Solid, no frills deli with delicious (and customizable) sandwiches. Friendly staff, not too long of a wait even when it's crowded for lunch.

I don't know what it's like when it's busy because on the day we arrived, the entire area was a ghost town. Not even sleepy - no cars on the road and this cafe was even still opening. Walk in, order and find a seat. Not a lot of seating but there's both indoors and out. We chose to sit indoors as it was a little warm and I didn't want to be out under the sun. See pics of the food. Wanted salad. I tend to always want salad. Went with the Springfield. Crisp and fresh - really enjoyed the toppings and dressing. Harmony. That's how I'd describe this salad. I'd definitely have it again. Grabbed the Hot Springs. Wanted a cold sandwich. Wanted an Italian. Closest I could find and the vinaigrette was even on the side so I could add as much or as little as I wanted. I remember enjoying this sandwich so much I considered grabbing a second for the road. However, we're traveling and gotta try other foods and places. This would be one place I'd go back to if or when I find myself back in Rapid City. This cafe is connected to the brewery (Hay Camp Brewing). In fact, that's where the restrooms are if you need it.

The sandwiches were amazing as was the service! Definitely…read morego back again - We shared a Reuben & the Sturgis

My sandwich was average compared to the other Jimmy John's I go to. My cookie tasted stale. I approached one of the male employees (no name tags) and tried to explain that the cookie didn't taste fresh, but his "Gourmet Sandwich Maker" title was apparently the reason why I couldn't possibly be right. He was arrogant. I couldn't finish explaining when he interrupted and said "it's impossible for the cookie to be stale, we just took them out of the freezer this morning and we switch them out twice a day". Well twice a day is hard to believe, but regardless the cookie tasted stale and I guess my opinion meant nothing in his expert mindset. Shortly afterwards, I saw him explain to the supervisor what had happened. The sup didn't bother trying to correct the situation either. For this young man I will add, arrogance is a career killer. Sure, JJ is unlikely his career path, but he needs to learn before he tries moving on. This is how arrogance will hurt your career- You will be so convinced that you are right, you will dismiss the opinions and suggestions of others. You will cut people off and push your solution. Even if you end up being right, repeatedly cutting off others is disrespectful and says, "I know best, so don't even bother telling me what you think." Over time, people around you will be quiet. I was never offered another cookie, a refund or even an apology. Mediocre food and arrogant employees will keep me away from this Jimmy John's and this is why they end up with only two stars.

I wish i could give 0 stars all of the employees are so rude especially the young girl in the drive…read morethru with the piercings. Horrible experience every time i go

If you want a local spot with heart and the best homemade pie in the world, stop here. Whatever you order, get the potato salad on the side. Trust me on this! And for the love of all that is holy, get a piece of pie. It might be the best coconut cream pie I've ever had. Our server (was her name Jenny? Maybe?) was incredible and was literally running circles around everyone else working. For real. I assumed she was the owner, but I asked, and she wasn't. I hope they appreciate her because I'm pretty sure she could run the world! What are you waiting for? Go get the pie!!!

Website said breakfast all day. Ordered coffee and orange juice. When drinks arrived and we tried to order breakfast we were told it was too late.(?) Put in order for sandwiches. Thirty minutes later waitress informed us Lincoln chicken salad sandwich wasn't available. From the time we sat on the deck until our sandwiches arrived so they have was a full hour. No joke. I won't be back. Have better things to do than wait on food all day.
