Pizza Forum sits just steps from the Colosseum, and it delivers exactly what you hope for when you wander into a Roman pizzeria hungry and curious. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with that unmistakable aroma--fresh dough meeting a blazing-hot oven--setting the tone for a meal that feels warm, familiar, and effortlessly Italian. The pizzas are the star, crafted with a light, airy crust that still offers that satisfying Roman crisp. Each pie arrives with vibrant toppings that taste as if they were gathered that very morning. The classic Margherita is a beautiful example of simplicity done right: bright tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and basil that brings everything to life. If you lean toward something heartier, their specialty combinations are generous without ever feeling heavy, allowing each ingredient to shine. Beyond the pizza, the menu includes a range of comforting Italian staples--salads, pastas, and antipasti that round out the experience. Service is relaxed and friendly, and even with its prime location near one of the world's most visited landmarks, the restaurant maintains a welcoming, unfussy atmosphere where you can slow down and savor. Whether you're taking a break from sightseeing or settling in for a casual dinner, Pizza Forum offers good food, fair prices, and a dependable slice of Rome just minutes from the ancient stone walls of the Colosseum. It's the kind of place that reminds you why Italian pizza has an unmatched place in the culinary world.

I'm very late for the review so I don't recall the name of all the food but it was excellent! Although they say "Stay away from touristy area food spots" this one was not like others we had been too. After a late night colosseum tour this place hit the spot. You had both the vision of a beautiful Italian spot, the inside pulled you back into time and was very visually lush. The service was good and friendly and the food was delicious. Very flavorful. I'd highly recommend if you're hungry after a colosseum tour or just in that area in general.

I don't even know where to start. If you're starving and not a picky eater, then yes you should eat here. We knew it was a touristy place but figured you can't mess up a caccio e pepe or a margarita pizza. I was so wrong. The pasta was undercooked that you needed a knife to cut it. The pizza was bland with just one single basil leaf and the cheese did not melt. The appetizers were also unseasoned and very greasy. Not a place you will likely come back to. Very disappointing. The service was ok, so that's that.

Although the pizza was definitely different from what I'm used to in the states, I absolutely loved it! I got the O' Vesuvius and thought it was fantastic. The pizza itself was incredibly thin - about the thickness of a crepe - so this isn't something you can simply cut into slices and pick up and eat. It's a fork and knife pizza. The amount of tomato sauce was pretty light and I wish there would have been more but besides that I enjoyed everything else about it. It's hard to see but they use large slices of spicy salami so there were four total which took up the entire pizza. And the stuffed crust was also really good! I ended up eating about 95% of the entire pizza even though I probably should have stopped earlier. But it tasted good! Mom had the Carbonara and she wasn't a fan of it. I tried some and I didn't really like it as well. The sauce was heavy and lacked any flavor, it was just bland. I know that's a popular dish but it wasn't for us. And then I didn't really like the Suppli. They were super greasy, and again, once you started eating them, the insides just didn't have any discernable flavor. And I couldn't taste any cheese inside it at all. I'd still recommend eating here though because that pizza was a delicious experience! I'd probably just get a different pizza instead of the pasta next time! The location was also good, close to the Colosseum as well as where we stayed which was nice. Not too crowded when we got there around 5pm so we had a nice table right by the window!

Really beautiful aesthetic here! Definitely did not expect that from looking at it on the outside but absolutely locked at the moment we stepped in. Supplì - We really wanted to try this after proper street food place but this was the last night in Rome so had to get it here. Actually delicious! Crispy on the outside and lot of flavor. Cacio e Pepe - Simple but tasty. Just the right amount of cheese and pasta was cooked well too. O' VESUVIUS (Tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, spicy salami, pecorino cheese, ricotta-filled crust) The spicy salami was amazing! Really love the creative Ricotta stuffed crust as well. I think that's what made the crust edible cuz otherwise it was quite thick. Salmon And Truffle Pizza (Mozzarella, smoked salmon, yellow tomato, burrata, truffle flakes) We were hoping the burrata would actually be more creamy on the inside, but after cutting it up and distributing it on the pieces it went really well with the salmon. A great idea for breakfast as well haha. Also got a Hazelnut Biscoff layered dessert from the display to share. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

I can hear for lunch before my Colosseum tour. The outdoor dining was very good. The staff very friendly and attentive. I ordered the carbonara. It was not the noodles I was expecting that was probably me not reading the menu properly. But it was still good and a good portion. Definitely a good choice for food.

This pizzeria offers a specific taste that I'd recommend only if you know what to expect; it might not suit all palates. Beyond that, the experience was let down by lackluster service and very cramped seating. For the price, which felt a little high, I expected better overall."

Delicious pizza right by the coliseum! Sure, it's a little touristy, but worth it for the location and the pizza! Tried a couple different pizzas, all were delicious. Any of them with ricotta stuffed crusts were my favorite! Good drinks, nice servers, overall great experience!

Pizza For-YUM This is a must stop at if you're in Rome! The pizza was amazing, we got the gourmet octopus pizza and one was enough for the both of us along with the god father drink and an aperol spritzSo thankful we got a table here, it fills up quick & service was one of the best since we've been here! The vibe is so fun! The music is playing and everyone eating is so happy to be sitting outside and enjoying their time honestly I think when it comes to seating this was one of our favorite places it was exciting and lively!

Pizza Forum is a huge, air-conditioned, tourist-friendly pizza restaurant located close to the Roman Colosseum. The specialty here, of course, is pizza, rolled out fresh and baked to order in a wood-fired oven. The Capriciossa was topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, artichokes, mushrooms, ham, and olives, and while tasty, the proportion of toppings wasn't well-balanced, and the cheese overwhelmed the other flavors. We also had their signature Forum pizza, which was folded at each of the four corners before being baked, and each of the four toppings contained a different filling: mozzarella, rapini (broccoli rabe), ham, and sausage. While creative, the dough of this pizza was far too thick, and portions of it were still raw in the middle. While this restaurant was a comfortable place to sit down and rest from the heat, the food was mediocre and the service was almost nonexistent.

After walking around the Colosseum and the surrounding ruins all day this is a perfect spot to sit and refuel. The food is delicious! I recommend any pasta on the menu. Serving size is perfect, but if you need more try any of the starters. The service was great! They were efficient, my food came hot and delicious.

They have a small pizza and a bigger size which I would say is about 10 inches. The small size was sold out on my first visit and found out better to arrive earlier (before 6) for these. The Mini pies are good if you want to try a few varieties-so many so little time. Ordered the big Amatriciana (the unloved pasta dish of the big Roman four as a pizza) which was recommended-Pecorino, mozzarella with the Pork cheeks taking it over the top-one of their most popular and rightfully so! On the second visit , they had the small size pies-Friarielli & Salsiccia-Broccoli Rave and sausage-tasty, Fegato & Cipolla-pork liver sausage with onions and peppers made for a "not everyday" and delicious pie. Both visits service was excellent and engaged. This place screams independent and one of a kind but it turns out they are a regional chain with a handful of locations. Plus, the space is very hot inside, but better to sit near the window or do takeaway. I wasn't very hungry, but wanted one last pizza in Italy. When I saw that this spot does mini pizzas, which means I was able to choose a variety of flavors; I was so excited! Unfortunately, they ran out of the mini pizza dough and only had the large. It really is a shame, because I didn't think the bigger version is worth €15 each. Nonetheless, I ordered the Burrata & Anchovies while the husband got Pepperoni. I really did enjoy the flavor and chewiness of the dough. The burrata also gave it such a nice creaminess to balance the pizza that worked perfectly. Sadly, I had to waste a slice because I couldn't finish the larger pizza, so still a bit upset that I couldn't order the mini. With that said, it's a delicious pizza spot.
