    Pad Thai

I had such high hopes based on the reviews. I ordered pad Thai and Japanese Goya. The Goya had an odd taste. I couldn't figure it out didn't taste like my I have had - and I have had plenty. The pad Thai was ok/ it was very dark noodles - needed more veggies. I have never been to a great Thai place that serves mac and cheese and chicken fingers- should have been a clue.

Heard about this apparently new place on the Northwest Side on Milwaukee Avenue. It was so new that it even had a banner with the name on the building. Thai Pot Noodles has about what to expect as far as traditional Thai food goes but also has some other interesting stuff. Cheap prices compared to other places for this around here. You can get a lot without paying a lot. Came in at lunch and got some favorites. It's about $10 for the cheapest entree, and most others are only a buck more. The one I got was the Lad Nar. In this are noodles of course. This has crispy stir fried wide rice noodles. Also there's a light gravy, with broccoli, carrots, and ginger. Get protein for a few more bucks or so. Can make almost anything vegetarian here. They mark the things you can modify. Good place for noodles and other Thai food. It's among the cheapest places around here. There's a lot for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

Delicious food and kind service! I stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the Singapore noodles with crab Rangoon. I would definitely eat here again. Large portions, great flavor, plenty of seating.

I ordered here because the place I would have ordered from was closed and my kids were hungry. And I'm so glad I did! This might be my new go to for Thai. The food was SUPER FRESH, balanced, and clean. It felt like home cooking goodness...if you had a talented Thai chef in the family. We had the gyoza, the pad Thai, the mandarin salad, the cucumber salad, pork fried rice, and the veggie rolls. Everything was delicious and my kids gobbled it up. When I pulled up to get my order it looked a bit sketchy...but it's just a humble restaurant just getting started. Inside it was warm and clean and smelled delicious. You won't regret it! Order everything!

Spicey shrimp on rice, very harmonious combination of flavours, crunchy and juicy shrimp, fried on fresh oil, spicey and flavourful pepper sauce, not too spicy, super juicy and sweet mandarines combine perfectly with spicey sause and crunchy shrimp, will be coming back,

My wife & I love Thai food and upon driving by the newly open restaurant, knew we had to give Thai Pot Noodle Shop a try. As a result, I am happy to say, this gem did not disappoint but hit all the marks--definitely a win-win all around! We had spicy fried rice with shrimp & chicken and crispy rolls, it was amazing and a must have! Looking forward to returning for sure! and highly recommend!

Spring rolls were soggy like they had been sitting for a long time. Did not taste fresh. I ordered Ramen and the flavors were very strange.

We went for Happy Hour and were seated at the bar because all of the tables were apparently reserved. We were greeted by Adam who was the only server in the bar. For Happy Hour they have a few drink specials and all Small Plates are half off. We asked about GF options and he was not too helpful but we made it work. My wife started with a Ginger Pina Martini with grilled pineapple infused vodka. She loved it ,I thought it was too sour. I tried their Toshi Old Fashion with Iwai 45 which is a Japanese blended whiskey. Very good. For our small plates we had Spicey Tuna Crispy Rice,Chicken Lettuce Wraps,BBQ Lollipops and a Philadelphia Roll. Hands down our favorite were the BBQ lollipops..sliced New York strip wrapped around lemongrass with a delicious sauce. On Tuesdays they offer half price rolls which makes us want to go back as some of their signature rolls sounded amazing. Plenty of parking is available and reservations are suggested..even for Happy Hour.

The duck bao buns came two per order and had a sauce to melt the flavor of the duck in your mouth. The shishido peppers came with a sauce that was creamy and complimentary. They have sushi boats that come with four rolls, but I opted to eat three. All of our selection of rolls was pretty and filling. Some ordered hot plates and the portions were grand and they were delicious. We went for a birthday and ordered two desserts. The ube cheesecake didn't have the blueberries on there, as the photos suggested it would, but still tasted great. The chocolate peanut butter cake was also good, but wasn't considered a favorite. Our server Ayden was helpful and got our food out quickly. His service was pretty good and he was friendly. This was lively for a night that was -10 Fahrenheit! It was so busy, so that tells you it's a great restaurant, and I agree.

I was immediately drawn in to Ming Chef by the bright modern exterior and interior. Such a nice departure from traditional dark Chinese places. The food was so beautifully prepared and presented. My husband ordered his safe choice, fried rice and enjoyed an elevated version of his favorite with tender barbecued pork. I ordered a mushroom and shrimp dish that was offered over wide rice noodles. So delicious! The variety of mushrooms really set this dish apart. Kenny helped us narrow down our choices from the expansive menu to suit my need for novelty as well as my husband's spice-phobic palate. Kenny also treated us to custom bobo tea for desert. I feel so lucky to find this place! Our new favorite for sure!

Last time I went to the taqueria I noticed that a new restaurant was in the works, all the way back behind the bakery. I spoke with the lady and confirmed it was going to be pan-Asian food and all halal! She told me the opening date was November 1st. Today I stopped in, and sure enough it was open. The lady (who I believe is Yola) told me they planned to rotate dishes and will include various Asian dishes, like Thai food. Today they had fried rice, crispy noodles, shrimp, fried chicken drumsticks/wings, chicken lollipop, and diced chicken & potatoes. They even had duck! It all looked good, but I decided to try fried rice with the diced chicken & potatoes, along with a few pieces of chicken lollipop (which is like fried chicken on a stick, or bone). I brought the food to my parent's house for a family dinner. I really enjoyed the food. The fried rice wasn't out of this world, but the chicken lollipop was really good and the chicken & potato dish was pretty good. I love Asian food, so I'm stoked about having a halal option. The food was sold by weight, and I feel we got a decent value. This isn't a place you can go to for a nice dinner out, but a good takeout option. Looking forward to trying other dishes here.

The dining room was clean, modern, and had mundane atmosphere like a Chipotle, Roti or Naf Naf Grill. We ordered at the counter and sat down to wait for our food. Service was good and food was fine. My only complaint would be that the beef broth in the pho was not quite as flavorful as some pho restaurants and a little too sweet for my personal taste. I have found other Vietnamese restaurants do this for the American palate and I added chili oil to add balance the flavor. Portions were generous and prices were no bargain. After tax and tip we spent $60 for 2 people with just the appetizer and 2 large bowls of pho.

Such a bright and cheerful location that lives up to its pastel green aesthetic to represent the lime featured in pho! I felt the prices were very fair for the portions I received, as I had bought too much to compensate for portions at other places I experienced. Service was quick, kind, and the right amount of attentiveness. The P5 (eye round steak & tendon) was delicious and light, with a great kick of optional spice from the jalapeños. The Thai tea and Crab Rangoon combo I got with my pho was delicious and a nice addition to my meal. The H2 (Red Curry Noodle Soup) according to my partner "very delicious" with lots of flavor and spice. Not deathly hot by any means, but it's got a bite. The House Special Bánh mì was also superbly layered with different meats and fresh vegetables, it was so refreshing. Overall, what a nice night! ~$65 after tip, but very worth the try!
