I tried the Pizzalad last summer when in the suburbs and have been thinking about it ever since! Brought two 18" garden pizzalads to my cousins and everyone 8 years old to 65 years old loved it! Wish we could have one closer downtown.

Had this pizza in high school & was excited to work back in the area, to taste a hint from home! I went with the popular salad pizza. I've tried the regular & was obsessed & this time we went with the chicken ceasar salad pizza, and it was to die for. The topping was just right & the crust had a nice crisp to it. I'm drooling writing this. It cost me $34 for a 14in my husband about killed me, so I don't think I will be getting this that often :( it was a great treat though!

My husband had pizza from Pappi's and raves how good they are, so we decided to try them and support a small business during Covid. We ordered pizzas for pick up. It us a small storefront with ample parking. The staff were very friendly and practiced appropriate Covid guidelines. We tried the chicken cesear pizzalad. It is a cold pizza, which is different, but was very good. The crust was thin and crisp. The toppings were plentiful and fresh. The pizza looked like a masterpiece. The cesear dressing was just the right amount so the other ingredients did not become soggy. The rating for this pizza is a 5 star. I would definitely order it again and try the others. We also ordered a sausage pan pizza. We ordered the 14 inch and it was bigger than we expected. The pizza had a little too much dough, but the sausage was good with adequate seasonings. I would definitely try their other pizzas and order again .

I didn't try their pizzalad, but did order their sausage slice and thought it was very delicious. Very inexpensive and worth the price. I also ordered a hot dog thinking the slice would be small and would fill me up. The hot dog was ok, nothing special but did the job. But instead of one little slice, I received to decent sized slices that they serve as one slice. The crust was thick but still had a crunch to it. It had a generous portion of sausage and just the right amount of cheese. The sauce was also very delicious. I not sure if I would ever order their pizzalad but I would definitely return for their slice to go.

I've had 4 out of the 5 pizzalads (haven't tried the southwestern). They're all delicious! My favorite is the Buffalo chicken. Staff was super friendly when ordering. My cat also really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken lol (see pic).

My wife was able to try the pizzalad at work one day and liked it. So we went back a few weeks later when we happened to be in the area. I was skeptical about this pizzalad being good, so I got a cheese pizza for back up just in case I hated it. Customer service was fine and we were told it would be about 30 minutes. The shop is take out only so we left to burn some time. The pizzas were ready on time and we took them home. As weird as it sounds, the pizzalad was better than the cheese pizza. It's made on a thin cracker like crust, which to me serves the purpose of a big round flat crouton. The pizzalad comes with different toppings and we had the original which was lettuce, chopped fresh veggies, and a ranch like dressing swirled around the top. I like the pizzalad. It is inventive, fresh, healthier than the other selections, and delicious so don't be afraid to try one. read more

The pizzalad is incredible. It is nothing like you can get anywhere else. No one else can compare. Period. Everything is beautifully chopped, presented and flavorful. The vegetables are fresh and the crust is perfectly thin and crispy. It is light and healthy while being so, so delicious. What a gem. If you're not super local, it is worth the drive. This pizza salad is different and cool. The price needs to be a little cheaper for a salad pizza because there is no meat and meat is expensive not lettuce. Over $40 for one pizza without meat. I do call it a pizza salad. All the topping go perfect together. read more

The pizza from here is extremely well made and is especially good for any thin-crust lovers. The vegetables from their famous Pizzalad always taste fresh and their other non-vegetarian pizzas are tasty without being too greasy. While Pappi's does not offer a dine-in option, its decor creates an aesthetic and inviting ambiance inside the shop. They always have my orders warm and ready in 25 minutes or so and have kept a standard of excellence throughout their years of service. read more

I would say it's pretty good. They are mainly known for their pizzasalad // pizza by the slice. The cheese is pretty good. It is definitely more solid that soft, I guess. I don't have it all the time, but once in a while is good. read more

I had Pappi's Pizza few times. The Pizzalad is amazing. Would highly recommend it. Pan pizza is average. Thin pizza is good however there was hardly any toppings on it. It's pricey compared to other places however if you are ordering the pizzalad then it's worth it read more

So in love with their Pizz'alad! If your looking for an alternative to regular pizza this is your go to. The crust is so tasty and has a Big Crunch to it. Great for vegetarians. The service/delivery is always quick and on time. This pizza is something to be enjoyed right away if left over night the crust will be soggy. read more

It's all about the pizzalad. WTF is this creation and where has it been all my life? Picture a very thin, very crispy pizza crust topped with the coolest, freshest veggies and lettuce and some kind of magical sauce SERVED COLD and you have a pizzalad. I'm under no delusion that this is healthy, but it's got to be a better option than cheese and pepperoni on top of that crust. I'm a huge veggie lover and this hit the spot. I have pizzalad cravings very regularly. I can't explain it. They're addicting. read more

Decent pizza by the slice. It's not exactly to my taste--a bit thicker, stiffer crust with cheese more solid than stringy--but the quality is good. And they offer only plain, sausage, and pepperoni; I like it when a place lets you add any toppings you want. But the price is right and the people are nice. Pizza-by-the-slice joints are rare enough that I appreciate all of those that I come across. Pappi's is next door to a pretty sharp smartphone repair shop, so this is very convenient if one finds oneself with an hour to kill over lunchtime while they fix one's busted-up phone screen. Just have to share how much I love the pizzalad here. It is the perfect appetizer to bring to a party. It is what I bring to every party, and it always disappears quickly! The vegetables are always fresh, and it just feels light, yet delicious. Definitely not heavy! Location is a little odd and easy to miss, if you are picking up food. They do deliver, too! Closed on Sundays. Be sure to check the website for nightly specials/promotions, although they never apply on the pizzalad. read more

Ordered a pizza and they put ranch all over when I specifically asked for it on the side. Called to ask if they could send another one (even just a much smaller size) and the worker said he would be fine with me never ordering ever again from their restaurant and hung up on me. read more

What a lovely place and a lovely woman behind the counter. We are vegan, and the pizzas are not. She has accommodated us probably 50 times, and got the order perfect every single time. We moved a few towns over but make special trips for this pizzasalad. We make our own vegan ranch dressing and buy vegan sour cream to go with it and it is so crisp, so fresh, so delicious. read more

This is right in the middle of a residential area and these people who can just open their front door and walk a few steps to some Pizza are living the dream. The building is pretty small for the amount of people that they squeeze in there. But they were extremely accommodating with us and squeezing in some extra people at our table, which was much appreciated. We had a reservation, which was 100% the right move for how busy this place gets. I had done some research on what their pizza was like so I wasn't surprised when I saw the crust, which some people might think is burnt but it is not. Instead it is caramelized. It was definitely interesting and unlike other versions of Chicago Deep Dish I have tried. The sauce was also quite good. If I'm being 100% honest, this wasn't my favorite Deep Dish I had while in Chicago but it was definitely in the top contenders.
