I am a Pizza Girl all the way. So i like trying new pizza places. OMG!!!! Their pizza is amazing!!!! I ordered a Personal Pan Pizza with Sausage, Pepperoni, and Mushroom. When the pizza came you can tell right away. Quality ingredients for sure! I am definitely going back to try more stuff on the menu. Its a small place tho. Street parking. Service was great! Oh also I was surprised but they have wine!

I finally tried Lefty's. This will be my go to pizza place from now on. Ordered online and showed up early. I was just going to sit in my car until the time came, but someone came out to my car when I pulled up. I told her I still needed to pay and she took my name then came back to take my card. She was so kind! A+ for service! My pizza came out early and pipping hot! It smelled so good. I hard time resisting eating during my 10 min ride home. The pizza was crunchy, yet chewy and soft. A bit salty, but pan pizza is usually salty. The flavors were great. I'm so glad I finally gave Lefty's a try!

I give Lefty's two stars because I actually really enjoy their pizza, both thin and pan, and we've been sorely short of good pizza in mid and east Wilmette for years. However, due to the owners responses to people questioning their masking policy, I will not be returning. When an owner degrades a customer for disagreeing with something, or complaining about staff or food....well, it's unacceptable, and it doesn't matter If they are right, wrong, or of differing opinions. I personally don't care if employees are masked when I'm ordering take out, but will never go to a store/restaurant where the owner/s or employees seem to default to name calling and belittling when dealing with a customer complaint.

    Sausage and spinach deep dish

One of the best Chicago deep dish pizzas ever! I always order from Pequod's when I come to Chicago and was advised these owners come from there. Their's rivals Pequods and dare I say exceeded my expectations. Delivery was super fast, too!

The pan pizza had the right combination of sauce to spinach and a caramelized crust that will keep us coming back.

Pequod's Pizza is in my home town of Morton Grove, and I hadn't been there in over 50 years! I…read moreremembered the pizza as being exceptional, and had been talking about going back forever. It was a long standing joke between my husband and myself...could this pizza possibly live up to my expectations? And the answer is.... Yup! It is as good as I remembered it to be. The carmelized pan crust looks burnt (they even warn you on the menu that it's supposed to be black), but it's the best part of the pizza. The pizza/tomato sauce was extremely flavorful (not just plain tomatoes like Lou Malnatis or Rosatis). The sausage was delicious, and the onions were sweet. There was a ton of sausage, and lots of onions on the pizza--very generous portions. The mozzarella cheese appetizer was served very hot, and was pretty good. Basically...your typical frozen moz sticks. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. Service was very good. The only negative I can point out is there was an overwhelming mildewy smell when you approach and enter the restaurant. It was very off putting. Overall, this is the best pan pizza I've ever eaten, and as such, I highly recommend Pequod's.

Getting there wasn't the best start. Parking was a challenge, and since there were no available…read morespaces nearby, I had to park about a block away. It was a little frustrating, but I figured the walk would be good exercise before a big meal. The restaurant itself is small and has an older, cozy feel. The dining area is quite compact, so I wouldn't recommend it for large groups or parties. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We only saw our server three times: to take our order, deliver our food, and bring the check. In between, he was nowhere to be found. The lack of attentiveness and hospitality was disappointing. Thankfully, the deep dish pizza completely turned things around. The crust was crispy with a nice char, giving it excellent flavor and texture. The gooey cheese was evenly distributed throughout the pizza, and I appreciated that the sausage came in generous chunks instead of small crumbles. The tomato sauce was well balanced, neither too sweet nor too acidic which tied everything together beautifully. Despite the disappointing service, the pizza alone is worth coming back for. Next time, though, I'll probably order takeout. With service like this, leaving a tip didn't feel well deserved.

The pizza is consistently delicious, with a sauce that's perfectly balanced and clearly made with care. It definitely doesn't taste like the canned stuff you find elsewhere. Every bite is fresh and full of flavor. Their tiramisu is truly next level. It's hands down the best on the North Shore light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. The meatballs are another standout. They taste homemade, not frozen, and they're packed with flavor. The patio is an absolutely adorable. Charming bistro chairs, a beautiful brick floor, ivy covered walls, and umbrellas transport you straight to a European café. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff are always kind and accommodating, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. We just can't stop coming back. Marco Roma is that good. We came here because we saw on seed oil scout that they only use beef tallow and EVOO in their foods and you can really taste the difference. The calamari was crispy on the outside but the meat was tender and it didn't taste greasy at all. The pizza was delicious with a generous amount of toppings. They have desserts such as cannoli that looked delicious but we were too full. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Make sure you read the signs since they can be confusing. Also, they accept any payment except for checks. Do people even bring their checkbooks into restaurants these days? lol. You can dine inside or outside. I believe they have a heated patio outside. We dined inside, it was a shame that we couldn't sit at the booth where Anthony Bourdain's picture is. It was occupied. We ordered cheese curds and a medium sized pizza. For toppings, we chose sausage, mushrooms, and fresh garlic. This is not deep dish pizza, I would say it's more of a pan style. It's not heavy like at Gino's East or Giordano's. It has that famous caramelized crust and that airy dough. The toppings were super fresh. We immediately tasted the garlic. Burt's own special blend of the sausage tasted homemade. If you dine in, they cut it for you. If you take it home, you should already have a pizza cutter in your kitchen. Don't be lazy, it's very inexpensive. The cheese curds were generous and very tasty. They're like bite size mozzarella sticks. Service was great and attentive. Prices were cheap.

This review is for a private celebration party event that I attended here.  It was held in their…read moreback party room, with the back being by the mall entrance.   It was a very nice venue for the event and the space was at its capacity for our party of 49.  There were 3 tables of 12 and 1 table of 13.   The wait staff did a nice job of taking and keeping track of drink orders, and attending to the tables in general.  They also kept the space quite cool on a hot evening.  The menu was comprised of drinks (beer/wine) and a family style meal of 4 courses, including dessert.  Each of the courses was in turn comprised of 2-3 selections.  For example, chicken marsala, penne bolognese, and pan seared salmon were all provided as part of the Entrees course.   The Antipasti course was truffle potato skins and roasted meatballs.  The Pizza and Salad course included a house salad, a truffle mushroom pizza, and a burnt pepperoni pizza.  The Dessert course was bomboloni (hole-less doughnuts with sauces) with an option to order other items like tiramisu or brookie skillets from the regular dessert menu.  This place partners with Celebrity Chef Fabio Viviani and like all of his many restaurants, the quality of every dish here is top-notch and delicious.  The bill is also top-notch, lol, and that is also typical of Chef Fabio's places, but you do basically get what you pay for, and that includes the atmosphere, and it's all satisfying and delicious.  This menu and event ran about $100 pp all in and that covered both the menu and the use of the private room.   One of the servers, I think her name was Emily, was really good, attentive, and efficient, and she was one of those who could take 10 separate drink orders, and come back and find you in the crowd!  She in particular was really nice to have around and she made a difference. As far as the rest of the restaurant, it's a busy, vibrant, and loud place.  The fairly lengthy dining space is kind of compartmentalized into different sections, and there is a full bar both in the middle of the restaurant as well as in the back where we were by the mall entrance.  There is also an open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant.  The second bar in the back really is needed for private events.  They also have a small patio area by their mall entrance.  It looks to be a fun date night kind of restaurant.  Overall, I'll go with a 4.49 star rating rounded down to 4 for our private event with the main knock being that it's all on the somewhat pricey side, but also very good.
