I'm Giving them 3 stars just for being the only damn place that's open on Sunday around here! I guess these businesses don't want to make money during tourist season, and don't want happy customers. I had the "Philly cheesesteak"- it was good, but it wasn't a Philly cheesesteak. It was roast beef with liquid cheese sauce and aujus sauce, peppers and onions. I highly suggest they change the name of this sandwich, because although it was a very tasty sandwich, if an east coaster like myself comes in expecting a real Philly cheesesteak, they may be disappointed. The fries were good and the side salad was good for a pizza shop, real romaine lettuce, not bagged mushy purple lettuce and the oil and vinegar dressing was good. My kids said the pizza wasn't that good. It's thick crust and doughy. We prefer thin crispy crust with authentic sauce and cheese. Pizza is just "ok". Overall a good choice, especially the sandwiches, and especially on a Sunday! read more

Here to visit Mount Rushmore, the wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't the same old food as back home. We found this place on yelp and I will say this is great pizza. To preface my review, I do have pretty high standards for pizza since we live in Berkeley, CA and are spiked with all the artisanal pizza shops. We ordered the vegetarian which had mushrooms, onions, green peppers and was decent. I was not blown away by the flavors or the crust but it was edible. Beers were also $2.50 a bottle which was a good price. Service was fast, the people were polite and if you are craving pizza in Custer, then this is a good place. read more

Pizza Mill gives you so much food! The group I'm traveling with stopped in 2 days ago and we're still eating leftovers. We got to this place around 7:30 at night, not knowing they closed at 8. We had a party of 8 people and as soon as we started ordering and said we would be eating there, the employee said we should've called 2 hours earlier so they could be prepared. After we ordered, they also turned customers away because they didn't have enough space. However, the pizza was delicious. Between our group we got 2 calzones, a medium pizza, and a large pizza. The crust is so delicious and acts more like an extra breadstick than typical crust. I would recommend this place for the pizza; but if you are going with a big group, I would advise ordering takeout so you can do things while you wait for the pizza and they have a little more time. read more

Small little place, and all the staff working was too young to serve alcohol. We waited in line for quite a while to have our order taken. There was only two customers ahead of us and it took at least 15 minutes to take our order, but it also only took about 15 minutes for our food to come. Pizza was very tasty and filling. There are three places in Custer that you can get pizza, but there is really only one option if you're wanting a GOOD pizza in Custer -that is, the Pizza Mill. This is a terrific, family run pizza restaurant that puts out some truly decent pies. They also have terrific non-pizza items (my daughter LOVES the wings, and my wife goes for the gyro with a side-salad). While it is true that their green peppers are sliced and not diced (I say this in the hopes that they will read this and repent someday:-D), not even this is enough to remove a star from their rating. If you are in the neighborhood and needing a pizza fix, they're definitely worth checking out! read more
