This is the old Round Table in Arnold. It was very clean when I walked in to pick up my phone order. I was greeted as soon as I got into eyesight. My order was ready when they said it was supposed to be and cooked the way I requested, well done, with onions only on half of one of the pizzas. They had done in seating and a small bar with some beer and wines on tap too! It was a little pricey but I guess so is everything now? Two 16" pizzas and a pasta was 100 bucks. Really great pizza, honestly the best I've had in a long time in CA. Very classic style of pizza, chewy crust and medium thickness. Friendly staff. On our way out we heard some staff excitedly chatting about positive feedback from another customer, which tells me that the people currently employed here take pride in their work. Came here after a day sledding with hungry kids and an even hungrier husband. Staff was great, things to do for the kids and a cold glass of wine for mom. A very decent lunch option for a group heading out of Calaveras with hungry kids in tow, who needed an option near a Tesla Supercharger. At 1:50pm on a Monday, the Chinese restaurant was closed, and the Country Kitchen at the other end of the plaza had just stopped serving lunch (ended at 1:45pm). Thus Pizza Factory was our only option, and it worked out. There was no wait. They have an arcade that the kids loved, and begged us for money to play games and buy toys. It cost $80 total for a large pizza, 2 salads, and 1 spaghetti. This was enough food for 4 adults and 4 kids between ages 2-6. * Factory Special & Veggie Special pizza - 3 stars. Fine, the bacon was plentiful & soft on the Factory side. Soft thick crust. * One trip salad bar ($8) - 3 stars. They had a decent amount of options for a standard salad bar. Spinach & iceberg were the two lettuce options, lots of veggies, a couple cheese options, about 4 dressings. I loaded it up with bacon and chickpeas to be extra filling. * Spaghetti & meatballs ($14) - 2.5 stars. This appeared to be a baked spaghetti (even though there is also a separate baked spaghetti on the menu), as there is a layer of baked cheese on top. Our kids were fine with it but not what I expected. We are visiting in Arnold and the warm weather kept us from wanting to cook at the cabin. I found Pizza Factory on Yelp and despite the review scores, we gave it a shot. The most recent review was positive and played a role in choosing this spot. The location is clean, spacious and has a cool arcade corner for kids. They've got good beers on tap, too. We ordered a good range of food. The pasta and wings were tasty. They are simple recipes and pleases the kids and the adults equally. Of the pizzas, my favorite was the Awesome Combo. They do not cut you short on toppings! This pie was loaded very well and tasted great. I'm not very often in this area; however, I would recommend it locals and for anyone stopping in town and want to skip a night of cooking. read more

I really want to like their pizza..but I don't. The crust never holds the toppings. When you pick it up everything just falls off the thin, floppy, zero crispy crust. The staff is always very nice though so that's good. read more

We live locally but I cannot support this pizza place any longer. We came in tonight for the special "free breadsticks with a large pizza on Tuesdays," but because we ordered an XL pizza (for more money of course), we were told by the kids working there that our XL pizza didn't qualify for the the Tuesday special. THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY ZERO BUSINESS SENSE, and they lost a customer tonight. We've tried and tried with this place, but their service just sucks, their pizza is mediocre at best, and it's expensive. My advice to the owner: get a real manager and don't leave your business to kids who obviously don't give two craps about your customers or your business. MY ADVICE TO EVERYONE ELSE: Skip this place and take your business to Mike's in Angels Camp (pick it up on your way home or to your cabin), where they know how to take care of their customers, it's a better pizza, and you'll save a few bucks. read more

Called to place an order for pickup, they did not answer the phone. Decided to drive down and place the order in person. Waited at the register for 5 minutes before the 4 workers in the back decided to end their conversation pow-wow and finally take the to go order. Paid 76$ for 2 XL pizzas that were the same size as the large pizza pan they advertise. The said it was a 30 minute wait, ok no problem. Was a 50 minute wait. There is no sense of urgency at all in this establishment. I've never seen a pizza place turn out pizzas at such a slow rate. If I owned this restaurant, I would be extremely concerned and be looking extremely hard to find a manager that could actually run this place efficiently, definitely a huge downgrade from the roundtable that was here. I will never be returning, in fact I cannot wait to see them close their doors it's embarrassing. They were OUT of cheese and peppers and paper plates too! And the pizza itself is nothing special at all. If it was top quality, I can see past the wait times and the bad service, but clearly no one takes pride or believes in this brand. It's only worth going here if you're one of the guys' hot tub buddies. I went in last Sunday and was told my order would be ~25min. We always try to patronize a new business in our area. We went here early on and the service was really bad and the pizza was not so good either and the salad bar looked disgusting/stale food. BUT- We always understand that there are kinks to work out when opening a new business. We keep hearing bad things about this place but decided to try again and ordered a pizza for delivery. First they told us they did not deliver to our area. Then we asked them to double check, since the person answering sounded like a kid. Then they asked and were told they DO deliver to us. We were told the pizza would arrive about 8pm....that was a little over an hour, but that was OK. About 9pm (an hour late) we still had not heard anything. We called and they said the delivery guy just left and would be here in about 5 minutes. Well about 9:30 we still had not heard anything. We called again, and then they told us that they forgot to tell the driver and that he already went home. Mind you that NO ONE contacted us about any of this...we had to keep calling. Then they apologized and said they would comp us a FREE pizza later, and to just call in. We called in to get our free pizza, my husband told them it was comped, and they said OK and took our info again..... and then they called back and now told us they won't give us a free pizza and we have to pay for it. After reading the reviews here now, I am seeing that we are not the only ones that have had poor service at this place. They should have had the kinks worked out by now, and to flat out NOT honor an offer they made to make up for a mistake/poor service on their part, WOW! I wish ROUND TABLE was back! Customer service was top notch, and the food was absolutely delicious as well. We ordered cheesy breadsticks, an antipasto salad, and 24 garlic parmesan wings. We also ordered 4 bottles of water, but they called before leaving the restaurant to tell us they were out of water. My boys said the wings were the best they've had, and they've had a lot of wings before! My salad was absolutely delicious. Pizzas are decent. But this restaurant has a bad reputation for extremely long wait times. If this what you are known for... make a change. Staff up. Pre-prep more dough and ingredients, improve your operations. Instead customers feel held hostage, putting in orders with a bunk wait time only to be told upon pick up that the order will take another 45+ minutes (or more). I love the Rio Vista location of the Pizza factory so much that I had been looking forward to taking my friends to this Arnold location for years. I'm sad to say our experience was not comparable to our home Rio Vista location & I would not recommend coming here. I ordered online & our food was not ready for more than an hour after we were asked to arrive for pickup. My friends sat for the entire hour + while they could see that the staff was making our pizza, presumably wrong, then started over again. After the much longer wait than expected the quality of the pizza was dramatically lower than what we are used to as well from our other favorite location. Next time we'll definitely be sticking to the local's preference, the Murphy's Pizza co., or try something new read more

So based upon past reviews I was hesitant to go here but I am so glad we did. I believe the place is under new management and they seem to be doing everything right. I waited to post this until we went twice in consecutive weeks on different days of the week. The service is mountain paced and that's fine with me (think island time). Everyone that works there is genuinely nice to customers from my observations. The pizza is very good. The salad bar is damn good, fresh and well kept which is HUGE for me. The Pizza Breads and wings are the unsung hero's. Their hot bbq and mango habanero and ranch sauces are perfect! They have a good list of taps for beer lovers. Found a good hazy and a good IPA. This is a mountain pizzeria. I'm super happy to have found it. There's ample seating and arcade games. When it's packed don't come expecting a quick dinner. Plan ahead.
