I usually get bubble tea when I'm in China town or uptown neighborhood but was surprised when I found this place without having to take a drive. Ordered pickup online and my first order was ready in just a few minutes. I had the mango smoothie with Lychee popping boba. Smoothie was fresh and delicious. The boba was 10/10-- arguably some of the best boba i have had within the chicago-land area. Did not taste powdered or artificial-- and the sweetness was just perfect. Service was kind, nice ladies working at the front. However, this being near a college i was hoping it would be a nice place to study-- but it was not. No wi-fi, the tables and the ambiance are sub-par, no outlets, and it was freezing in the seatings the provided. It's not the dirtiest, but it's not the cleanest either. Would definitely come back for their drinks but not to study in the cafe :(( read more

I have a lot of bubble tea spots in my area; but I've wanted to try Gosa's "Ocean Milk" because it's an eye catching drink to me. I ordered a large Ocean Milk with brown sugar boba; it was pretty pricey for a drink at $9 and some change. The majority of Tea spots price their drinks within the 5-6 dollar range so I was pretty blown away how a milk tea could cost about $10.00 for one. I got my drink and it sure looked beautiful with the blue, white, brown swirls that resembled the Ocean. It didn't have much of a flavor and I tasted more of the brown sugar boba. The drink is beautiful from the aesthetic point of view but flavor wise; it's nothing to rant and rave about. The boba was also a little too soft for me and not the texture I usually like. I'm glad I got to check this off my list of things I want to try. I probably won't come back because the drinks here are pricier and the milk tea spots in my area make excellent milk tea options for a much affordable price. They also don't have self ordering kiosks where you can control and customize the drink to your liking; you have to verbally order over here. read more

Yano I was so excited to finally have a boba spot near my house, but it didn't live up to my expectations sadly. The overall store is so cute inside with all the decor and new furniture. I love that they even have games for customers to use while enjoying some boba. I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea with boba and my boyfriend got the taro milk tea. Their cups are not your traditional cups which I thought was nice for a change. But let's get to the boba... The overall quality of the milk tea was ehh. It was very watered-down and the flavor was lacking. The boba was way too soft. I'm not sure if you are able to adjust the sweetness level at this place. I wanted to like "Gosa Tea" really bad because my neighborhood could use a bubble tea shop like this. However, I could only render 3.5 stars. Based on the mathematic rule, I rounded up to an integer. Therefore, it defaulted to four (4) stars for this review! First of all, "Gosa Tea" used a catchy bright yellow as the primary color for their decors. Chairs and booth seating seemed to be comfortable for people to hang out and relax. However, I would say their beverages were the weakest link. I was not sure if the sugar level could be customized since I never asked. Drinks came out on a sweeter side, and I tended to like mine without much sugar or without sugar at all. In addition, the sugar often times saturated to the bottom of the cup. I would say shake it well prior to consuming it. I believe I ordered brown sugar matcha bubble tea every time I came. I hated to say it was just an ok and did not wow me whatsoever. I would be willing to give other items a try, yet it would require some customization in order to suit my tastebud. Once again, "Gosa Tea" is a very cute bubble tea place, and this attractive business should stay in the neighborhood as long as it can. Nevertheless, I will be dishonest if I say I am a fan. There are competitions in other neighborhoods in the city and some of them are indeed my preferred choices to go for my treats at this time. read more

We always get and recommend the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and the Mango Smoothie with boba! Service is good could be a little better but overall good. Very cute little place, still feel the same! The tapioca is fresh, and the bursting boba is amazing! I've tried the mango and honey flavors and love them. I usually get the peach milk tea and the honey lemon green tea and they're phenomenal! However I have tried other fruit teas and I've never had one I disliked! Not hard. Not overly mushy sticky. Just right. And this alone deserves a 5 star rating. Fruit Tea: Yum! Mixed well. The passionfruit was not overly tart. Its just perfect. Milk Tea: Here's my only criticism. I think their blend is a bit too milky for us. Since they are brewing their own tea, it helps to maybe make the 'tea-taste' stronger and highlight that taste. About time that Portage Park area gets another boba tea place! I've never been to the physical store but I have ordered takeaway through GrubHub from there since it opens. It would be nice if they participate in the GrubHub+ program so I don't have to pay extra delivery fees, but I get it, with Gosa Tea being a new business. As for the tea itself, I find this superior to the *very limited* options around here. There are also some creative flavors which you don't get - for example, the chocolate milk brown sugar bubble tea which is kind of my favorite. I was excited to find a bubble tea shop near by for a refreshing drink. I placed my order and paid. I go and pick up my drink and noticed they made a mistake. I shared my drink should have been with milk. They updated me that my drink option didn't come with milk. I asked why would he ring me up with my order when you guys couldn't make it? She went on saying they will give my money back or I can reorder. As I said, I would reorder 10 people came into the store and she said I'd have to wait for my drink order after them. I am upset about the situation and then she ADDS I have to WAIT after 10 people. Horrible service!! Tip: correct your mistake before the 10 people and make it right for the customer. At that point I just took my drink and left. The melon fruit tea was okay, which is the only reason I gave them 1 star. read more

The jasmine green tea with tapioca was smooth, reminded me of Tea Top or TP Tea. The pearls were also a nice softer-chewy type. Prices in the city are higher overall, but it's still a pretty hefty amount for a medium that's somewhat small. The interior is pretty spacious with board games, seems like a nice place to hang out.
