A co worker recommended Al's pizza. When we told him we would travel to the Southside for our favorite style pizza. Which is thin crust sausage & tavern cut. We no longer have to leave our near neighborhood. Al's pizza, hits all our favorite requirements for great pizza. Which is the right balance of cheese and sauce with thin crispy but chewy crust and flavorful sausage (with just the right amount of fat). During Covid 19 we would call in our order and pickup. But stay & eat it in our car. Our son has tried their other meals, delicious chicken with capers. He too now has a go to pizza place. Oh btw, they have their own delivery team too. read more

When I order Al's I keep it simple. Half cheese for the wife and kids. Half Pepperoni for me. It's a very thin pizza. Not the cracker crust you'll get from Vito and Nicks. Crispier towards the crust and a little floppier as you get towards the center. Overall I like this pizza. Not sure what brand of cheese they use but it's that right amount of salty. It's my favorite in the area. Haven't had the stuffed yet but I have to assume it's pretty good. They also have some unique pizzas on the menu. I couldn't give it a 5 for two reasons. One, I would prefer the crust to have a little more crunch or char throughout as it's a little pail at the bottom. Still good though. The other reason is they only offer slices certain times of the day versus other spots in the area that offer slices all day. If Al's offered slices all day I'd be there religiously. read more

Not only did Al's deliver to my 6th floor hotel room after a long day of travel, but they delivered in well under the quoted time. I got the thin crust pizza. It's the kind of pizza that makes you wonder if they're making daily flights to and from Italy. The cheese is the mozzarella that all of us have had but can never find to purchase. It's the kind of cheese that's salty, sweet, and stretchy all at once. Do yourself a favor and get some pizza from Al's tonight. read more

ZERO STARS! We ordered a family sized Italian cheesy beef pizza tonight for pick up. It wasn't cheap at almost $30. We have been doing business here for years and I'm talking about 15 to 20 years. Have you guys heard about Covid-19? As of today there have been 150,000 deaths in the United States alone! If you have ever been here, the dining room is tiny and I mean like 3 tables. When we went to pick up the pizza there was 1 guy at each of the tables all talking to each other, no one wearing masks! Called Al's and told the girl at the front counter about it and to keep the pizza. She put me on hold. WTF! I hung up and left. read more

Stopped at Al's tonight for first time on drive home from the city. Ordered a 16 inch Half cheese half italian Sausage & 12 inch italian beef and hot giardiniera. Wow! is all I have to say. Pizza is as Thin as thin can be, and the sauce close to the endge just to leave a nice crunch . Beef was absolutely delicious and giardiniera wasn't overpoweringly hot or greasy. The crust is crispy and I think I've found one of my new go-to's! If only I lived closer. Definitely will be back. read more

Was in Chicago for two days. On the last day we wanted pizza so Al's was the closest with the highest star rating. We meet Al right off the top he was a very friendly person. He took our order and took good care of our taste buds with an assortment of yummy-ness. Everything was amazing the pizza, fried dough with cannoli sauce (our favorite) best ever. We loved this place and now and forever Al's will be our spot. read more

Very surprising for a little hole in the wall excellent food. Great pizza and pasta and chicken and cannolis. I have ordered several times and have never been disappointed. Delivery always quick and food comes hot which I appreciate. read more

The absolute worst pizza i have had in i dont know wen !! Terrible !! I used to brag about them Now Avoid at all cost.

Stop ordering from Papa John's and Domino's and Pizza Hut and get yourself some real food. Do you still drink out of a juice box? You're not eight years old - knock it off! If you're anywhere in the 773 or close by in the 708, 630 or 847, remove all the pizza chains from your phone and order from somewhere that actually makes their pizza with a little integrity and then cuts it into squares. If you're anywhere near Al's, order this pizza. I love it. Super thin, super tasty. I'm a big fan. The calamari is also very good. I think I had the lasagna and a steak sandwich once as well. Both were very good but let's face it - Al's is all about the pizza. Like many Eye-talian establishments on the NW Side, there's a distinct vibe when you enter this place to pick up your food. A lesser man might be intimidated by the guys in the kitchen or the characters sitting at the tables but he shouldn't be. Everyone is friendly. It's just that they don't have a lot of time to listen to you go on and on about the old neighborhood. Pay for your panzarotti and go home. That being said, there also is another NW Side pizza place element here - the 16-to-20-year-old female cashier who has no tolerance for flirting, pretty-boy delivery drivers or customers who try to make small talk about "The Bachelor." Seriously. Get your food and hit the road. Unless, of course, you're eating there - then take your time. But if you don't have a dining companion, bring a newspaper or something to keep yourself occupied. No one wants to hear about your flooded basement. We've got our own problems to deal with. read more

Al's Pizza - Outside - Pizza Near Me - Norridge, Illinois

Just received my pizza. The roast beef was pretty much nonexistent. Other than that, not bad.

Pros: I love their kicken chicken sandwich and kicken chicken salad. I can't finish either, the portions are big. They are not in some online menus, but they are real items! Their pizza is also really good, crispy crust and good homemade sausage. I normally don't like sausage but theirs is very good. cons: they put lots of onions on salads and sandwiches also my coworker doesn't like the quality of their napkins. read more

These losers have a $4.50 delivery fee, obviously not including tip. Hammer that one star rating and hit these pieces of ____ where it hurts. I mean, all the pizza places are scum with the inflated delivery fees, but this place blows most others out of the water. I feel so sorry for your delivery drivers. Lord knows they're not getting tips with a $4.50 delivery charge! Did I mention that these guys are complete losers? It needs to be reiterated. read more

First time ordering from Als Pizza. I ordered a Cheese Pizza... I really liked it. I was thin crust... It tasted really good. I'll be ordering more often. read more

I am a long time customer there, maybe 10 years, if I want a pizza this is the only place to order!

Swear this spot has the best thin crust in Chicago area! Would highly recommend giving a try as the crust is razor thin but firm its the perfect pizza! read more

Buyer beware. Ordered jumbo wings.... these wings are not even close to being jumbo wings. Tiny wings with barely any meat on the them. Complete false advertising wasted an hour just to receive this garbage and then driving back to get a refund. Owner explanation was these are the same wings we've had for 20 years. 20 years of false advertising. Don't waste your time like I did. read more

Hi,Al. It's me,Patty. I'd like to get together with you tonight,if you can work me in. You can? 25 minutes? Great! I'll be there with cash! I was craving pizza all day and this thin thin thin pie hit the spot.Thanks,Al. read more

I had carry-out Pizza. I ordered a sausage thin crust. The pizza had a good flavor. The crust was very thin, a good thing. I had a couple of problems with the pizza. One, there was some burnt leftovers on the bottom of some of the pizza. Someone didn't clean the oven. Two, there was a lot of grease on the top of the pizza. A good Chicago thin crust pizza is not covered in grease. I don't think I would try it again, since there are so many very good pizza places around Chicago. read more

Worlds "WORST" pizza!!! Ordered a Family sized sausage pizza....easy sauce. The order taker said "enjoy"....REALLY??? It was burnt and tasted like cardboard. I think they measured the sausage by the 1/4 tsp. ... I asked for "easy sauce" and got.......NO sauce at all...My guests had brought the salad to accompany the pizza and I ended up throwing away the Al' s pizza and having hot dogs on the grill with their salad.....how embarrassing!!!! I will ... NEVER ...EVER....order from them again. Definitely.. ... NOT ....Chicago's # 1 Pizza. Really Sad!!! read more

Love the place. Yummy food, very friendly staff, and super cheap prices. My husband is a big fan of the eggplant parmesan sub, served with french fries that are so good that they're worth mentioning (they make 'em super crispy here). I get a panzarotti with spinach, which is kinda like a calzone with attitude. They describe it as a pizza folded in half, with cheese and sauce and whatever topping you want inside, either baked or fried (I get it baked). They have a cooler filled with RC products, both cans and 1-liter bottles. The 1-liter bottles are less than 2 bucks and are the perfect size to share between 2 people, which is another way to save a little cash. read more

I'm not the largest fan of thin crust pizza but we ordered it with a couple coupons and both times came back high quality pizza. We stayed simple and got both cheese and spinach and sausage. Though the cheese and spinach had a great flavor and was great and plentiful in ingredients I fell in love with the sausage pizza. I tend to think I'm the reincarnation of a T-Rex sometimes. It's the type of pizza that because it's thinner you don't feel so bad eating a bunch of pieces but then even when you want to stop you can't because it's so addicting. They deliver and do carry out orders! read more

The best thin crust pizza this side of town. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur growing up on the south side of Chicago (eating Italian Fiesta and Home Run Inn just about every weekend). Working in the Rosemont area, I passed by this place quite often. I'm so glad I finally went inside. The decor has a Soprano's type ambiance. I ordered a personal size thin crust with sausage, green peppers and mushrooms. The best thin crust pizza I've ever had in this area. The crust is buttery and crispy. The sausage was full of flavor. The green peppers were crisp and fresh. Mushrooms very tender. The pizza was so good, I had to meet Al. The coolest guy around. He really takes pride in making a pretty pie (his words, not mine). They also sell slices during lunch times. You will not regret grabbing a slice. I'm a customer for life. read more

Al's Pizza, is owned by Annetti's Pizza on Cumberland. Why not get all of the pizza joints in the same area, this way you've got the $$$ in your pocket. The pizza here has always been a killer. The sausage and cheese pizza simply rocks. The combo pizza is just the same. YES, YES, YES read more

The food is as fresh as it gets it is made to order there is nothing frozen, and the sauce is made with only the freshest ingredients with their own family recipe. When I am back intown i usually order from their Irving park location, i introduced the thin crust from als when i was back home to my 11 year old daughter and that is the only thin pizza she asks for as soon as we land in Ohare and it is superb. Not a pizza chain this is totally family owned its DELICIOUS! read more

Very Very good pizza. The personal pizzas there are HUGE and very filling and the people there are real friendly. Their really cheap too if you want a good pizza for cheap i would recommend this place. read more

I love the food here. Starting with the pizza which is the best thin and crispy pizza you will find anywhere. The sauce is awesome and the toppings are good quality and they don't skimp. The rest of the menu is much better than your average pizza joint. Again, good quality ingredients prepared nicely. I always order something different with the pizza and so far we have loved everything. I also appreciate how clean the place is and the service I get there. They are always ready for us and super friendly. The owner is such a nice guy and always puts a smile on our faces. One of my favorite places to go or have delivered. read more

Well I ordered couple of things on new year day from them using grubhub. Order was accepted and delivery estimate was 9:45pm - 9:55pm. At 10:25PM when there was no sign of food, I tried calling them as they close at 10:30PM. No body cared to pick up the phone. There is no other number to call. I cant comment on the food as it never arrived. Finally after waiting for 2.5 hours, at midnight I had cook for myself and my family, amidst anger and frustration. Never seen such heights of insensitivity and unprofessional attitude. I am extremely displeased, furious and pissed off at them. 1 star because there isn't an option to not give a star. I will never order from them again. I thought my money was lost and it appeared I was SCAMMED. Thanks to grubhub they followed up and got the transaction cancelled. read more

We ordered food from Als' to feed our whole party (130 people) and everyone loved it. Pasta, and Chicken cooked to perfection and priced reasonably. We were running late and they called to remind us that everything was ready, and helped us load the car. We will definitely use them again. THANKS AL! read more

Delicious pizza, delicious everything. Fair prices, too. Al, and his son Joe, are two of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. As for the crowd that inhabits the little dining room, it's like walking into a Scorsese movie--and every bit as entertaining. A strip mall does not mean second best, not in this case. A+++ read more

Al's didn't skimp on the toppings; our pepperoni, green pepper, and sausage thin crust smelled fresh. My lone gripe was that our pizza was cut in squares. My wife says that's a "Chicago thing"; I'm from the east coast so I'm inclined to believe her, especially since my previous orders of thin crust pizza from other places in Chicagoland were also cut in squares, but I prefer that it be cut in wedges. Minor detail that can be corrected if I ask in advance that my pizza not be cut. Friendly service. Recommended. read more

Great thin pizza. Friendly staff. I got sausage and pepperoni and was cooked perfectly. Comparing it to other places the sausage wasn't too quality but very good. Good prices as well. read more

We ordered a large sausage and ricotta cheese pizza with mozzarella sticks. Not only did it take forever to receive the order, but the pizza was all smashed like someone dropped it, and the mozzarella sticks were cold. We called to let them know what happened and someone named Anna was completely rude and basically told us oh well. She never even said sorry about that. She said she'd send a new pizza within a half hour and an hour rolled by when my boyfriend called to ask for a manager. She said there's no manager and basically it is what it is. I've NEVER come across someone so unprofessional and uncaring at a business in my life. I DO NOT recommend this establishment read more

If your from Chicago and understand what Chicago thin crust pizza is supposed be like, look no further. If your not from Chicago go to Giordano's with the rest of the tourists and enjoy there canned sauces. Never had a bad experience. Been ordering from here for years. Extra thin well done pepperoni is the best. Moved out of the area and still make trips in because thin crust pizza is delicious. Consistently good Everytime. And the phone girls are nice as long as you are kind to them. Karma people. Keep up the good work Al. The locals appreciate you. read more

Used to order from this place all of the time. It started going down hill a few years ago. Had a few back to back pizzas that were horrible. I have not ordered from here in over 3 years. Thought I would give it try last week. The pizza tasted good but if you are expecting a pizza with cheese u will need to order and pay for extra cheese. The cheesy beef special pizza was lacking in cheese. The outer slices had no cheese. read more

Alrighty I just had this place w/my bf tonight. We got a large pizza half of it with sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms and the other pepperoni peppers and onions. Well it was okay, there was too many of the peppers and onions and it ruins the flavor of the pizza. Also it was very very greasy and I would like more sauce on it. It was okay though I liked the crust, though I am partial to a thicker crust, hello Giordanos! Anyways and the fries would have been good had they been fresh. We also got the breaded steak sandwich or wahtever it was okay too. I don't know how much it cost though, the bf paid for it. EHHH better pizza choices in the Chi area. read more
