Been more than 10 years since eating a Pizza Hut pizza, since everyone in the family has a more preferred pizza chain. But a TV commercial stating that a 3 topping large pizza, any style ($10 for carryout) caught my attention. So tried it, and it turned out pretty good. I've been meaning to try their 'new' tavern-style (mimicking Chicago's thin crust) pizza for a while. So downloaded the app while driving back from Kauai's North Shore, and ordered/paid for the single pizza while my wife drove. The timing worked out well, with us arriving 30 minutes after ordering . Of course, in Hawaii it was quite a bit more than $10 ($17 in this case). I got an order confirmation email soon after. This location is a dine-in restaurant, mimicking the style from 40 years ago. There was a flat screen with status of orders placed, and my name was on it with a status of 'complete'. There were pizza warming ovens accessible so first thought I was supposed to self-pick it up (like a delivery driver). But it was empty, so waited until I could get a teenagers attention. He got the pizza box from a warming oven, handed it over without much effort and we drove back 10 minutes to our hotel. The pizza was good, especially with the bottled Corona we had back in the room. The toppings of cupped pepperoni, Italian sausage, and canned pineapple was surprisingly generous with a decent amount of cheese, all covered right to the end of the crust. It was cut into squares, and I think it would tasted really good if eaten right out of the oven...so dining in might be the way to go here. read more

For years I've been ordering Pizza Hut , pizzas . I just thought they were The BEST! Great tasting dough, variety of toppings with many options and pleasant people delivering a Wonderful tasting pizza However in early September 2022, I ordered the same type pizza with extra cheese . It was very dry, with few toppings and no extra cheese.. Guess they don't CARE anymore. I must tell you, based on the delivered product, I don't want that experience repeated!!! I dont care for their buffet due to dressings are limited, sometime their salads is old, you dont get much for salads. Pizza is okay but theres no pan thin crust pizza, service is okay could be better if they knew customer service, bathroom needs to be upgraded (smelly n old), and restaurant could use some deep cleaning. Oh golly, this place was amazing! It's been 30 years since we first started coming to this island. Me and my wife Linda have been to this Pizza Hut in Lihue countless times since than. Every time we come it's never disappoints. The pizza I ordered tonight was cheesy, meaty and had just the right amount of shrooms. This pizza was so delightful! The moment I took my first bite of this pizza huts pizza it brought me back. Back to when me and Linda first got married. During our first day of our honey moon in Kauai Linda was craving a Hawaiian pizza. For some reason she believed pineapples belonged on pizza, which I still disagree with but they always say "happy wife happy life". But anyway back to Pizza Hut review: this pizza was amazing so was the service the woman at the counter was so friendly and had a nice smile Linda was almost jealous. We love Lihue Pizza Hut, especially after the closure of our Kapa'a Pizza Hut. Our orders have always been correct, double-checked, and organized (extra sauces in a separate bag). The customer service is wonderful. The ladies we've interacted with have always been helpful and kind, not to mention that they make sure our orders are correct by checking them and the receipt, repeating it back to us. All the workers, front and back of the house, seem to have great work ethic! We also love the fact that Lihue Pizza Hut has a daily buffet that's affordable, probably one of the most affordable ones on the island. We are excited to order from them again and hope to visit their buffet soon! read more

This review is for the Lihue location. Ordered contactless check-out. Notified them of my arrival. Manager came out and asked my name. 15 minutes later, half hour after I ordered, called to check on my order and manager came running out with part of it. They forgot to make an item and gave me a complimentary Pepsi. They told me it would be another 15 minute wait. All-in-all, it took me 45 minutes to get my order. This is the second time I've been to this location. Never a problem with Kalaheo. If you can, order from them. read more

Worst Pizza Hut ever. The entire front of the restaurant was covered in stuff they should've had in the back. They didn't have restrooms and you had to pay for ranch. It's already expensive enough and there was only like 4 booths to sit at. When we walked in, we didn't think it was open. It was terrible. Don't go here and go spend your money elsewhere. read more

Pizza took 1hr and 20m for delivery after telling me it would be 50m. I called 2x and was told it should be here any minute. When it was finally delivered it was cold. This is not the first time they screwed up my order. On top of that we just checked our bank statement and we were double charged from this Lihue store. Called the Pizza Hut call center and they said Lihue manager apologized and will reverse one charge and it will take 5-7 business days. read more

When I visited here last week I was very pleasantly surprised that it did not take the usual 20 minutes to order at the table. The food was ready fast and we were able to enjoy a very simple, but nice salad bar. Very good and we kept our budget for a family of 4 at $30.00. read more

Tried to eat cheap one night and found they had a pizza buffet. I tried to stick with the fresh pizzas, but they just weren't very good. Believe it or not, the cheese pizza was the most greasy. We told them the cinnamon pizza was old and stale so they immediately replaced it with a fresh one. At least they tried to get it right. The breadsticks were fresh, but something wasn't right with them. They were flat and not very good. I will probably avoid Pizza Hut buffets after this experience. We were greeted by a cranky older man who didn't even say hello. He asked if we wanted the buffet or menu. I said menu. He then grabbed two menus and then quickly walked to a table and walked away before we even got near the table. Quite rude....We sat down and after about five minutes of sitting decided that the lack of professionalism from their staff man deserved only one thing.... us to leave this place of business and not order anything from them. read more

Had a friend's son's bday party here. Unfortunately, they don't do reservations which is why it only had four stars from me. But we got there in time and there was about 15 of us and we were able to snag tables and chairs for the middle. We had a special which was buy a large at regular price and then buy however many mediums after that for $5/pie. Which isn't a bad price for that. 8 of my family members wanted to dine in at this Pizza Hut and my one daughter wanted to get subway across the street. We joined my family as they were eating their pizza so we could eat as a family. Literally the only other person inside the facility was someone ordering a pizza to go. The manager rudely asked my daughter and I to leave and wouldn't allow my family to eat together, even though I paid for their meal at Pizza Hut! Very rude and unnecessary. For $15.99, the all you can eat dinner buffet is worth it. The pizza pans were never empty and the salad bar had plentiful pineapple and bacon bits. For a value meal after a hard day of hiking or paddling, I'd definitely do this again. I expected less, bravo Pizza Hut. read more

Horrible experience trying to place an order. Called at 10:45 to confirm, we could order still they said yes as long as the order is in by 11 and that we are aware it's an hour until pick up would be ready because they are backed up. Told them it was totally fine we were willing to wait the hour. So Hung up got the full order and called back at 10:50 to place my order after 10 minutes of being on the phone and discussing the order, the lady comes back on the phone and goes I'm so sorry it's 11:01 we can't place the order anymore and they won't wait 20 minutes for a customer to pick up their order...when I was told twice that the wait would be an hour and it would be okay. We were finished with the order and everything, it was confirmed at 10:59. She is talking to someone in the background while I'm waiting and comes back at that time 11:01 and tells me she can't do it. Proceeded to tell her this is not okay we called at 10:50 to place the order and everything, she says give me one minute... she comes back on the phone at 11:05 and says yes sorry I called they won't do it when it was also almost a $75 order. (Sorry Pizza Hut your loss) We had even called for a cab to come be picked up since we are visiting on vacation and just landed and wound up having to cancel the cab then too. Pizza was decent but the delivery guy seemed a little out of it . Maybe just a bad day but either way he seemed nice and was very kind. The pizza turned out fine and was pretty much the same you'd expect from any other Pizza Hut, and the delivery was right on time. Nothing special, but it made for a great comfort food dinner nonetheless. read more

Prepare to be disappointed. Although the pizza is pretty good, they only bring out a few pizzas at a time for the buffet and then you sit for long periods of time waiting for more pizza. The salad bar is pretty sparse. Only a limited variety of dressings and there are no bacon bits. read more

It took 10 minutes on the phone to order my pizza. The girl told me they don't deliver to my hotel, I knew that was incorrect. So I explained the address clearly and she realized they actually do deliver here. The pizza driver called me... she was at the wrong hotel. So by the time she arrived to the correct hotel, my pizza was cold. The price was similar to the mainland, so that was nice. read more

I ordered at 5:09pm, with an estimated delivery of 40-50 minutes. I missed a call but no message was left. At 6:15pm, I called the store, who said the order was en route. At 6:40pm, i received another call (same # as missed call); driver was en route and asked me to meet at lobby. Met at lobby and returned to condo, only to find order was screwed up and they gave me a wrong item pizza. Manager offered to refund the money of the pizza or send the right one.....at this point it was futile to get proper service or food. Heads up management.....get your drivers to know the area and the resorts they deliver to. If they can't find the condo, try leaving a message if the call doesn't get answered. It's not rocket science, its customer service 101. read more

This was quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever had. The sausage was dried out, crust burnt, and minimal sauce. For a cheap dinner on an expensive island, it was barely palatable. No one would touch it the morning after either. Blah! read more

Dinner buffet Wednesday thru Sunday 5:30pm to 8:30pm! This was one of the better Pizza Hut buffets I've been to... and I've seen a lot! Every pizza was fresh and hot! They always had a pepperoni and cheese out which was good for picky eaters. They also had a couple good pastas along with breadsticks. The only thing they didn't have much of was desert, but they still had a cinnamon pizza out (which was decent). The buffet also came with a fountain drink. $13.99 per person, not too bad. Stopped by this Pizza Hut after a long day on a Napali Coast tour, and just wanted something to take back to the hotel room. The wait was pretty long, and they weren't very busy. We waited for about 30 minutes, and when we saw what looked like our pizza get placed in the box and put on the heating rack, we expected to hear our names called. We didn't. Luckily, we were paying attention and knew it was our pizza; Otherwise, we could have waited longer! Still, no one was up front at the register to give us our pizza, as the lady that made the pizza went back to the makeline or a back office, and out of sight. After waiting 2 or 3 minutes up front, we finally claimed our pizza and got out of there. The pizza was delicious, but the wait: unacceptable. read more

I think this is the world's most expensive pizza hut. We love pizza hut and it's almost become a joke that we go even when on vacation if we see one. With that said, I know it's on an island, but for the prices you can get much better food nearby. I think they charge more than double the price of the buffet as they do in Indiana and the pizza was sub-par (compared to only other pizza huts). Will save our pizza hut trips for the mainland from now on. read more
