Pizza on 40th is a godsend. It's the exact kind of pizza I've been looking to fill the void ever since Tessio's closed. When I found them, tears welled in my eyes. This is a good pie but it's very expensive and this is from somebody who is not nearly as cost conscious as they wish they were. They also nickel and dime you for a topping like garlic. It's minced garlic from a jar that they charge you full price for. A 'three topping' (pepperoni, sausage and garlic) pizza and a two liter is $30 before tip. Includes a $3 delivery charge, which is hard to stomach when gas is $2. Not recommended when other pizzerias are more affordable in the area with better product. read more

I passed by this pizza shop and noticed the 'people love us on Yelp' sticker on the front of their building! After reading all of their reviews my boyfriend and I decided to order to-go and boom, the rest is history! Fast forward 3 months later and here we are, still enjoying their scrupulously delicious philly cheesecake sandwiches, pastas, and pizza specials. Their ranch is so good I could drink it, but they do charge you extra for sauces which I don't really agree with. Pizza is good - reminds me of Sabarros. New York style cuts and crust. You can get them by the slice, which is handy if you don't need a full pizza. Cheesy bread and breadsticks are great. Steer clear of the wings as they're pretty runny and greasy. Head to JT's down the street for that. read more

Horrible customer service. Wanted lunch deal. Doesn't even tell you the one I wanted is included. Charged me full price 13.00 and change for two slices. No communication about what I wanted not included. Then I asked why they didn't tell me up front. Flips me a 10 and tells me to "get out of my store". Wouldn't even give me my whole 13.00 back. It was Friday night and we were exhausted, so we decided to call it a movie night! A movie night isn't complete without pizza, of course! Our usual go-to pizza delivery place is Rosati's but we decided to switch it up a bit! Pizza on 40th recently took over the old local neighborhood spot, Mamma Mia, so we gave it a whirl. We ordered a small pizza with mushrooms and artichoke hearts along with a Greek salad. The pizza was good, not the best that i've ever had but it did the trick. Their ranch gets 5 stars, for sure! The salad was GREAT! It was loaded with veggies and feta. I also loved the dressing that it came with. For a small pizza and Greek salad, our bill was $36 including tip & delivery. I did think that was a little steep for the amount of food that we ordered, but hey, I guess you pay for being lazy? The delivery WAS speedy though, which was a plus! Since it is convenient and in the 'hood, i'm sure we'll order from here again. read more

OK - we were so sad and bummed when Momma Mias didn't come back. It was our go-to pizza place and it killed us! The we found out about this and were sooooo excited. Now normally, I think you would want places to be different or unique or doing their own thing, but I am so happy that these guys kept to the simple amazing pizza they had before! Their pizza is delish and the girl who works the counter is the sweetest! I've had a slice there and have taken pizza home before the the crust stays nice and crispy! Super reasonably priced. For sure my new go to pizza place. Pizza is still the best I have ever. I kid you not- I ordered a delivery around 6 on Friday night and my pizza was sitting on my counter within 20 minutes. Wanted some quick Pasta for the kids and this place did not disappoint. 5 of us went and got different pastas and we all loved it. Very tasty and definitely going again. Very little seating space but they had a few tables outside. Will be back next time we are in that part of town. read more

I loved it when it was Mama Mia's and still love it today. Their pizza is my all time favorite. It's close to work so their lunch time 2 slice special is perfect. Service I always fast and cashier who takes your order is always friendly and probably knows me but how much I go in. I have yet to try their pasta dishes but everything sounds so good. read more

This business refuses to put toppings on a quarter of the pizza. We asked for a large cheese pizza with a quarter pepperoni. Not a difficult request. They argued and fought on the phone, saying to go to a different pizzeria. "We can only do half. We can only do half." Is this what you call customer service? Is it impossible to stop yourself from putting on more pepperoni? I asked them to charge me for half pepperoni, I just want it on a fourth of the pizza. They resisted and refused, saying it's against their policy. Any other pizza place in the valley would gladly fulfill this order. It just doesn't make sense. What happened to taking care of the customer? Why would you turn away a loyal customer? I used to frequent here but not after this horrible experience with their management. First time I ever ordered and even though the driver seemed very annoyed that he was lost trying to find our house, the food was amazing and still warm. The sauce that meatballs came in was perfect and this is coming from my New York Italian family. We all loved the sausage and the meatballs.
