First time visit, everything was great! Not a fancy place but don't let it deceive you. Food was excellent, so fresh and tasty. We had a group of 7, so we ordered a large pizza and a variety of pasta dishes. Sangria was excellent as well. We will definitely be back! read more

Pizza A Metro - Italian Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

OMG. The best fresh Italian food! I'm Sicilian and Calabrese, let me tell you...Gabriel and his staff make incredible food. Don't let this little place fool you! Fine dining food in a casual setting. I repeat, fine dining food quality. The pizza is some of the best I've had. Fresh, beautiful ingredients. Terrific mozzerella. Great crust made in the wood only hot oven. Not many places in AZ do wood only! You have to have their homemade gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. In-cred-i-ble. Out of this world good with some grated cheese on top! I broke a 3 month no carb diet to come eat here. It was worth every gram of carbs! Stop what you're doing and drive here now. Trust me. You will be very happy you did. Sorry I didn't take any pics, we were too busy eating course by course! read more

Holy smokes...how does this place not get shouted from rooftops!!!?!?!? Is there a way to do like, I don't know, triple 5 stars? Hands down, my new favorite place. The spaghetti was FANTASTIC. The pizza was AMAZING. read more

Went to this quaint establishment with a party of eight in the middle of the second Covid outbreak. Our server Peyton could not have been better, and the pizza ... it was easily a top five pizza of all time. I'm not the top of guy to ever turn down pizza, and there meatball pie was TOP NOTCH. If I ever make it back to AZ, I will definitely hit this spot again. Excellent food with excellent service!! read more

Their wood-fired thin-crust pie is just to die for! We've have ordered other menu items and they are also delicious, but when we're craving pizza - Pizza A Metro makes the best hands down! We usually order the metro size and the staff is super willing to customize it for our family (some of us are vegetarian) and let us do 50/50 or even thirds from their menu options - meat on the side ;). The location is so-so, but don't let that put you off from enjoying their fabulous food. These folks are passionate about making such delicious food and are a treasure in the rough! read more

Amazing food, amazing service. I live in north Phoenix and I will make the drive for this amazing pizza!!

Pizza A Metro is probably the most underrated of all the Neapolitan style Pizzerias in the Phoenix area. The margherita is always a good measuring stick and theirs is on point. Good balance of sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil, on a perfectly charred crust. I think they've just become our go-to for pizza night. read more

Pizza a Metro is far by the most delicious food one can enjoy. If you dodnt try their pizza and pasta you haven't know what the real food tastes. Margarita will treat you like a king. I'm definitely coming here at least twice a week. AAA++++ read more

Dont let the location or the outside appearance of the restaurant fool you. I rarely would give a restaurant 5 stars however, with the excellent service, fantastic food and great ambiance (ask to be seated in the back outside) I can confidently give Pizza A Metro a solid 5 stars. Their supreme pizza was one of the best that I've had and their margherita was also fantastic. Their Dessert wasn't anything special, we had the chocolate mousse cake and the cannolis so we probably won't get dessert there again but everything else was top notch and would for sure get dinner here again. read more

Do not go here... really. Do not go. I am stunned that they have good reviews. Has the world gone mad? The organization of the restaurant is so bad it's hard to fathom. Head on over to one of the other amazing restaurants in downtown Gilbert and wait in line. I live in the neighborhood and am a local business owner so I always try to patronize locally owned restaurants. I kept giving this place a chance because the food is decent, but it's not worth the ridiculousness you must go through to actually get it delivered to your table! This place is deserted for a reason. It's a crap shoot if you will actually get your meal or not. I'm guessing that their delivery service is the only thing keeping them in business. Don't go here if you value good service. No food is worth disrespect. read more

Yummy first time here amazing, drove from north phx as well, kind of tight getting in and out for pickup but so worth it

Service is both great and rather disappointing, depending on who you talk to. The pizza has great flavor, but could probably use more cheese and a crunchier crust. read more

HOLY CANNOLI! Thank goodness we came here tonight, because we're gone tomato (HAH)! The homemade pastas AND mozzarella, WOAH! And the owner (chefs kiss), AMAZING! Pizza A Metro is a PIZZA excellence. Don't sleep on this Italian spot, I'm not Alfredo to tell you it's amazing!! read more

Easily one of the best pizza places in the valley. I'm lucky to have it my neighborhood. We usually order a pizza and a past dish to share. Both are amazing and enough for at least two people. Looking forward to my next visit so I can relax in the new outdoor dining area. Yum! read more

This one is tough for me. I really wanted to love this restaurant because pretty much all of the reviews I read about it were positive and I love small local businesses. I'll start by saying that the service was pleasant. This could partly be my fault since I ordered something that I normally wouldn't, but I wasn't impressed with the pasta I ordered. I'm not a huge fan of white sauce, but what I really don't like is to have to continuously season my food after I ordered it; not just with red pepper ( a personal preference) but with regular salt and pepper. I thought maybe the pizza would change my mind, but it was really only okay. I was totally expecting it to remind me of the texture and flavor of pizza I had in Italy, given some of the reviews, but it didn't really hit the mark for me. I would love to come back and give it another shot, and again of course order a pasta more to my liking. read more

I didn't expect to find such an authentic Italian restaurant at that little corner of the road. Margherita is a great host and very friendly, I had the pizza and a salad and it was delicious. The pasta was simple but supreme. Ate almost every bit of the dishes until I physically cannot stuff more in. Would love to come back! read more

This is one of the most amazing and charming little restaurants in the valley. The best Italian ever. I loved it. It's in a strip mall right by the Circle K. Don't give up the hunt when you can't initially find it! Once you walk in you are warmly welcomed by the owner and will enjoy the best service you have ever received. The appetizer was incredible and the pizza is amazing. And try other things besides the Pizza (if you dare!) the pasta is incredible. Enjoy! read more

Absolutely delicious, thin and greasy pizza. Their pizzas range from small to "how am I gonna fit this in my car". Their toppings are tasty and fresh, and their sauce isn't overtly sweet like many places, its thin and packed with delicious flavor along with the rest of the pizza. The location itself is small, packed into a strip mall with a Circle K and plenty of vagrants so you may feel like take out is a better option. The inside is tiny but charming and the food will immediately make you forget that you're going to be pressed for change the second you reach your car. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone looking for a delicious wood fired pizza in the heart of the city, they even have a ton of tasty pasta options and a three foot pizza guarenteed to be a party pleaser. read more

we were greeted with very friendly service and a complimentary appetizer. the pizza is great, we got half prosciutto and half pepperoni and the prosciutto itself was amazing. we also got the caprese panini with a side salad, the sandwich as a whole was great but the bread was fantastic. read more

Visiting out of town from a stressful business trip, the past thing I expected was to stop and take the time to leave a review for q restaurant. Especially a pizza spot. I ate at probably a million different pizza spots throughout my life but i can hands down say this place falls into my top 5... Customer service is top notch and most importantly, quality of the food is impeccable. Good job guys. Keep taking pride in what you do !!!! read more
