My wife dragged me to the Cinco de Mayo celebration at Columbia State Park, and while the event itself wasn't really my scene, the trip became worth it the second we walked into St Charles Saloon. Great beer selection on tap--including the Red Trolley Ale from Karl Strauss--and the pizza was outstanding. Honestly, I don't understand how a place this small can make such a delicious pizza. We ordered two extra-large pizzas, and they were so good the leftovers got eaten on the ride home and again later that night. Got St. Charles Saloon pizza delivered (thanks hahaha) - and what a treat it was! Love this place, and wanted to see if it could hold the test of the long journey back to the Bay. Popped it into the air fryer, and it turned out fine :) I wanna say... the size is smaller than I remembered but I also can't confirm. And yeah, next time, I'm gonna either see if they have their hamburger pizza or just get a marinara pizza with chicken and basil (or just their Margherita). Wow! The food was amazing! I'm so glad we finally made it out there. The "Chuck" specialty pizza is their version of a combination pizza and it is amazing! We also split the BLT and I will say (as a BLT guy) this is hands down the best one I've ever had. It's an old time saloon inside and plenty of seating outside. For a touristy town, this spot was awesome! First off they're a pizza joint... but the pizzas aren't traditional, so pretty much whatever you're craving I'd bet there's a pizza for that! There's an also quite a few sizes, from personal to large. We ordered the small, not the personal because we were really hungry and honestly we should have gotten the personal. The two pizzas we ordered were the Buffalo chicken pizza, and the reuben. Both of them were absolutely amazing and embarrassingly enough, we ate majority of both. Only one cider on tap but it's the best seller from Indegy and it was so good that the cidery was our next stop.
