I came to Moab to visit Arches. After a long day of hiking, looking around town for food wasn't something I had a desire to do. I checked Yelp and Pizza Hut showed it delivered. After calling in my order I was told they don't deliver because my hotel was too far away. Huh, I was staying at the Fairfield Marriott next to the river. Google maps said it was 3 miles away and would take 6 minutes. WTF national brand pizza delivery restaurant doesn't deliver at 3 miles away??? [angry look on my face] Ok, so now I've ordered, I'm starving, and I don't want to search further. I suck it up and take the 22' RV a whopping and undeliverable 3 miles down the road to Pizza Hut. Upon pulling the rolling beast into the parking lot what do I see? Two cars with delivery signs on their roofs. Incredible the stupidity of this. The pizza I ordered was a Chicken Bacon Parmesan. It sounded delicious. Back at the hotel, I opened the box and the pie had an oddball slice (see image). Never have seen that in my life????? It was as if, someone took a slice out and replaced it with a smaller slice of another pizza. Mind blown. Taste. I'll keep it simple, nothing to write home about. I will say, the tastes inspired me to warn others. This is NOT the pizza you are looking for. Bottom line, a mildly ambitious person needs to open a Dominos Pizza in the area that delivers fresh hot pies. Trust me, you will kill it in Moab. There are 7 hotels on the north end of town. Some of them new and without dining options. Travelers are hungry after a long day of hiking and don't want to trudge around town looking for things to eat after a long day. Listen.. Is Pizza Hut my first personal choice when I'm in Moab? Nah. Is it close to the top? Nah. Is it my first choice anywhere? Nope. But when you come into town with a tight budget to feed a bunch of kids after a day on the river, you just sorta go with the flow. So, with there being many other options out there I'd personally go to first, I have to say that Pizza Hut wasn't a bad option for the group's needs. It's an older building, and one of those order at the counter kind of spots where you go sit down and they bring you your food, and it was air-conditioned wonderfully (a MUST on a scorching day like we've been having) and clean restrooms, which are perfect for the camping weary. We arrived pretty early, and there was no line and very few other customers. Our food came out quick, and was definitely on par with Pizza Hut pizza as it should be. I'd probably not go for the salad bar, but the pizza was A-OK. There was a dude there who was training someone else, and this guy seemed to be way on top of things. When it started to get more crowded, he was busing tables and taking orders on the second register, and had his hustle on. We fed our group, and they were happy. This is a decent option for those who just want to get a quick meal and aren't into real epicurean adventures. read more

Several months ago a fire caused this Pizza Hut to close its doors and begin renovation. Before then, we'd tried them several times and each experience was different; sometimes good, sometimes not so much. Since renovating, we decided to try it out again and see how much had been changed, if anything at all. While the interior looked much cleaner, the table we were seated at was uneven and rocking; seems the furniture didn't get changed after the fire. Our waitress, Jaraka, was young and yet dour faced; we cracked a few jokes at her, but no smile, just a "Are you ready to order?" After giving her our drink order, we began perusing the menu; I ended up ordering the Everyday Meal Deal for $6.99. From column A, I chose the personal pan pizza with ground beef, red onions and diced tomatoes; from column B I chose the pepperoni rolls. My husband ordered a hand tossed supreme and a side order of the boneless chicken wings. He looked at the salad bar, but $3.49 for a one trip plate seemed a little too much to charge for what was offered. After receiving our drinks and meal items I began photographing; and that is when the waitress became much friendlier and smiled now; stopping by our table often to see how everything was, or if we needed anything. My personal pan pizza was not bad; the crust was just browned, very bread like, but the toppings were good. My husband's pizza was more darkly browned and crisp; he liked the crust and all the toppings. The boneless chicken wings were an absolute joke; they were buffalo seasoned chicken nuggets. In fact, when I went grocery shopping the next day, I showed my husband a bagged item in the frozen food section with the same photo of the nuggets on the package. After the fire and renovating, we were looking for a Pizza Hut that had become better; we were disappointed in many aspects - interior, wait staff, and food quality. However, it is a popular chain restaurant in a busy tourist area, so they will probably do well in the long run. read more

The staff definitely seems to have an "I don't give a crap" attitude. Now it was a Saturday night at 7pm but it sure didn't seem that busy. We ordered two pizzas to go and watched pizzas just stack up on the oven and sit while there was no rush to get them in boxes. One guy seemed to be the "get it done" guy but everyone else was just putsing along with no hustle. Stood in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting for our to go order. About once every couple of years I get talked into going to Pizza Hut by my kids or grandkids. From now on I will definately decline. The waitress (Mary)saw us come in, made eye contact and smiled and then proceeded to go get the carpet sweeper and clean, then arrange silverware on the tables, then stop to chat with one of the three tables that were there, then walk over and adjust the shades, then put the carpet sweeper away, THEN come seat us while exclaiming "I didn't see you come in and I am sooooo busy" She didn't bring any menus but walked up to the table with her pad open and asked us what we wanted. I told her a menu would be nice, and she actually rolled her eyes at me and once again told me how busy she was and pointed out that we weren't the only ones in the place. Yes, Mary, I knew that, but we are your fourth table, you really weren't THAT busy. It was then that I noticed there were two other servers on staff. Once she grumpily took our order, she brought drinks and plopped them on the table, not even trying to put on an air of service. She brought the wings about 15 minutes later and asked if we needed anything. I told her yes, we could use some napkins, which got me another eye roll and when she brought them, she sort of chucked them on the table and walked off. After bringing the pizza we never saw her again. I had to get silverware from another table, and we never got a refill on drinks and no water. There is also no music in the place, but you can pay for internet juke box which cost $1 per song and the speakers are so bad you cannot hear the music. There are two other really good pizza places in town. There is NO reason to get a greasy, crappy pizza AND be treated rudely at Pizza Hut. The sad thing is, I believe Mary is the manager or assistant manager. As a long time Moab resident I warn you off this place. Try Paradox Pizza or Zax. FAR better food than Pizza Hut and you will definately get better service. read more

We ordered the tree hugger large pizza with a thin crust. I picked it up after ordering by phone. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up in 10 minutes wanting it hot. It was just coming out of the oven as I got to pick up. It was a good pizza. Not great, but good. The price was great. They charge for pepper & salt. They do not have any crushed red pepper. We had a great experience with this Pizza Hut. Glad I didn't let the poor reviews scare us away. Manager inside told me they recently took over the franchise location and they were working to improve their image. They sure impressed us. I ordered pizza online using their website at 5:02pm and was surprised their order confirmation said my order would be ready at 5:15pm. We drove there, went inside and was amazed to see my order coming out of the oven right then! By the time I paid, my two pizzas and order of cheese bread sticks were boxed and sitting by my side. On the way out, they heard we were doing a picnic so they grabbed me paper plates, napkins, cups, lids, straws, and forks! Out the door with lava hot pizza, you should have seen my wife's face as I handed her the goods. So fast! We were driving through Utah on our way back to Idaho and about 20 miles from Moab decided we wanted pizza. The reviews weren't the best, but we decided to try it anyway. I called in our order for eating in and by the time we got there the pizza was ready. Devon brought our pizza and showed us to our booth then got our drinks. We had a long day on the road driving our RV and didn't feel like cooking or going out. We decided to have a pizza delivered to our RV park and called the local Pizza Hut here in Moab. It arrived accurate, on time and more importantly HOT! I've had pizza that wasn't this hot when I dined in at a pizza joint! We just arrived home last night (San Francisco bay area) after a 3,400 mile motorcycle trip that included the Moab area. We left Colorado Springs this past Sunday morning after participating in Saturday's annual Fallen Firefighter ceremony at the National Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado Springs. We expected to stay Sunday night in Moab. After a long day of riding, it became apparent that no hotel rooms were available in or near Moab. We found a place along the Colorado River about 10 miles out of town that we could park the motorcycles and bed down for the night (without camping gear). Pizza for dinner after a long day seemed a great idea. Bikes were parked, "camp" setup and stomachs growling. We had very limited cell service, but managed to get a phone call to Betty at Pizza Hut. She was amazingly helpful and patient with the five or six dropped calls as I tried to get her the pizza order and delivery location. Betty comfirmed that they would deliver us pizza to our camp miles up Highway 128. The delivery arrived 45 minutes later as promised just as we were getting ready to reenact the Donner Party! My friends and I had one of the 2 pizza w/ pasta and breadsticks specials delivered to our hotel, but when they arrived both pizzas were the wrong kind. The delivery driver told us he could drive back and have them remake it (another 45mins) or we could contact the store later to figure something out. I went in to the pizza hut the next day and talked with the manager Scott and he said it was no problem for them to make us new pizzas, even though it was the next day! We have ordered from Pizza Hut here in Moab several times. The last time we did my wife got food poisoning from the pizza. I called to inform them that something is wrong and finally got the manager. The manager was adamant that there is nothing wrong with the pizza toppings. I was not trying to cause trouble, just letting them know so someone else would not get sick.
