We ordered delivery from there recently however and the crust was incredibly thin so much so that it was difficult to hold and eat without each slice almost falling apart. I was bit a surprised. Meh...ordered from here a few times since last posting: the meats were chinsy, they diced the olives (whereas Commercial location gave whole kalamatas), and they were scant on the cheese. Honestly the best pie I ever got from this franchise was a delivery from Burnaby, I got the XL Pesto Pollo: huge pieces of chicken, all marinated in something unctuous, plus tons of cheese. My friend had tons of meat on her pizza. I got take away slices once from the downtown shop, and was honestly better than Main full pies. I feel the Main Street quality has diminished since this posting, so maybe try your local HQ instead. Sad to say this, as they had good parking. It looks better than it tastes. The Cauliflower crust is over spiced, it competes with the pizzas toppings and the result an is overwhelmingly salty aftertaste that just won't leave. I found that really disappointing as the first bite of the crust was exquisite but quickly ended up feeling like I'd just opened a bag of "all dressed" potato chips. Crusts are usually made fairly bland to avoid that problem. Pizza Garden is also ridiculously expensive, capitalizing on the 'artisan' pizza image it fails to live up to. I'm not someone who likes pizzas covered with cheap toppings, but Pizza Garden is does not have the sophistication or quality to justify their high prices. Well last time I had their pizza, I had some not so great experience. The owner of the restaurant contacted me and remade me a pizza. This time it was not bad. I think the reason for last time experience was that we ordered many pizza and didn't consume it right away. We definitely ordered like 10 pizzas and once it started to sit for awhile it doesn't taste as great. So this time got the remade pizza and ate it right away. The quality was dramatically different. Also when I went to pick up the pizza the pizza chef came to greet me and told me about their pizza. It is restaurant style made as fast food. After a long day out we picked up a pizza based on a friend's recommendation. Got it home and began to eat but all we could taste was burnt crust. Turned it over and the bottom was all charred. Don't mind a few blackened bits given that it's baked over stones but this was bad. When we called to complain they offered a make-good which was fair enough but they said we had to come right back. The last thing we wanted was to jump in the car again so I suggested tomorrow instead. Nope. Best they'd offer next day was 20% off. Lame. 2 minutes ago Do not order from this place unless you like hair in your pizza! I ordered pizza from this place and there was hair cooked into the pizza. They told me they couldn't give me a refund because I couldn't prove where the hair came from. You can clearly see it's cooked into the pizza. It came from whoever made it. Disgusted. read more

The people giving this place 4 or 5 stars are on meth. Cardboard crust, and almost no sauce or toppings, and trying to pass it off as Neapolitan. The pizza here sucks, I'd just as soon eat Fresh Slice. I LOVE Pizza Garden, but not this location. The employees are too lazy to heat your pizza for you and I find that bizarre. Even after they "heat" it up for you, it's not even hot, nor warm... Also this lady was sweeping the floor and there was several of us, she swept the stuff on the floor to the counter area (not all the way), leaving us to stand on it and our shoes were slipping. Meh not a fan. I wanted to like this place because people seem to love the other locations, but after several tries I think it's more than coincidence. It's not a good sign when a pizza shop supplies its customers with squeeze bottles full of ranch or garlic dressing, because it means they don't stand behind their pizza. The meagre toppings frequently only go two thirds of the way up the slice, which wouldn't really be such a big deal if the crust was any good. There's barely any tomato sauce or cheese, but hey! Call it thin crust or Neapolitan and you can put on barely any toppings and charge what you want! My slice of 'Hawaiian' only had 2 miserable little pieces of canned pineapple and a few slivers of paper thin ham. From now on I'll be going a few blocks east to Straight Outta Brooklyn if I'm going to indulge in the carbs. read more

I checked out the new Pizza Garden located at 3011 Main Street with my son. Full disclosure...I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. I had a terrific experience at Pizza Garden. The Pizza is really outstanding. The crust is delicious. The ingredients are fresh and varied. You can buy by the slice. I enjoyed a slice of the Prosciutto Funghi and Capicolla. My son, more of a traditionalist enjoyed a slice of Hawaiian and Pepperoni. The interior is very warm and inviting. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Love the fire pizza oven with the glass mosaic tile, the window bench seating and the pizza display area. I will be returning very soon for some oyster mushroom, pepperoni, and Alex's favorite the Hawaiian. read more

Lifes crazy busy and the Main St location makes it easy for me to park, run in and gobble down a few slices before or after work. Plenty of flavours and always crispy bubbly. If i have time I like to sit in the window and watch all the main street freaks, hipsters and ladies go by. Love the Main vibe! I'd like to think I'm a bit of a pizza connoisseur, a pizza know-it-all, basically your resident pizza lady. You get it, I love pizza. I honestly keep coming back to Pizza Garden strictly because of their X-Large size. From what I've seen, no other place in Vancouver serves this large of a pizza. Whenever I get pizza here I make sure to get an XL box because pizza leftovers are the bomb (and because the boyfriend won't settle for anything smaller). I've ordered delivery from them numerous times by now (pollo pesto all the way!) and each experience has been a little bit different. Their phone service has always been consistent, helpful and efficient. The pizza on the other hand is sometimes hit or miss. I've had times where the pizza was perfectly baked, fresh and delicious, and there have been other times where the pizza was so thin that when I picked it up all the toppings fell off. I'm not sure what the reason is for their inconsistency of pizza quality. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that maybe it was just very late into the night and they didn't realize they were making a thin pizza. But like I said, I'm not sure. Anyway, if you want decently cheap pizza and you order from Pizza Garden, keep your fingers crossed it's on one of their good days. read more

I remember when pizza garden was like 2.50 a slice. Now it's 4.50 a slice and no slice is worth that to me.

Full disclosure: I'm a big fan of Pizza Gardens around town. I've bought slices at this location many times and they've always been great. However, the one time I ordered delivery from here, there were very little, to no toppings four inches in from the crust. It was like a small topping pizza sitting in the middle of a large crust. I want to order from here again but I'm afraid I'll get the same disappointing result. For now, I'll stick to dropping in for slices. read more

My foodie family and I fell in love with this joint's humble but clean and satisfying Richmond location (and it's pies) so I was really happy to be able to stop here on my way downtown. Mobile ordering was surprisingly smooth and had great images that helped me decide on my pizza. Disinterested in quality, terrible customer service, avoid at all costs. I ordered a pizza for pick up, they told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. Picked it up on time and after a 5 minute walk my friend and I were chowing down. The pizza, though ordered it fresh, was ice cold. We sadly chewed on the cardboard-like pizza, but finally called to complain. The response from the lady on the phone was, "What do you want me to do about that?" I was dumbfounded. Since Pizza Garden opened on Main it's been my go to for take out and delivery! Thin crust with a wide variety of fresh toppings (think artichokes, kalamata olives, gorgonzola, capicolla, smoked salmon). We usually get the parma prosciutto pizza that has arugula on top, which I highly recommend. The XL pizzas are huge, and just over 20 bucks. Ordering online is easy and delivery is always super quick - I don't think I've ever waited more than 30 minutes. No complaints from me except that they do charge a small delivery fee (around $3). read more

After cooling off a bit I'm editing my review to be a bit more clear. This poor rating is not about their pizza, which I find pretty damned good for delivery. Perhaps one of the best in the city in that regard. They've managed to translate Neapolitan style pizza to delivery pizza, hats off there. But... the delivery experience can be a total nightmare. Our last 2 orders have been disasters. The first of them was a month or so ago, on a Friday I think, it took 2 hours to get it to our door. We got no phone call or any communication at all during that time. I called and complained and they just state that 45min is the average time but it can take longer and on that particular night they didn't have many drivers working. Great excuses for poor service! They didn't offer to compensate us in any way for the delay, but to be fair I don't think they offer that anywhere on their site. The pizza finally arrived, somehow not cold and I vowed to perhaps, consider never ordering from them again. Then last night, 1.5 hours of waiting later, I called to enquire about our order. Only for them to tell me that they hadn't even begun to make the pizzas at all! We expected it to be busy it being Halloween, fair enough. Because of that, we ordered at 4:45pm, thinking if it came before 5:30 or 6pm that'd be fine. We again, received zero communication from them about the order status. Needless to say we cancelled the order and 7 adults and 3 hungry kids didn't have dinner, awesome. Thankfully Fresh Slice saved us :o I like their pizza and we've ordered from them many times but I'm never doing it again after this. Shame they can't handle their popularity. read more

I went to the Main Street location with 3 adults, 4 kids. The lady working there was BEYOND horrible!!! Her attitude was absolutely disgusting and my friend could understand that she was talking bad about the customers in Tagalog. When we asked for separate plates for the children she rolled her eyes at us. Also, it was 7 PM and my son wanted Hawaiian pizza slices and they REFUSED to make some for him ( her and the two young guys in the back). It closed 4 hours after we arrived and it was a popular kind!! Considering the $ we spent and her completely shitty attitude it's safe to say we are NOT going back. Won't recommend to anyone. They didn't wear gloves or wash their hands between cash handling and serving food either. Pizza was cold and terrible (it's always been great in the past) overall disaster!! read more
