Happy 2026! This is my first video review, and I'm starting strong with Vince's Pizza in Niles, IL…read more Hands down, this is the best pizza spot I've had in the Chicagoland area. In my opinion, it's as good as, if not better than, Pantaleone's in Denver, Colorado. The quality of the pizza is outstanding. It easily surpasses every slice I tried at Pizza Fest Chicago 2025. Vince uses incredibly fresh ingredients, and it shows in every bite. The crust is exceptional, honestly on par with some of the best pizza spots in NYC. Service is top-notch. Vince himself is the owner, chef, cashier, and server, which adds a personal touch you don't find often. He's friendly, welcoming, and happy to offer recommendations based on what you like. It's no surprise he's been a multiple-year Pizza Wars winner. On top of that, the pricing is unbeatable for the size and quality, easily better value than places like Rosati's, Viccino's Pizza Company, and Giordano's. The ambiance feels like stepping into an old-school neighborhood pizza shop. It's nostalgic, warm, and refreshing, something that's becoming harder and harder to find. Final recommendation: Try the pizza by the slice (it's massive basically a quarter of a pie), the Vince's Special, or the Meat Lovers. You'll leave more than satisfied and definitely wanting to come back. Highly recommend supporting this amazing small, local business.

This was our first time here, and we came to celebrate a birthday. We had noted it in the…read morereservation and also had a conversation about it with our server. We were a little surprised when nothing was done for it, which isn't a big deal, but I'll be honest it was disappointing since we did come specifically to celebrate and had talked about it w our server. 3/5 Arancini - Very salty. None of us really enjoyed them because of that. They also came out lukewarm instead of hot. Would have been excellent if it was less salty and came out hot and crispy. 5/5 Fig & Mushroom (subbed for prosciutto) - The menu doesn't specify how the fig is served. Turned out to be fig jam rather than fresh fig, which wasn't what we expected. A little too sweet for me but overall still very much enjoyed it. Their pizza was cooked perfectly with enough toppings and cheese. Very good pizza! 5/5 Braised Short Rib + Polenta - so good! The short rib was excellent, just slightly salty. The polenta was perfect, and it came with a generous portion of wild mushrooms. 2/5 White Wine Cake (recommended as "unique") by our server - This was the most disappointing meal item. Our waitress told us it was special, but it was very bland and didn't match the description or image on their website. Their website showed a cake with a large scoop of ice cream on top, fair amount of whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Ours came with maybe a quarter of the size of that ice cream scoop, a little teaspoon dollop of whipped cream that you eat in one bite and the raspberry sauce was a tiny smear on bottom for decor but there wasn't enough to actually eat it. The cake itself was moist but lacked flavor. It took a really long time to come out, we thought perhaps they forgot, then forgetting we were celebrating a birthday on top of that was disappointing. Atmosphere - Beautiful space, very well done. The only issue is how close the tables are, you can't pull your chair back without hitting someone, and getting to the bathroom requires asking others to move because of how tight the layout is. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would return. While there were a few dishes we wouldn't order again, and others we would. Would love to try the wild mushroom pizza next time! The only thing was that since we had come to celebrate a birthday and didn't end up doing that, the night felt a little less special than we had expected--but still a nice experience overall.

I'm glad I finally got to check this place out, as I've been curious about it for some time. This…read moreplace is swanky and sophisticated, and a nice addition to the Park Ridge restaurant scene. I came to meet some folks and we sat at the bar. They have an extensive beverage program here, including mocktails, and that's what I settled on. I got one called Strawberry-Basil something, and it was so good. The strawberry-basil shrub was a key ingredient, and I don't get to a lot of places that use a shrub in their drinks. There was definitely a STRONG vinegar taste but for me, that was great. I also ordered a pasta dish, orecchiette and sausage with peas and a sweet, creamy sauce. Orecchiette and sausage are such a classic combo and I hadn't had this sauce before; it was a pleasant dish and was perfectly al dente. Service was good for the bar area. There's parking around, both in the lot right outside and the public parking lot below. And then of course there's the lots by the library and whatnot, so you should be able to find something.

Good food takes time, so be sure to call ahead with your order so you aren't waiting in restaurant for your meal to bring home. A benefit of take out from Banaby's: the slices are thin and cut small so they are perfect for snacking on the car ride home. Cheese: greasy and crispy, more flavorful than other pizzas (don't ask me how, it just is) Sauce: not overwhelming and the perfect amount, because I would hate to have my crispy dough drenched in sauce Crust: perfect undercarriage with a crispy cornmeal crust, who can say no to thin crust? If you travel to Chicago and are not a fan of deep dish, then Banaby's MUST be your go-to spot to try.

My husband's pizza was terrific, but because I didn't have sauce on mine it was really dry it felt like the crust was a cracker. It was still very delicious. I remember coming to this restaurant and it would be crowded and people would be waiting for a table, this time there was only about four tables worth of people. For their sake I hope they have a lot of takeout orders. It's a really comfortable and nice place to come they have wooden booths and they have a gambling area. If you have not been here I highly recommend it. The restaurants very clean and everybody that works here is very nice. We will definitely come back when we're in the area again.

I never had Detroit style pizza before- and theirs is amazing! Even non-GF eaters love it and there is no way you would guess it is GF. My newest favorite is a GF Detroit with the Verona toppings and instead of chicken I get sausage or bacon. AND another bonus is that it re-heats equally well in the microwave or the regular oven.....even the 2nd or 3rd day after you get it! Unheard of, for any kind of pizza!! Their order takers and delivery folks are great- and the prices sre more than fair.

My absolute favorite was the Cavatelli Vodka. I'm a sucker for good vodka pasta and this one was creamy, flavorful, and honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in the suburbs. The pizza was also really solid with a crispy crust, and I love that they offer several different crust options to switch it up next time. To end the meal, I had fried dough topped with Nutella and it was the perfect sweet bite fresh, warm, and so tasty. The service here really stood out too. My server was kind and attentive, and I even got to meet Sarah, one of the owners, who was so welcoming and friendly. The whole team made the place feel warm and inviting. They have multiple locations, but the Park Ridge one has a great atmosphere and even a cute patio for nicer weather. It does get busy, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Great spot for pasta, pizza, and a cozy meal.

Although the pizza here is usually more expensive than other pizza joints around the area, the…read morequality is usually pretty good comparatively. Most of the locations are strictly carry out so this location there's absolutely no dining area available. They are fairly quick and very responsive to your orders and usually get the orders out at the time they said they would. They have a variety of pizza types from Detroit style, which is like a deep dish except in a square format they have a hand tossed which is similar to like a Pizza Hut type pizza and then they have thin crust. All their pizzas charge extra for any topping whatsoever. They also have these items called jet boats, which are similar to a calzone, both in Italian style pizzas, as well as deli type ingredients. They also have a variety of different breads from their traditional breadstick to their turbo sticks, which are topped with three or four different cheeses. I can't recall, but they are so damn good. Be prepared, though for your car to smell like the cheese from this breadstick for days on end. Lastly, they also have wings and salad options which traditionally are not a thing that I ever order whenever I go there, but just wanted to mention it.
