Pinsitaly - Cheers at Pinsitaly - Pizza Near Me - Rome, RM

This restaurant is located just around the corner of Trevi fountain. It's very tourist friendly, and the waiters try their best to acknowledge us and provide quick service. It's a small casual restaurant, with inside and patio seating. There was a 15-20 min wait. They offer reasonably priced pizza and pasta options for 10-15 euros along with a drink. Mushroom pizza tasted the best to us. Taste is decent, but not amazing. Would recommend if looking for a quick meal in the area! read more

This is a solid pizza and pasta spot. There was a bit of wait for a table, but it wasn't too bad. Service was straight to the point, no frills. We were tired and hungry so yes, everything tasted great. Very convenient to lots of touristy attractions. read more

Quick causal spot , where the crew is working hard to take your order, bring your food, and clear your table when done. They were very busy and packed with people sitting inside and outside. They have mini and regular sized pinsas which vary depending on the type of sauce you want- red, white, or olive oil They also have a pinsa (pizza) and Suppli (like an arancini) combo. score! Any Suppli you get is gooood. It's filling and has gooey cheese in the middle. For my pinsa I went with a spicy one that came with jalapeños and habanero oil. Haha I was craving heat in Italy and it delivered. Food was good! read more

tl;dr this pinsa-ria may not rank among must-try Roman eats, but the traditional Roman pies are reasonable for a light lunch around Trevi Fountain When it comes to Roman pizza, most people's minds jump to pizza al taglio. However, another, lesser-known Roman style is pinsa, a flatbread-like creation that dates back to Ancient Rome. Derived from the Latin word 'pinsere' (which translates as "to stretch or spread"), pinsas feature an ovoid crust made from a combination of soy, rice, and wheat flour; fermented for 72 hours; and baked at a low temperature. As a result, the crust possesses a uniquely crispy exterior and cloud-like interior. The modern reinterpretation of pinsa began early this century, and pinsa-centric spots have become increasingly popular across Rome. One such pinsa-ria is Pinsitaly, a cozy cucina just blocks away from the bustling Trevi Fountain. Cured meats, twinkle lights, and pine garland hang from the rafters. The single recessed shelf is decorated with an assortment of antiques and wine bottles. A mix of English and Italian pop echoes around the room. Each time the waiter pushes open the double doors of the kitchen, expect the aroma of freshly baked pinsa to fill the air. My family and I arrived for lunch to escape the Trevi crowd, and we found the side street that Pinsitaly calls home to be refreshingly relaxed. After perusing the menu, we decided upon 3 Mini pinsas: the Salmone e Bufala, the Peperoni e Salsicca, and the Funghi. The salmon pie was whimsically ambitious, and I enjoyed the pleasantly bold salinity. The pepper (not pepperoni) and sausage pie sported tasty sausage. Finally, the mushroom pinsa featured what appeared to be underwhelming, supermarket-variety 'shrooms. Across all of the pinsas, I was left feeling like I was eating flatbread with toppings heated up on a pre-baked crust. While said crust was light and slightly poofy, the completed pinsa never truly exceeded the sum of its parts. The Pinsitaly "Normal"-sized pie was as large as a carving board, so the Mini is a better bet for more variety across a party. The service was welcoming, and the prices were affordable. While Pinsitaly may not dazzle, you could certainly do far worse around the touristy Trevi. read more

AMAZING!! Small restaurant and took about 20 minutes to get seated, but worth it. Food was really amazing and couldn't have asked for anything better. The tomatoes were so fresh! The bruschetta was great, the pizza was great and the roasted pork sandwich was great. One of the best meals we had in Italy. read more

Delicious food in a little cozy atmosphere! The no tomato pizza was my favorite, because it was flavorful with a perfectly crunchy crust. Get there 6:30/7 pm to not have a long wait. The service was very good, and a place I would definitely return to if we stayed a little longer. read more

Not a tourist trap! Honestly Pinsitaly screamed tourist trap with the close proximity to the sites, the lunch specials board, and the endless barrage of clueless tourists milling about. Maybe it still is a trap, a pizza trap that is, because this ended up being one of my favorite pizzas on my trip to Rome. I asked for a staff recommendation from the server and was surprisingly given the carbonara as a favorite. So be it, when in Rome, Carbonara it is! When the wooden pizza tray arrived at the table, the visuals were impressive and the aroma intoxicating. Believe me it was oh-so-hard, to lead with my iPhone camera. One quick snap was all I could do before taking a bite. Initial thoughts? The are-you-kidding-me, this crust was rocking! Crunchy in an absolutely delicious way which should have been impossible with overloaded generous toppings on top. Dave Portnoy would be thrilled with this firm, no flop masterpiece. Not impressed yet? Well how about some Carbonara toppings screaming "I am rich" leaving your stomach screaming to stop stuffing yer face, it can't take anymore. Every bite of this masterpiece was a rich smokey heavenly bite. Even with the tourist scene, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Seating is a little cramped but you won't notice that being the case after one bite. If you go, get the carbonara and let me know if you can resist to urge to bite before a snap. Good luck! read more

Overhyped. Plain pizza. Looks like a tourist trap. Servers seem frazzled, terrible cramped seating unable to relax. Taste is like frozen. Please do yourself a favor and try somewhere else in Rome read more

Pinsitaly - Not good at all unfortunately- had many other spots in Rome that were fantastic but not this one - Pizza Near Me - Rome, RM

Great food, very accommodating service. There is a reason they have a bazillion trip advisor awards. I was expecting super touristy but the food speaks for itself and the service was fantastic. Also the food comes out very quickly. This place has a line almost always, and I would say worth the wait. read more

We found this restaurant by chance last night. We read reviews and had high expectations. Fabrizzo met us at the door and quickly took a drink order and told us to wait a few minutes to be seated. I've been in the restaurant business for 20+ years and can't remember a time where my expectations were EXCEEDED like they were last night. Fabrizzo may be one of the best servers I've ever had. Food was excellent, ambiance was fantastic and service was amazing. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant and will make sure to return every time I'm in Rome. read more

Quick meal near the Trevi Fountain. We have the Margarita pizza. The food was good and the service was fast!

Wow this place exceeded my expectations. Had the best food and a very good waiter!! I highly recommend doing a sampler platter of pizza options. Pick the minis so you can try what sounds good. The ambiance is amazing! We got there at 7pm which was perfect timing. After 8pm there was a long line to get in. Definitely worth going read more

Patient with tourists. Good portion options. Reasonably priced. The only "negative" would be that it's small and probably fills up much of the time. read more

Small restaurant near the Trevi Fountain....always with line so you know that this is a good restaurant. We were here for lunch and I am not a pizza person.....but their Margherita flat pizza is delicious, simple ingredients packed with flavors. My daughter ordered a spicy salame pizza, sooo good too. They offer a meal deal (pizza and a drink) or you can order ala carte. Service is good, friendly waiters and good for the budget. When in Rome..... try PINSITALY! read more

So glad we found this little spot on our last night in Rome! We were looking for a great casual pizza place and this was perfect. Offers indoor and outdoor seating options and very friendly and attentive staff, it's welcoming to tourists and non Italian speakers alike. We sat outside, ordered drinks and started with the rice croquettes as recommended by the server. Lovely crunch on the exterior of the croquette and maybe the best cheese pull I've ever gotten. Served hot and in a cute little basket. The pizza had a very thin crust and had a great exterior crunch but was soft on the inside....perfect amount and flavor for the red sauce and I loved the combination of cheeses sprinkled on top. Really, really nice bite every time. The porchetta sandwich was served hot and melty on really nice homemade bread....like the pizza crust, it had the soft springy interior and nice bready crunch on the exterior. The layers of eggplant, nicely seasoned porchetta and cheese were heavenly. This was the most inexpensive meal we had during our entire trip but that was not reflected in the level of service or food. I loved every bite of food I had here and would happily return!! read more

This is another small restaurant we decided to try because of recommendations from other Yelpers. There usually is a long line, but we came in when there weren't that many customers, so we got seated right away. The service is quick. It's quite noisy because it's right by the street. The food we ordered tasted great. We were satisfied. The gentleman who served us was attentive and polite. It's definitely something to consider on my next visit. read more

Pizza was good. The pepperoni was better than the sauce and mushroom one. Too many mushrooms and the sausage was a little too gamey for my liking. But everything was fine. Their croquettes were pretty good. Customer service was good, it was pretty slow when we went. There was just another couple in there besides us. Convenient location. read more

Small place but nice ambiance , fair price for a great meal if your pressed for time. We ate there 3 times and loved everything we ordered.

Our first stop for a bite in Rome. Ordered a couple of sandwiches and beers before wandering around the city. The waiter offered the pizza/drink/arancini combo. Thought we were being up-sold but decided to get it any way. Then he said we can't miss their sliced porchetta appetizer served on a charcuterie board. Now we knew we're getting the tourist treatment, but WHEN IN ROME! So glad we took their suggestion as everything was fantastic. Our kids, who love pasta, opted out of our nice dinner and wanted to eat there again for dinner while we went elsewhere. We spent 4 days in Rome, and on our last day, before heading to the airport fornthe next leg of our trip, we went back to Pinsitaly one last time for that porchetta. Highly recommend and will return next time we're in Rome. There is seating for about 24 people inside with more seating outside. Inside you'll find typical old tavern feel with dark wood interior. Outside seating is your typical Italian Cafe style seating. Bonus - - you're about a 5 minute walk to the world famous Trevi Fountain. read more

It was our first restaurant in Rome. We walked to the Trevi Fountain after our arrival on the first day. It's hot and we were tired. I found this place on TripAdvisor. It's a cute little place steps away from Trevi. We got two pasta dishes and a pizza. The pizza was delicious, we thought the pasta was just OK. It costs €40 for 3 people. If you are near the fountain and need a quick bite, it's a fine place to go. read more

Prices were fair and staff was very attentive and friendly. We LIKED the pizza but didn't love the pizza. We don't know if it was just an off night The crust was a bit too hard for our liking like a piece of almost burnt toast. The pasta was also good. It not a place I'd rush back to but it was by no means bad. read more

We were heading to Il Chianti restaurant just around the block, but they said they have limited menu, because it was before 7pm, we had still another 1 and a half hour for it. Also, the guy was very dismissive and rude, then we stepped out. Then walking by, randomly we walked into Pinsitaly, it is a small shop serving homemade pizzas. When i tell you it was good, good is not enough to express their pizza. The dough crust, sauce, cheese, so much flavor!! The tomatoes are beyond fresh, the smell of freshness, if i have a chance, i would jump on a flight to have this pizza again!! The also serve beer and wine besides the sodas and soft drinks, i am so glad to came her and definitely will be back again! read more

One of the best meals I've had in Italy, and one of the most affordable. This family restaurant is near the trevi fountain, and is no frills classical Roman food that is so so delicious. Fast, friendly and great pizza. Kids loved the pizza. Small restaurant with big results.

Delicious pizza, cold drinks and amazingly helpful and kind (and hard working!) staff. It's obvious they take great pride in serving everyone (and it's a LOT of people.) Best pizza I've ever had in my life. We were visiting from the US and stumbled upon this place after checking out another pizza spot that was a bit too fancy for our taste and had a line out the door. We just wanted essentially a pepperoni pizza. I'm so glad we found Pinsitaly because we walked right in, were seated by the friendly staff, we ordered a large pizza to share and it was so good we ordered another mini to share. We then spent a few days in Positano and tried Naples style pizza and were so disappointed in that, we made Pinsitaly our first stop when we returned to Rome. The prices are very reasonable and I could have eaten lunch here every day. If I ever get the chance to go back to Rome, that's exactly what I'll do. read more
