I've been going here for years. Always fresh and great taste! I buy the normal espresso roast beans in 1lb bags.

I stopped by Perkolator Coffee in Portage Park for a scheduled work meeting at 9am. Surprisingly,…read moreit was already very crowded for a Wednesday morning, which made it a little difficult to find a comfortable place to sit. The space itself is pretty small and the tables are also on the smaller side, so it's not the easiest spot if you're trying to have a meeting or spread out to work. I ordered a latte, which was really good nice and strong, exactly how I like it. I also tried a breakfast sandwich. It was decent but pretty average, and I did feel like it was a bit pricier compared to similar coffee spots. The staff was friendly, which always helps the overall experience. Parking can be a challenge though since you have to rely on street parking in the area. Overall, it's a solid neighborhood coffee shop and I would come back, but it's probably not my favorite spot if I'm planning to meet someone or need a little more space.

Very cool neighborhood vibe. I sat and worked on my computer and pretty quickly the place filled up. The line was long a lot of the time, though there were lulls. Most people it seemed got things to go. The people there were happy and enjoying life! Then I bought a breakfast burrito and a refresher for the road for my travel companion. He said the food was the best. Thanks so much!

They serve an extensive menu that covers delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner items. They have both tables and booths and indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered their avocado turkey club sandwich lunch special with fries. The sandwich was so huge that it could have had their own zip code! The lunch sandwich also came with chicken pasta soup (or salad) which was tasty. The lunch was so filling that I could only finish 1/2 of the club sandwich. Service was good. It was hot outside so I sat indoors which was comfortably air-conditioned. If you are looking for large portions of good comfort food, Blossom Cafe will definitely fit that bill.

A group of 20+ of us came in for brunch on a Sunday and everything went well. We thought we were getting placed in a private room since this event was coordinated ahead of time. We ended up in the maiming dining room, which made it hard for us to catch up with everyone. We were here for an annual family reunion, but it's fine. Service throughout was great, we were in and out within an hour and 15 mins. Staff members were on top of their game. I had the garden omelette and added cheddar cheese to it. It was pretty good. I had some skin from the onion which was off putting, but other than that it was OK. The portion was generous and I had leftovers for the following morning.

I really liked the assortment of cakes, pies, cookies and more available and will certainly be back again.. and again. A suggestion: While I was intrigued by the sandwich board I had no way to know what the sandwich would look like. Bread? pandora? Ciabatta? 6", 8", 10", 12"... or bread loaf slices? So my suggestion is they get some photos taken or make a few sandwiches wrapped and ready to grab n go. Make one of each and see what sells. I'd use sandwiches as a way to bring in customers who will then purchase a pastry or cookie.. or come back when they need something sweet. sorry, no photos... pastries were gone too fast and they were delicious.

I had delicious coffee, pastry, and gelato. I received good, friendly service. I had a cream and fruits filled croissant, coffee, and a cup of gelato with coconut and pistachio flavors. They were all delicious and pretty good. The gentleman who served me gave me a generous portion of their homemade gelato which was creamy and flavorful. I enjoyed my experience here. I liked the variety of pastries and other sweet treats this fime establishment had to offer. I definitely recommend checking them out.
