    Drunken and Tony Pepperoni pizzas
    Katie A.

I've been wanting to try the Pizza Vita food truck for ages and finally got it for dinner last week! The crust is perfect, not too heavy but not too thin. The vodka sauce on the Drunken pizza was so flavorful. It was definitely the favorite of the two pizzas we tried. The Tony Pepperoni could've used a little more meat and cheese, I don't know that we'd order that one again. Overall, we really enjoyed Pizza Vita food truck and would get it again the next time it comes to our area.

*Pre COVID Review* I had the pleasure of having Pizza Vita at Pier 13, along side a line of other food trucks. The fact that this food truck had a brick oven was what drew me in. At the time, $10 for a personal pie (12'') sounded like a great deal to me. Nowadays, I believe the cost of pies have increased. (I understand cost of products fluctuate however become discouraged when prices continuously change). They have a variety of pies to choose from. Being that it was my first time, we went ahead and ordered a Plain Jane and a Tony Pepperoni. I wouldn't say it was the best pizza I've had because the bottom of the pie could have been more evenly cooked (we had ordered 3 or 4 pies), but it was great for what it was.. Especially if you've had a few drinks at the pier. Pizza Vita is cash only **

I recently went to an outside graduation party and this pizza food truck was hired. It was great, as we had access to unlimited pizza, for 2 hours. I must say, this pizza tasted great. I love brick oven pizza , it's my favorite. It was really cool to see the pizza being made outside and cooked in 90 seconds. I tried the margarita pie, meathead pie, and the pepperoni pie. My favorite was the meathead, since it had multiple toppings lol, but honestly all of them we excellent. The mozzarella cheese and sauce both worked well, on their dough, and cooked in the awesome oven in the truck. Its such a great idea to hire a pizza food truck for a party. I loved it. Even after the 2 hour window, they made extra pie and put them in boxes, for guests to take home. I recommend everyone try this place.

The pizza here is solid. Super impressed with this wood fire oven pizza from a *truck*! The service is quick and pizza is tasty. I ordered, turned around to admire the view at Pier 13 for a bit, and BAM the pizza was ready. I had the margherita pizza: the crust was nice, thin and crispy, the cheese was melty, gooey with a few crispy bits. Pretty much perfect. *smacks lips*

I have had their pizza from their truck in Hoboken and I was amazed! I didn't think it could get any better but I was prove wrong. This place has such amazing pizza that will want you going back every single day. The staff is very friendly and made my order in a timely manner. Best pizza around

    Tartufi Pizza

Went for Lunch Food - 3/5. The tartufi special was disappointing. Since one of their goals are to pop the pizzas in 90 seconds, not much roasting gets done for the toppings. The mushrooms were wet and the sausages could've used more browning. The toppings were completely uneven with half of the pie receiving 75% of the toppings and the lack of care visually impacts your meal. Crust was very average with none of the elasticity you would want in a brick oven pizza. Service - 3/5. The harborside area is visited by a lot of people who come down for lunch in the limited time they have. Being demanded to engage in small talk past a simple greeting seems pretty audacious to me when the other party has no idea what kind of situation the customer might be in. A bad feeling when you're the one spending your money. Value - 2/5. I understand the limitations of not having a permanent kitchen but it's hard for me to overlook that the food was subpar. The prices aren't bad for a personal pie between $10-$12 but if the pizza itself isn't good, it seems even more expensive. The prices are also average in comparison to the competitors but they only accept cash, which is another minus. Parking - Parking Garage (Metered)

    Buffalina and Jersey Boy pizzas

This is the second time coming to Pizza Vita and to my surprise, there wasn't a wait on a Saturday night. I ordered the Buffalina and Jersey Boy pizzas to share with one other person and it was the perfect amount of food. Their service was great and the pizzas came out fast. They tasted amazing; I love how they don't skimp on the toppings! I only wish the bottom of the pizzas were a bit more crisp so they wouldn't get soggy so fast. In all, a good experience. I will definitely come back to try their other pizzas!

Taste okay. They recently increase $2 per pizza ($12 each now). It's a bit pricey for a small pizza.

Not a very good pizza for the price. Sauce is so sweet it tastes like ketchup and the pizza came out under baked.

Excellent pizza. Crust is crispy yet chewy made in their wood burning oven. Breakfast pizza is by far my favorite.

Even though I am a Louis Prima fan (sorry for the obscure reference) the bone to meat ratio just doesn't make up for the higher fat content. At least for me. This guys ribs changed that. You don't eat these ribs so much as you hold them up and allow the meat to dive into your mouth like an Olympian off the 10 meter platform. They are that good. And I have eaten enough brisket in my life that writing a review including a reference to pork is probably something I shouldn't do publicly, but his is top notch. Lastly, I come on this site and often see reviews regarding the personal nature of the proprietor of the business, which are sometimes so vicious and misplaced, it is not a mystery why the writers of South Park want to feed some of the members of this site what they want to feed them. To that end, if you have a problem with either Dan or his staff, I would have to say that the problem is most likely with you. They couldn't be nicer, more courteous and helpful. I know that sounds like a lot for serving somebody BBQ but those fairgrounds on a weekend can be a certified nuthouse. At no time did I see anyone lose their patience or desire to help the customers. Five stars all the way.
