a cold day (who doesn't love soups on cold dreary days?). There were about 6 soups on the menu for the day. I believe the soups are changed daily. I tried the cheese burger soup, which at first does not sound appetizing at all, but luckily here you get to try before you buy. It was one of the best tasting soups ever! But too bad they don't make it daily or else I would come back constantly for it! I think you can check the soup selections for the day on their Facebook page or by calling them prior to making the trip over. This place only sells soups and ice cream (hence the name of the place). It's a very limited selection, but if you're in the mood for either. I haven't tried the ice cream so I cannot speak on that. read more

Love this place! The soups are seriously out of this world. No blandness here! Full of rich spices, rich ingredients, hearty soups. Love the variety, each day there is a whole new set of soups, they post daily to FB what they have for that day, which is pretty cool. I had nacho chicken soup and it rocked, just the right amount of cheesiness and spice. My hubby had the mexican corn soup, also very good. Bread is extra $ and comes with a unique sweet butter that is a perfect combo to any soup. They have a cooler of soups if you just want something from there, its $1 cheaper per container. My daughter had ice cream, its soft serve (choices of vanilla & chocolate) and they have unique toppings, like cheerios, unicorn sprinkles, gummy bears. Kid heaven! Personally, I didn't love the soft serve, seemed low sugar or or not as milky/creamy. Decor is farmstyle, love it. Fresh flowers and plants on the wall. It takes me to a happy place, like once I walk in here the world stops moving so quickly. The only con is parking. Edison Park is hard as it is, during the day it takes me a while to find a spot or walk a few blocks. Wishful thinking is that they'd have a designated spot right in front of their shop, for folks to quickly stop in for to-go soup. If this happens, I think I'll be here everyday! read more

Typically I have very good reviews for this place, but today, they had a very surly gentleman servicing us today. I expressed disappointment that they didn't have Split Pea Soup, but he became visibly annoyed at my disappointment. One of the several soups I brought home was called Philly Cheese Steak. Turns out, there is no cheese, so I called. This is apparently simply a beef soup that was supposed to be accompanied by a cheese bread....which he stated they were out of. I have a soup addiction and this place is my drug. During Edison Park Fest I came here twice, and got a flight of soup both times. It was hot out, like everyone was sweating hot. And there I was... slurping hot soup on that hot summer day. My friend who is also a soup nut just so happened to be with me. She is vegetarian and they had more than a couple options for her which was helpful. ROASTED GARLIC- Get it! Actually there won't be any left because I plan on buying it all. If you don't recognize something or have a question the staff is amazing, helpful and will give you a sample. Fresh made selections and cold versions of yesterday's soups, nothing that I tried was disappointing, and nothing is wasted. They make a soup that stands alone as a meal in and of itself. Well done!
