For small town's restaurant, they put a lot of effort on it. Totally admired. Very nice. 2) Husband ordered some chicken pasta special, very good. I ordered meat ball spaghetti and also caesar salad. Food is still good. Be aware that the restaurant now charges 3% if you wish to use a credit card. This was sneaked in as a "surcharge" on the tab. It would seem a great deal more reasonable. If you have to do this to add it to the price on the menu so that the customer knows exactly how much they are paying before they purchase. read more

Updated to reflect the correct cheese below! My boyfriend made reservations here while we were on vacation. First it is located in the heart of downtown Angels Camp. A cute little strip that takes you back in time. Street Parking was easy at night as most of the shops are closed. The staff here anticipate your needs and are efficient and kind. We started with bread and the Burrata and prosciutto appetizer. While tasty, the pieces of Burrata were small and it was overwhelmed by the lettuce and arugula. When the main portion of the appetizer has this name you do expect a bit more of it. That was the only miss of the night. Both the seafood fettuccine and fettuccine Alfredo were delicious. We ordered the special dessert to go. It was a peach cheesecake. It was ok but wish we would have ordered their more traditional desserts of crème brûlée or tiramisu. My family and I went to Crusco's for my birthday dinner. We happily walked in and the hostess was speaking to a staff member, didn't even acknowledge us. I said "Hi, we have a reservation for 6". The hostess looked at me expressionless and didn't speak to us. The waitress intervened and sat us. We ordered our meal from an irritated waitress. After 40 minutes, food wasn't out and my son got up to ask if the food was coming. Waitress responded "this isn't a fast food restaurant." Food cold, service poor and I really hate to say this, but we felt as if we were treated poorly based on our ethnicity. We took note that everyone else in the restaurant were pretty well taken care of. We will not return to Crusco's and are taking this off our list of suggested restaurants to eat at in Angel's Camp on our properties that we rent. read more

Perfect date night restaurant for Italian food and good service. Baked brie was good as expected, with all the yummy fixins. Polenta antonella was creamy and flavorful and very cheesy. It's not what I would usually get at an Italian restaurant but it was worth it! You can also get vegetarian versions of the polenta, but I need meat on mine! I had the Baked Brie which I thought was pretty darn good with the toasted bread that accompanied it. I opted for the Jambalaya. It wasn't bad but there were only two pieces of shrimp and I thought they over used the pepper. Otherwise it was alright. The service was acceptable. I had a taste of the spaghetti and meatballs and was impressed with the meatballs. Seems to me they use veal as it was so moist and flavorful. It came with four smallish meatballs. The building was old as this is Angels Camp after all. I did like the interior. I'd come back and try something different. read more

This was seriously some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten!! We ordered to-go, and the wonderful girl over the phone was not only nice, but she seemed to love her job! We ordered two of the chicken tortellini and got one without mushrooms, and ordered hot sausage on the side for hubby to add sausage to his. We also got a side of focaccia bread and when dipped in the vinegar/oil mix: holy yum!! The last thing we ordered was the baked brie which was the absolute best! It comes with an amazing orange sauce reduction, sliced pears, cranberries and walnuts, and crispy sliced bread.. all I can say is WOW!! This place did not disappoint! even taking it to go, we got back to our hotel and everything was still warm and amazingly delicious! Don't delay!! Eat there NOW! We had our anniversary dinner here in Angels Camp. It's a very lovely restaurant with a San Francisco vibe. The food was delicious and the wait staff very attentive. We had a cheddar cheese fondue start. The special was a huge pork chop, which my husband selected. I had the steak. Both were well prepared and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere was inviting for the occasion. We sat next to the fireplace with just the right amount of lighting. We don't drink wine but they had quite the list. We had the hard apple cider instead. It was very much like champagne. Visited Angels Camp California for the first time, and this restaurant was highly recommended. The entire Main St. was shut down (around 6 pm. on a Sunday) except for this restaurant, it seemed. Staff was friendly, and our waiter laughed at our bad jokes - bless him, lol. The food was excellent! We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, seafood fettuccine, and the ahi appetizer special, and everything was cooked well and very flavorful. We had to order the tiramisu to go, and it was heavenly. For dessert, Colleen sold me on the Bread Pudding with fresh berries and cream drizzle and a cup of coffee for the road. What I love best about Crusco's is hearing laughter from the kitchen - Life is crummy some days, but hearing joy from the kitchen reassures me Cooks love preparing excellent meals over a hot stove. Delicious! We try and go here once a month for date night and we are never let down! I always get the spaghetti and meatballs, so yummy and really fills you up! My fiancé gets the salmon every time and always raves about it. We've also tried the brownie and key lime pie for dessert which were both good. Service is quick, we have the same waitress every time and she's very attentive, just never seems too happy/smiley? Overall definitely recommend this place, it's not overly fancy so you can dress up or down, I think it's fun to have a reason to dress up tho! read more

This place somehow managed to mess up Italian food, which I didn't think was possible. The pasta was overcooked and mushy, drowning in a sauce that tasted like it came straight out of a jar. The bread was stale, the pizza was greasy with barely any flavor, and the chicken tasted dry and microwaved. For the price, I expected authentic Italian--what I got felt more like a bad cafeteria version. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I was excited to go here. I have eaten here several times and it was alway enjoyable. When first entering the restaurant it feels welcoming and staff greet you and your party warmly. However when they seat you in the back dinning room it all changed. It smelled of mildew. The food quality is also not the best. I was nauseous just from eating the spaghetti. Steak was good, Cioppino was absolutely the worst thing ive ever ordered in my life. Smelled like hot cat poop coming out of the kitchen. A Tale of Two Visits - Hoping for Consistency Our first visit to this place was excellent--amazing food, great service, and an overall fantastic experience. It was clear that the staff was attentive and the operation was running smoothly. However, on our second visit, things felt noticeably different. The food was just okay--not bad, but not at the same level as before. The service was also lacking, with the staff spending more time chatting with each other than taking care of customers. It was pretty obvious that the owner wasn't there that day. Her presence on our first visit made all the difference in how the team operated and how guests were treated. We attended a wedding rehearsal dinner here. The food was absolutely delicious. Due to a fixed menu (party size) we had limited choices but the chicken saltimbocca was cooked perfectly, and others were happy with their main pasta dishes. Bruschetta was of course perfect, as was the calamari. Green and Caesar salads were crisp and fresh. The very large (warm) brownies with ice cream and the cheesecake looked pretty darn good, too! The mixed bruschetta starter was amazing, especially the pesto one. I could have eaten a whole plate of those things!!!!!. For main we had the filet which they kindly split for my hubby and I. The service and atmosphere were awesome! The food however needed help. My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs. I'm no professional chef but I do know how to make a very good Italian sauce. Needless to say this sauce was sub par. I do have to give props to the meatballs and crabcakes as they were yummy. I had the special chicken Marsala that was not good at all. The chicken breast wasn't pounded and that led to very dry chicken. I hate to keep going but the Marsala sauce was uneventful. If this restaurant had a decent chef this place would be exceptional.
